On the deck of the ship, everyone was extremely worried about the cannonball that was headed in Freida's direction and was close enough to hit her head-on. And as Freida stood there in silence, waiting for a miracle to occur, she, too, became numb and unable to speak.
She was in such a state of disbelief that she completely forgot to pray to the heavens for some sort of divine intervention to save her life. But as the cannonball continued to hurtle toward her, Freida eventually closed her eyes and sobbed quietly.
Suddenly, Freida's mind was pulled away from her impending death by the sounds of distant blades clashing and an explosion. And when she finally opened her eyes again, the first thing she did was examine her physical body. She examined her skin to see if there were any cuts or scratches. Something that would prove her wrong if she had to be dead by now or not.
