It turned out that Freida's assumption was correct. It was Yajel who let out the bloodcurdling scream. Her presumption was only validated after both she and Arima had returned inside the hut for the second time. And there, she saw Lurin sitting next to Yajel while watching Yajel make painful growling noises at that very moment.
Because she couldn't bear seeing him in pain, Freida approached Yajel and said, "Yajel, it's me, Freida. I want to know what's wrong with you, so please tell me." As she continued to question him, Yajel could only respond with more grunts and growls because of the pain he was in. However, he was unable to answer any of her questions.
At this point, Freida shifted her gaze to Lurin, who was occupying the seat next to them.
"What could possibly be wrong with him? What happened while we were away here? Why is he suffering so much?"
