Adeline’s POV
The clinking of forks is the only sound throughout the rest of breakfast. However, I haven’t considered the awkward silence that encases us. My attention is too caught up with the light seeping through the open blinds.
The light that shone through the cascading curtains is something of a marvel in and of itself, the golden rays of the sunrise further enhanced by the red and orange curtains that hung from the floor to ceiling windows. That image is the very inspiration for the current expedition.
I make my way through the many long halls and turns of the mansion, using my senses to try and direct me in the proper way to go. I stick to the side of the house where the dining room is settled, trying to find more images along with the house as the same one I saw in the dining room.
