"Um... what are you doing?" Reka blinked her eyes curiously.
"What do you think?" Kobi paused his push-ups, feeling his sore arms trembling terribly, 'Any second now.'
"No like... why this all of a sudden?" Reka folded her arms, her finger tapping in agitation, 'What's he brewing in that cunning mind, now?'
"Can't a man flex his muscles? Especially as one as divinely enchanting as me?" Kobi chuckled, doing one more before taking a break, a pungent scent of sweat wafted off of him– literal pool beneath him.
"Whatever, are you coming? Uros is going to be buried soon." Reka asked, finally getting to why she came.
"Buried?" Kobi raised a brow, he didn't know how this world handled things like these.
"Yea!"
Kobi went for another push up.
"In the middle of the night?" Kobi asked again, his chest begging him that it was tone enough and he could relax now.
"Uh!? That's how it's done! We bury the deceased during the hours of 12 to 1, on the same day he/she died, don't tell me you don't know?" Reka pursed her lips in exasperation.
Just how much did he know in the first place? He had been brainstorming her from the smallest to the largest thing in their village.
Her eyes suddenly widened, 'Could he be from another continent altogether?'
Kobi, unbothered by what she had in mind, did another push-up.
Kobi swallowed hard. He had saved his last glass out of ten for the day, he would drink it soon after finishing the 1000 push-ups, "Why do you do that? Like... why in the night, why not in the day?"
Seeing him totally ignore her, Reka rolled her eyes, "I don't know. And tell me quick if you're coming or not, I think only about an hour is left."
Kobi didn't answer and did another push-up.
Reka watched in annoyance
Kobi did another in exasperation.
"What the heck did you say to Rio? When I asked him to call you over, he shook his head like I was sending him to his rapist!" Reka's eyes turned into slits. This jerk... he didn't even spare kids, he was too evil. Grand evil!
Kobi smirked, gulping and doing another, he replied, "I asked him if he would like to accompany me to the forbidden side."
Reka's lips spasmed, "The shit is this forbidden side?"
"Hahah– cough, cough!" Kobi clenched his throat tightly, he glared at Reka.
He was thirsty alright? He wanted to drink water but couldn't alright? Why? Cause the bitchy system would cancel his commissions if he drank more than ten today.
Reka shrugged her shoulders, what was her fault in all this? She even asked him if he needed water earlier and he refused.
Kobi shook the thought away and weng for another one.
[Congratulations! Your daily commission, 1000 push-ups, is completed!]
As soon as the notification rung in Kobi's mind, his hands lost all strength, causing the latter's face to smack into the ground.
"Fuck!" Despite his nose hurting, a silly grin plastered over to his face.
"Oi! Are you alrig–" Reka paused in her tracks, her steps frozen in the posture of moving forward, questions appeared in her mind.
Why was this madman giggling like he just lost his mind?
"Wa–water!" Kobi laid with his dry tongue sticking out like a dog and panted heavily.
Hearing his weak voice, Reka scurried and hurriedly brought him the clay-pot and started feeding him herself.
Seeing his eyes teasingly stare at her while drinking, Reka smiled like an angel.
Kobi's teasing gaze withdrew abruptly, replaced by a dreaded plea of mercy.
The clay-pot accidentally tilted further.
"F– Gah!" Kobi couldn't curse her as the water gushed straight into his nose and ended up with him choking up.
Kobi sat up straight and slapped the back of his head in fright, his face pale and eyes teary.
'Fuck, fuck, fuck! This bitch!' Kobi wanted to push her down and give her a good spanking. But...
"Cough! Cough!"
"O-Oi!" Reka forced out a smile and patted his back, "I– I didn't mean it."
Kobi gasped as he finally felt his nose open up, giving her a twisted snarl, he barked, almost biting her with his teeth, "THEN DID I MEAN IT, YOU BITCH?"
Hearing the curse, Reka looked away while nibbing her lip, 'Control, control! You went up and beyond with your shenanigans!'
Seeing her breathe deeply, Kobi nodded, "Good, it seems you understand. Now, repay me!" Kobi looked around carefully before nodding, "Yea! Sleep, lets sleep! quick! I am waiting to let loose, ahem, I mean loosen my sleep!"
Kobi sneaked a peek at Reka.
The latter seemed to be looking for something with a frown.
Haring her mutter, 'Now, where is my sword?', Kobi cussed and immediately distanced himself.
"Ahem! Sleep, yes sleep! I must sleep with children!"
"Fuck! you beast! even kids!?" Reka stared at him in aghast. Just what was he made off?
"Shit! You dirty minded devil, I didn't mean it that way!" Kobi spat to the side, his expression dripping loath alongside his sweat.
Reka stared at him like she would burst. This scum! why did he make her feel so angry all the time?
Kobi sighed, "Life is too cruel, my offenders act as if I am the offender. Tch! They don't even compensate!" Kobi spat right next to Reka's feet. Causing the latter to tremble, she wanted to collapse right here and rest a lot!
Kobi jumped to his feet, his hands still convulsing. They seemed to say to Kobi, 'Are you freaking done? You beast! we will never forget this hineous violation.'
"Lets go, I want to wash up!" Reka, hearing his words, took the chance to take some refreashing air as he went off before quickly tagging behind him.
"You're going to the pond?" Reka asked, maintaining a good distance and clenching her nose.
"Come on! you can fake your expression as well, if you really want me to feel stinky." Kobi snorted, "All the men here always smell like this, how the heck could you bear to live here if you couldn't bear sweat?"
Kobi shook his head in disdain, she should take his drama classes.
He took a deep breath, the marine smell drifted into his nose- along with his stinky sweat.
He opened his eyes and gazed at the pond. The village men took their bath here.
The women had another one they used for themselves.
"Hehe!" Kobi chuckled, a sneaky thought resounded back and forth in his head, '~Compensation!'
"Come here!" He beckoned towards Reka.
Reka frowned and walked over.
"Look there!" Kobi pointed into the pond.
Reka moved her face closer, the crystal clear water looked pleasant, especially as the stream collapsed into it creating slow waves which spread throughout the pond.
The pond was actually self made using the stream that flowed over. The villagers created a place where they could wash off before the water drifted away, connecting to its rightful path that they obstructed.
Nobody really knew where the stream came from, but some said the stream actually circled the whole neutral area– creating a natural boundary between the forest and the desert. But, of course, they were all rumors.
The fishes whirled left and right seeing the two humans, toppled with the blue moon's reflection, Reka could admire the peace for hours.
Snapping out of her daze, she asked with a grave frown, "What?"
"You can't see it?" Kobi asked in disbelief.
"No?" Reka shook her head and peered more closely.
"Tch! Move a bit closer then!" Kobi laughed out loud and shoved Reka inside.
"AWW–" Her scream came to an abruptly hole as she splashed head-first into the water, "Y-you! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Reka bellowed, her scream piercing through the deathly silent night.
With a frown, she pushed back the wet hair obstructing her slightly oval face and glared at Kobi.
Kobi grinned maliciously, still in his boxers, he roared and jumped right over, "You couldn't see it, so I decided to move you a little closer. Now tell me, can you see your reflection?"
Glancing at his sly smirk, Reka's mouth fell loose, she smacked the water's surface and pointed towards his floating figure, "Yo_"
Not planning on listening to her rant, Kobi scopped a bunch of water and chucked it at her, "You're too hot, cool off a bit!" Kobi chuckled splashing more water towards her.
"YOU!"
Kobi clicked his tongue and hurled a wave over at her with his new-found power.
"Little pest! Let me show you the ropes!" Reka grounded her teeth and rolled her sleeves over.
Hence, a dramatic cleaning of Kobi's stench began.
After the two had played around and Reka had called quits, Kobi gazed at the moon and commanded Shik who had been pestering him non-stop about a single thing.
'Shik... Spin!'
"FINALLY! YOU JACKASS!" Shik roared with zeal before dragging the rolluete out of his front pocket, stupifying Kobi.
The latter's lips twitched as he blurted out, "Do you have to do all this... drama?"
Shik contemptuously glared at him before scoffing, "It's all about character depth child... all about character!!"
Kobi rolled his eyes and glanced at the flickering Spin Now button and before setting sights at the top reward.
'Dragon Taming!!?' Kobi's brow shot up.
Without having to ask, he knew his Shik was too useless to know anything about it.
The latter, despite hearing his words, only grounded his teeth.
With a gentle tap, the wheel spun like it was being chased by dogs, causing Kobi's eyes to roll in circles nonstop.
[Congratulations! You have obtained the System Feature: Clock!]
Kobi's lips spasmed.
Shik stared at the screen in disbelief, he knew the reward existed but... wasn't this all too timely?
Kobi took a deep breath, "YOU COULD'VE GIVEN ME A TOWEL TO GO ALONG WITH IT, YOU BITCHES!"
Reka hurriedly darted to a corner and rushed outside.
Kobi had officialy lost it, 'I knew he was a psychopath!'
"Uwaahhhh!" Kobi cursed the moon for its splendour and Reka for her pitying gaze.
He cussed and roared while pouncing towards her, "DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE I AM BRAINDEAD! MAID GIRL REKA!!"
