Intending to check his current capabilities Andrew brought out his status window. A list of categories and abilities appeared in front of Andrew.
However there was something off, the stats that he was given were nothing like the ones he had when he had first started before regressing.
Name: Andrew Bartholomew Meez
Race: Human
Titles: The Survivor, ???
Unique Ability: ??? ?? ????
DEX: E
STR: E
DEF: D(-)
INT: E(+)
WIL: E(+)
VIT: D(-)
Evaluation: E+
The stats that were displayed appalled Andrew. When he first became a Blessed before he was an F rank the lowest of the low, his overall evaluation was F(-) as well. For the first few years of his life after awakening and becoming Blessed, Andrew lived like a coward, scarred by his parent's death and his incapability to fight, it was only after he met someone that his situation began to change.
Looking back at his screen, Andrew remembered one of the notifications that previously appeared, [current access 5%]. Did that mean 5% of his original strength, he wasn't sure. If so that would make sense, however, it wouldn't have explained why he had a saved file.
As Andrew continued to look back through the screen in front of him he noticed the titles that were displayed.
The Survivor:
One who survived and defeated a foe much stronger than they are. When facing a stronger enemy, your DEF and VIT and rate of recovery will increase.
???:
As the ???????? ?? ??????, The one who ?????????, your growth is ????????? and your existence ?? ?????? ???? ??? ????. You can????? ??? ??????? ???? ?? ?????? ??????.
While he was unsure of the function and ability of the second title, Andrew smiled at the sight of "The Survivor" title. With such skill against stronger opponents, he would have a fighting chance. This skill despite its sparse description could be considered to be useful and highly sought after. This was especially true for tankers.
Tankers were people who would take on the role of protecting their teammates in a dungeon, they were characterized by their high defense and vitality. They can take hits and are proficient at aiding the flow of battle through crowd control techniques. If a tank in a guild were to have this ability they would be considered important and be granted a substantial amount of privileges.
With his current stats, Andrew could be mistaken for a low-rank tanker and could be considered as such for F to E-class dungeons.
Finally, Andrew notice his unique ability. A unique ability is an exclusive ability that many Blessed possess, each unique ability is inherently different and its effects can vary. They usually first appear when someone awakens, and no one had been found to possess more than one.
In his past life or before he regressed, he never had a unique ability. No, Andrew only had special skills that he was able to learn later on in his journey. The lack of a unique ability made it hard for Andrew to stand out in guilds, and with his low stats at the time, he was only able to live day by day.
Reading the description of his unique ability, Andrew was confused once more.
??? ?? ????:
You are able to see the golden ??????? ?? ????.
Unsure of how to decipher his ability, Andrew chose to close his status window.
Finally getting up Andrew looked down at his body. While he was hurt before in his fight with the frost wolf, after becoming a Blessed, he completely recovered. His left arm which had been mangled was now good as new and his muscles had grown more toned as well.
Taking a deep breath, Andrew exhaled and looked up at the sky. The sun still hung high overhead, its heat warming his body against the cold winds that blew through the forest. The smell of fresh dew that hung on the leaves of the trees still lingered in the air as noon came.
After stretching for a bit Andrew made his way over to the body of the Frost wolf, its massive size laid on the forest floor a couple feet away from him.
Walking over Andrew looked at the once ferocious beast and knelt next to it, after a moment of silence he began to start to search the dead frost wolf's body. Using his newly found strength Andrew tore through the body and flesh of the wolf.
After a couple of minutes, Andrew pulled out a shining light blue crystal the size of a fingertip. His eyes twinkled, he had found it a monster core. Monster cores are usually found in high-ranked monsters, they were highly rare and contained the essence or one of the abilities of the monster.
Even though the frost wolf was technically a low-rank frost wolf that mutated, the existence of the core despite how small it is, showed that if given time this frost wolf could have evolved to a high rank and had the potential to do so.
The core could be used to gain a skill or could be sold to others as well, even one this small had a minimum price of 2000000 on the market.
Andrew pocketed and kept the monster core, he grabbed all of his items and belongings as it was time for him to head back home and make plans for the future. Through completing his first step he finally can begin his journey in earnest.
Just as Andrew was about to leave, he noticed something small and almost imperceptible shining from the corpse of the frost wolf.
Concentrating Andrew found a golden string that seemed to connect to the frost wolf. His mind flashed back to the strings he saw on his child self in the void before regressing.
However these strings were slightly different despite their golden color, they appeared limp as if they had been cut. His curiosity peeked Andrew approached the corpse and reached out to touch the golden string.
In a moment his vision suddenly changed, as Andrew could see a golden glow growing from inside the frost wolf corpse. Even through the body, he could see a golden string that surrounded the heart of the wolf.
In less than a second the string seemed to come alive, like a snake slithering, it removed itself from the heart of the wolf and pulled itself through the body of the wolf.
As if obeying an unknown command it gently slithered and moved itself onto Andrew's hand, as it slowly lost its golden glow.
Suddenly, Andrew's eyes flashed pure gold, his vision shaking violently.
