Adeline’s POV
We had a great time at the park until we heard a nasty rebuke from one of the workers.
“Get your filthy selves out of here!” My eyes widened at the harsh words of a stranger. I looked around, searching for where it had come from until I saw it. It wasn’t hard to find the source of the commotion however.
A crowd quickly began to form around a man and a small boy. On the opposing side of them stood what looked like an amusement park employee dressed in the familiar red sweater and purple vest. It was an ugly match, but what was even uglier were the words he spewed out next.
“The amusement park doesn’t cater to your type.”
What the h*ll did that mean?
“Maybe you should try and have better luck at the soup kitchens a few roads away?”
