Out in the open, under the scorching hot sun and the land a replica of a desert with the sand stinging to the bare feet, refreshments in form of water and energy pills were been passed around to the students. Though at this moment, not all would be admitted, but their sponsor, the king felt they should all be treated well.
After ten minutes, which was a brief break for the students, a tall fair slender woman in a black suit trouser and a white blouse walked out of a teleportation circle. Gracefully walking, sahe glanced at them briefly before nodding her head. She was a thing of beauty as some men child were already drooling at her appearance. Lips painted purple that looked so soft and appealing, gave the word for the admission process to start.
"Now I will call your names in the form of letter, if you hear the letter assigned to you, please step forward and walk into this portal". she said, as she immediately pointed at her left where a portal stood there, shimmering under the rays of the sun. Almost instantly, letters appeared on the left palm of every one, numbering from A to Z. Sompe had theirs slashed across and others did not.
"If you have got a letter on your hand, either slashed or not, raise your hand up" she called out to the students. Her voice soft but reaching every one ears.
There was fifty two hands raised. As the other students who didn't have any looked bewildered.
It seemed their fear was coming forth to pass, as some quickly closed their eyes, muttering some form of words or perharps prayers. She saw their actions but cared less about it. Those to be admitted have already been decided upon, nothing would or could change it. Except the King himself, that's if he wanted to. But for now, he's bent on amusing himself which he has been doing all this while since they all walked into this premises, that's before the 'reach the administrative block' quest started.
"Now, all who have a number, step forward please. As you do so, form a single line and walk into the portal one after the other."
She paused and stared at their faces with a hardened expression before continuing.
"If you fail to comply by the rules, your admission would be revoked and given to another person. So before you do something stupid in your bid to go first, look back and see the show they are expectantly waiting for you to create".
Some folks visibly gulped, as those who had it in mind to rush towards the portal gate, immediately casted out the idea. Quickly everyone lined up and walked into the portal one at a time.
With fifty two gone after some minutes, a hundred and forty eight eligible spots remained. But there were five hundred students who took this tests. Everywhere was silent as no one knew who was going in next. Either through the glowing portal or back home.
"Hey Christie you aren't fun!"
The voice of a thin tall man with spiky hair said as he quietly stood at the back of the instructor.
"Teddy, get the fuck out of my back!" She whispered calmly, as her eyebrows began to arch up.
"Hehe" Teddy chuckled as he stepped out of her shadow amidst the gasps of the students who just saw a man appearing from behind their instructor.
'Where did that guy come from' Hunter thought as he began to look around. He didn't sense anyone, neither did he feel any disturbance in the air signifying that someone had arrived.
'Another powerful instructor huh'.
With a slump of her shoulders, Christie turned towards Teddy and squeezed her face just for a brief moment before speaking.
"Alright Teddy, what now.".
"That's my girl" He said as a wide smile formed on his face.
"Just sit back and enjoy the show my favourite" He said in a charismatic manner.
Moving ahead, his legs moved quickly as he got closer to the students.
"Hello Humans!"
His voice was loud enough for everyone to hear.
"With a hundred and forty eight slots left to go, and four hundred and forty eight of you been here, today's your lucky day."
With a slight pause, he cleared his throat and flashed a wide smile at the audience captivated by his last words.
'I got their attention now, everyone loves been lucky. I mean who doesn't ' he thought to himself as he chuckled lightly. Looking at his left corner without turning his head, he could see Christie standing some steps behind him staring at the students now and then.
"Today you all shall be privileged to watch my magic tricks. Sadly those that went first won't be able to see the beauty of this show".
Not everyone agreed with his line of words, but the students dared not voice out their opinion.
"In ten seconds from now, a hundred and forty eight of you shall join your colleagues, and the remaining shall go to their various homes and spread the good word, the message, the good will of my magic, Teddy Magic!"
He finish his speech with an euphoric ending as his arms were raised to the skies, while daring not to look at the sun.
Swiftly he did an impeccable bow before the audience.
Everyone was too dumbstruck to do anything as they stared at the man infront of them, not saying a word. Meanwhile, Christie just chuckled as she face palmed before shaking her head slightly, to and fro.
"umm, I think we should clap" Hunter said as he began to clap. Soon enough his action like a virus quickly spread as everyone joined in clapping. There was a sincere smile on Teddy face as he quickly shot Hunter a quick glance before looking at the center of the crowd.
After some minutes of basking in the praise and applauds, he raised his right hand up, and formed a fist. Immediately, everyone stopped as the arena returned to absolute decorum.
"Shall we begin". He said with the smile still on his face, he began.
With both hands raised up and fingers parted slightly from eachother, like a choir master in front of his members he began to move his hands and arms in a rhythm that no one could hear but only him. Soon enough the sounds of music drifted into the air as tiny rifts of black hole opened up and the melodious sounds of a classical music began to play.
"This is relaxing" Hunter softly spoke as he could see the other students drifting along, softly and gently with the rhythm.
'How I never knew of such pleasure in my previous life' he thought to himself as he continued to swim within the peaceful and soothing sounds while resting comfortably on his chair.
Seeing that the crowd had all melted within his arms and everyone's guard was let down, he turned towards Christie who looked at him almost Immediately. With a nod from her, he quickly turned around, facing the students with a wide smile on his face from ear to ear, he slowly muttered
"Music is bliss".
With a snap of his fingers of both hands, the classical music was immediately cut short and almost immediately, before the students could get their bearing, everyone started popping one after the other akin to a balloon getting bursted or a head been blown off.

The sounds rang out through the arena.
But the twist of it was that there was no remains of the person which just blew as the sound brought them out of their trance and those who yet to be blown looked around quickly and fearfully as the soundd of humans popping continued randomly till almost everyone was gone.
While all this was going on, his hands now folded behind his back, he looked on cheerfully at the marvelous scene.
"It never gets old he said to himself " as someone students who were yet to be popped tried to channel their power out, but ended up in utter failure as they looked on helplessly.
"Fuck you" the last guy said out loud before been popped into oblivion, or so he thought.
