Adeline’s POV
A loud laugh escaped me, and when people looked in my direction I quickly covered my mouth and burst into small giggles with the woman beside me.
“Dianne, that’s despicable!” I gasped, and the woman only rolled her eyes.
In front of me, Zale pretended to gag. “Please, can we change the topic to literally anything else besides my mother’s college conquests?”
Dianne only waved her hand at her son. The three of us had met up the next day, or well, Dianne and Zale had shown up outside of the building of my last lecture and all but demanded me to join them at the newest amusement park that had opened up.
Dianne had gotten some tickets from the owner, a friend of hers, the night prior at the business party. The older woman, I was quickly coming to learn, was more or less a child at heart.
