You sat by the window, listening to the relaxing sound of the rain. There was nothing so boring as being the only one at home without nothing to do.
The electricity went out immediately and this heavy rain which had been pouring started.
Sipping a hot cocoa, you knew the cold would increase if you didn't take matters into consideration.
Getting up and leaving the window, the symbol on your arm glowed, but your eyes didn't pick that up.
Finishing your cup of cocoa, you went straight to the kitchen, when again the mark glowed. This time, you saw it.
"What the-" Dropping the mug on the sink, you quickly looked at the glowing symbol, the eye of horus.
"Why on earth is there an Egyptian symbol on my arm?" Grabbing your phone, you dialed Jim's number, but it rang out, thrice.
"Why isn't he picking up my calls! Huh!"
Sighing in frustration, you stormed out of the kitchen, trying to figure out why, when suddenly, a lightning so bright struck.
Out of fear, you fell backwards, only to be caught by someone.
"Thanks" you thanked whosoever helped.
"No need for that My lady."
Your brain quickly functioned.
There is no one at home, just you. And someone caught you.
Looking back, you saw a total of seven Egyptian Warriors. They were ghosts, not just glowing white before turning into normal Humans.
They all fell on their knees when your eyes went wide open.
"What the?!"
"My lady, the gods sent us to bring you home" The one who caught you from falling said.
"Home?" You questioned him, but used the time asking to slip the car key into your pocket.
"Back to Egypt, back to Ramesses hands"
"Really?"
"Yes my lady," he raised his head with a furrowed brow, "Eliminating every obstacle standing in the way. Resistance is futile to our Queen."
The last sentence was spoken with coldness and you immediately knew they ain't playing.
"Whoa that is-"
"Drop the key my lady!" The second said softly.
"Say what now?" You couldn't believe they saw that. You literally took the key when they went on one knee, showing respect with a bow.
"Please don't let this go bad for you" he continued.
"Like I said….I …. You… BYE!" You quickly rushed out, flinging the door open, entered into your car and rode off.
The Egyptian warriors didn't look surprised. It was like they knew you would do that.
"We must take Lady Y/N to Egypt before nightfall."
______
The rain slowly reduced as you recklessly drove on the wet road. One hand on the steering wheel, the other dialing Jim's number.
"Come on! Pick up!!"
'Ring Ring Ring~'
"Come on!!!"
'Ring Ring Ring~'
"Damnit!."
You angrily dropped your phone as it rang out. For the fourth time.
The sound of the police siren behind made you groan. Not when you were trying to escape.
Slowing down, you parked the car by the side of the road as the cop came towards you.
"Miss, do you know how fast you are driving?" He asked.
"Officer, you don't understand-"
"Step out of the car Miss" he instructed.
Angrily, you did so.
After this, you said, "Officer, this is an emergency! I need to get away from Seven ancient Egyptian soldiers."
Your words made the man blink in disbelief.
"Why are you staring at me like that?"
"You want me to believe that there are seven ancient Egyptian soldiers coming after you now? Why?"
"Well, I traveled back in time to ancient Egypt, long story short, the pharaoh fell in love with me but I didn't want to stay there because of different reasons and-"
"Miss, you don't need a speeding ticket, you need a therapist. I'll take you to one closeby."
As you tried talking to the cop, you saw one of them. Actually the one you'd call the leader. He looked left and right before his eyes landed on you.
"I need to go now!" You jumped into the car, not listening to the ranting of the cop.
"Miss, if you don't come out, I'll be forced to take you into custody" he held your hand.
"How dare you touch our Queen with those dirty hands of yours! Those are unworthy!" The Egyptian leader said with full displeasure and anger in his eyes.
"Hey! I don't want to see cosplayers he-"
The cop suddenly stopped talking when a sword drove through his heart.
"LORD!" You screamed as he fell down, slowly dying. Not just that, the speed which the Egyptian warrior possessed was unbelievable.
"My Queen, I don't want to take you by force" he said standing up with blood dripping down his hand. "Don't hurt yourself. Just come with me back to Egypt!"
He said this without a spark of emotion in his eyes. The only thing you could see was respect and regard, devotion to his work, period.
"Wait, you didn't tell me your name" You said as he replied.
"Apologies my queen, I'm Shata and I would never let midnight pass before sending you back home. Back to Egypt."
"Okay?"
The awkward silence and the dead man made the scene more unbearable.
"So-"
"She ain't coming with you!" A familiar male voice said, followed by different gun shots.
'BANG'
A straight bullet went towards Shata who smoothly sliced through it.
"What? He destroyed it?!"
Immediately, a different bullet came flying towards the Egyptian warrior, Shata [A/N: You had entered the car long before this happened.]
Shata continued slicing through all the bullets when one escaped and went into his skull.
"Yes!"
It was Jim who shot at him all these while, without stop.
"Y/N, are you-"
"Just take me out of here" you said as the symbol glowed brighter.
"Yeah, let me get the car keys."
Jim was searching for the key when you suddenly screamed.
Looking up, he saw that Shata wasn't dead. The man was literally standing in front of the car, with bloody hands and the point where he got shot.
"What the heck?!"
"Give me back our Queen!" He screamed.
"Shut up!" Jim brought out the key. Starting the engine, he drove the car towards Shata who didn't move a muscle out of the way, instead, he brought out his bloody sword which had some parts cleaned by some rain droplets.
'SLASH'
The sword went through the car, slicing it into half.
"How!-" without being able to think, Jim pulled you to his side, jumping out of the car which exploded.
"Run Y/N! Run!" Jim told you as you both escaped from the 'Mad Egyptian warrior'.
