Chapter 42 - Marry me

'Damn, blink. She just blinked us from there to here. It's most certainly that she would have killed me in a beat if we were to fight'.

"Damn girl, you good!" He said out loud with pure admiration on his face.

"Umm, thanks" she said with a slight blush".

He stared at her intensely before blurting out his thoughts immediately.

"Marry me".

"Huh," she looked at him wide eyed her face turning red as those closed to them gasped and directed their attention to the pair.

"Marry him " one said out loud.

"Please don't say no" another said.

"You can't tell me you are marrying HIM" another highlighted.

"Tsk, even a cripple got guts" another shouted from the back.

"He ain't even got a ring!" Someone scremed.

"He's so disrespectful, can't even get on a knee" Someone commented.

Silva turned and saw the crowd was becoming more intense as more folks began to talk and others who heard began to show up. She needed to get out of this, she doesn't like this much attention. Turning towards the source of the trobule, the one who started this stunt. He was smiling sheepishly like a goat that had sugar on its tongue.

'Ughh men' she groaned inwardly and balled up her fists. Right now she was thinking of her options, which were two. One was to blink them both out and the other was to gather courage, steel her nerves and say yes, but then decline it when they were together, alone. She didn't care if it would break his heart or not, that's what he deserves for pulling out stunts like this. I mean who fucking proposes during a first time meeting.

She decided to take action now, before it got late. Either one of the options had to be done.

But surprisingly, she found herself doing another thing which wasn't in her options. Damn, there was a third option she thought. 'Yeah there's always a third option Silva. The world doesn't just exist in black and white, there's also grey' The voice of her brother floated into her thoughts from her memories.

She turned behind him, held the handle of his chair, quickly but carefully rolled him away. He was caught by surprise as he looked back to glance at her pretty face which was flushed despite her trying her best not to look bothered by the scenario as everyone parted way for them.

"You know you are crazy in the head right?" She said with a pouting face upon catching him staring at her.

"And you would make a lovely wife" He replied with a wild grin.

"Don't say that" she quickly said before turning crimson.

Changing the topic he asked her as there were now less people around them.

"So how many have you got ? Only teleportation or something else added to your juicy steak of luck?"

She looked at him warily for a second before heaving her shoulders.

"Light magic".

"And you ?" She asked.

"Reading minds is all I know" He retorted with a charming smile.

He stared at her for a second or two. He wasn't really expecting her to say it. It was a normal code of conduct, only your family members, teammates and allies should have information on your abilities. You see, information holds the power of the world in its arms, alongside absolute strength. Unless a man had absolute strength, information can bring him down. So one giving away their abilities simply means that they either trust you or they were lying.

"You trust me that much "

He asked her as she fixed her hair, brushing out some locks that were covering her eyes. All around, people were staring at both of them. At her because of her mesmerising beauty and him, well you know the drill.

"No, I don't. But there's a level of trust that I have that keeps me around you" she replied with a charming smile. He didn't know if it was just him but her voice sounded cold just for a moment before getting warmer as her smile came.

For now he decided to push it to the back of his mind. It was time to look for his brother. 'Family first before them ho.....' coughs.

"Are you okay?" She asked with a slight worry on your face.

"Yeah, I'm good". He smiled at her before stretching out his hand.

"Allies?"

For a moment she stood there staring at his outstretched hand, contemplating if she accepts the offer or decline politely or maybe even rudely, to end it all. She wasn't here to make friends or allies, that wasn't her mission. The less people she interacted with, the higher her success rate for her task to be accomplished. So this cog in her wheel of planning was definitely not expected. If only she wasn't bored, she wouldn't have met him. She wouldn't have stood up to go check out why a crippled student laughing like a mad man was acting like that. And definitely he wouldn't be seeking her to be an ally. He was handsome and fun to be with. Its been a long time she had even spoken to someone, her mate.

Perharps that was why she even showed him her powers, the excitement to show him something exciting or interesting. How many years had it been, eight, nine, no ten years since I had smiled this good. No I would just accept him, I guess he can't do much just because he's a cripple, but he's smart and a Mentalist so where his body failed him, his brain wouldn't. He would be a good ally in the future if he was of a noble household, but otherwise, a good asset that my lord would be glad to have under him. Coming to a conclusion within her thoughts, she noticed as Hunter took back his hand and stared at it curiously, while also measuring it alongside his left hand to see if they are the same length or the right hand he just stretched was shorter.

She couldn't contain her laughter and started laughing. He looked up at her and smiled widely. "Looks like someone got zoned out" He said.

"Forgive me Hunter,". she said with a smile, this time stretching out her right hand to shake him.

"Allies" she said softly.

"Allies" He replied with a huge smile on his face..

'Fuck, God blessed women'.

He thought as he savored the feeling of holding her hands.

'Soft and smooth'.

[You touch just her hands and you yell fuck, just wait till you fondle her tits and lower rear].

Instinctively he jerked back as he heard a voice in his head. It was monotone in nature and he couldn't discern where it came from or who it was. She looked at him curiously and then around, but upon seeing nothing out of the ordinary apart from the students talking with one another and sharing pleasantries, nothing disturbing was there.

"Sorry" He said after a minute or two.

"Oh sure". She said, but there was still genuine worry on her face.

"I will be off to search for my brother, don't forget my proposal " He said while moving away.

"She blushed and gave a small wave at his moving figure, seated on his chair.

She watched as everyone instinctively gave way for him, like he was a king moving down his procession hall to his throne. Looking at their face, she could see both respect, disgust, anger and looks of ridicule casted upon him. But to her surprise he cared less, not even looking at them at all. He acted like he didn't give a fuck at all. 'I guess that's just who he was' she thought to herself before turning around and walking away.
