Chapter 30 - Chapter 30

"That is all you need to do Evie, trust me it would work and you would come back to appreciate me," Sonia said with a huge smile on her face.

Evie heaved deeply, her mind somehow did not settle with this idea, her mother suggested to her.

"I would try it out mom and send you the feedback as well," Evie said with a small smile on her face.

"Ok then, let us go and have fun!" Sonia said as the duo left the house but not without Evie's bodyguards following her as well as Alexa.

Meanwhile,

Juicy sat comfortably on the swivel chair in her office, her hands working on the keyboard of her laptop.

"Ma'am you sent for me," her secretary; Susan said as she walked into her office.

"Get me some coffee, you know my taste" Juicy ordered without looking up and Susan obeyed.

In a jiffy, she was back with her coffee as ordered,

"Thank you," Juicy appreciated her.

Susan was about to leave when Juicy's voice echoed behind her

"Susan," she called out.

"Yes ma'am," Susan replied instantly.

"My schedule for today?" Juicy asked.

"You do not have any appointments or meetings today, you are free today ma'am," Susan replied.

"Okay, you may leave now," Juicy said while she returned to her laptop. The only noise that was heard in the office was that of the keyboard, her fingers were working on the keyboard as if she was a typist.

"You can not barge into her office sir," Susan's voice was heard but it was too late because the man had entered her office without even knocking.

"Ma'am, I tried stopping him but he was too adamant," Susan was quick to say.

Juicy had her gaze on the man before it returned to Susan.

"Do not worry Susan, I would handle the issue," Juicy told her and Susan used that as a cue to leave but not without glaring at the man.

"You know that you can not barge into someone's office uninvited!" Juicy said looking at the man who had a neutral expression on his face.

"What do you want, Mr Xander Walter?" Juicy asked.

"You amuse me," he shortly said,

"you and I know how much your father's company needs this contract from my company yet you do not treat me with respect. You know that if I refuse to accept this contract, your father's company would be doomed," Xander added.

"In as much as we need this contract, I would not be treating you like a king just to get the contract," Juicy said.

"Like father like daughter," Xander continued with a small chuckle.

"That's how we work here," Juicy shortly replied.

"I am not here for long talks, I am here to change some terms of this contract to my favour," he stated with a smirk.

"You know that my father was the one who hosted you and not me, you should be meeting him and not me," Juicy calmly said.

"But you were the one who held the meeting with me," he countered.

"I really can not alter the terms of the contract, if you like to change it then you would have to meet the boss in charge and not me," Juicy explained.

"Then there would be no contract! It is not like I need the contract so dearly," Xander replied as he stood up to leave.

"Wait…" Juicy trailed off when his gaze connected with hers, she swallowed hard as she tried not to look at his face again

It was time to put her pride aside to get what she wanted, sometimes pride does not help you in some tough situations, her father had too much pride and of course, she did too but she needed this contract so for now, to hell with pride.

"I think that the contract terms can be altered but you have to meet the right person, I would take you to him," Juicy said.

"Alright," Xander replied as she got up and led him to her father's office. There was an awkward silence between them till, they got to her father's office.

"Mr Xander Walter, so nice to see you," Sam was up to his feet as he welcomed Xander to his office with a handshake.

"I would have to take my leave," Juicy said, she wanted to be far away from Xander, there was this feeling she got whenever she was around Xander that she could not pinpoint

"No, you would have to stay, this involves the three of us," Xander's response made both father and daughter exchange a glance.

"What brings you here?" Sam asked calmly, Xander began to explain to him what he needed.

They spent about an hour negotiating the terms of the contract.

"I hope you would stick to the contract and would not try anything stupid" Xander said with a smile but Juicy and Sam knew that threat that was beneath his words.

"Of course, we would, I also hope that your company would not breach the contract as well," Juicy retorted earning a glare from her dad and a smirk from Xander.

"Thank you very much," Sam appreciated once more before Xander left his office.

Juicy was able to breathe in fresh air when Xander left. Thank God that he had gone

Juicy walked out of her father's company with her purse in her hands, it was a good thing that she was the boss' daughter, she could leave anytime she wanted.

Just as she was about to enter her jeep, her phone rang indicating that Evie was calling her.

After a short call with her, they agreed to meet at a boutique.

"Hi Evie," Juicy hugged her immediately after she alighted, she was so happy to see her bestie again.

"How are you doing?" Evie asked still in their embrace.

"I am fine, it is just that the stress is too much for me," Juicy replied with a small smile.

Evie narrated everything her mother had advised her to do.

Juicy was surprised but lastly, she supported the idea. The two of them bought all that Evie needed for the plan.

Evie finally returned home after a long day with her bestie, the duo had fun shopping and discussing.

Evie exhaled deeply as she collapsed on her bed, her gaze fixed on the ceiling, though her mom and bestie supported this idea of her seducing Ezekiel, the idea somehow did not settle with her inner mind, she just hoped that she would not embarrass herself

It was time for her to get ready to execute her plans!
