A month had gone by and ever since Hayden and Hunter had that discussion of revenge, they have always been training. Most times individually, but sometimes they do train together and try to defeat their enemies before dying. Hunter stats was lower, so most times he was always the one to get killed first. But then they usually did some light sparring and on more than one occasion, Hayden had been impressed with Hunter fighting skills, especially with the use of dagger.
"Want to be an assasin" He asked as he swung his broadsword towards Hunter who quickly side stepped to the right and avoided it cleanly.
"Yeah, it's more interesting and fun, because they never see where its coming from" Hunter said as he quickly lunged forward with his dagger in his right hand while spinning another one in between his left fingers.
"CLANG"
They meet each other with force as Hayden smiled knowing fully well that his brother hadn't learnt the technique of using a dagger to stop a broadsword. But his smile quickly changed towards that of a surprise as Hunter pushed forward with his body towards Hayden alongside the second dagger holding the sword with the first but also pointed towards Hayden's face.
Hayden was pushed back some steps behind, though not much because of the difference in physique and strength, but enough for the dagger to prick his forehead as red liquid slowly dripped down.
"Good brother , good." Hayden let go of the physical contact and back flipped away from Hunter while landing on his left palm.
"Swoosh"
He reacted quickly as the dagger slammed itself against the broadsword and fell down unto the ground.
"Nice stance Hayden" Hunter laughed as Hayddn quickly joined in.
"Man I shouldn't underestimate you. You kicked it right ?". He asked.
With a nod, he walked towards Hayden.
"About the academy, you haven't given me any information about it" He asked as he picked up the sleek dagger from the floor and sheathed it in.
"Yeah, sorry about that Hunter, it skipped my mind. Each year consists of two semesters, that's six semesters in total before the one year drafting. And by the way, when we are ready, Ophelia would tell us more".
The door opened silently as a beautiful figure clad in a white kimono walked in.
Speaking of the devil, she walked in gracefully, a sword in her left hand and two bottles of water in the right. She threw it at her siblings who caught it immediately and gulped its contents quickly before saying their thanks.
With a nod, she acknowledged their gratitude before facing Hunter.
"Nice legs"
She softly said with a smile. A genuine smile that showed she really was happy that her younger brother could feel normal, just like them even if it was just for some hours.
"Thanks big sis". Hunter said with a slight smile after seeing her honest intention behind her smile.
"Hayden just told me you were going to inform us about the school stuffs".
"Anxious to learn huh ? Catch this ".
She beamed out two wristwatches from her space pocket. They both caught it and almost Immediately their face broke into huge smiles. Ophelia had a slight amusement on her face as she stared at her brothers expressions.
"Finally!"
They both exclaimed out loud, happy with the new gift.
"Thanks Sis Ophelia, I know we aren't supposed to be getting this until ....."
Almost Immediately Hayden expression changed as the realisation hit him.
"So when are we leaving for resumption ?" Hunter asked. Just like Hayden he caught unto the reason for her action. While he decided to voice out both of their next thoughts, Hayden was lost in his own world.
"In a week time. Gather all items necessary and everything you need". She said while focusing her attention now on Hayden, who was yet to say a word and was still absentminded.
There was silence and when he noticed he was the reason for it, he looked up to see both siblings staring at him.
"Spill it out brother " Hunter was the one to break the decorum.
"It's about our parents, for the past few months, we haven't heard anything from them." Hayden said with genuine worry on his face.
Ophelia sighed as her expression became darker.
"Seven months Hayden, seven. Both of you shower and meet me in the weapons room, I have got some news to tell. " They both nodded at her words and proceeded to leave as Hunter walked over to his chair and got seated comfortably before switching off A.L features.
"Bring Amelia along Hayden. If she's sleeping, wake her up and promise her some chocolate treats".
Hayden nodded in acknowledgement as they all left the training room.

[A month left before your death, cheers!]
Hunter mouth was left wide opened as he stared at the new notification concerning the ongoing mission.
"What the fuck" He cursed out loud. 'That's one crazy way of threatening someone after giving him a mission. I mean if this message wasn't attached to this mission, i would have thought the heavens had no use for me. I mean wasn't that how humans in my previous life usually die. When the heavens had no use for them, they are taken out of the playing field. That's why some do say that if it ain't your time, you won't die. He thought to himself.
'Though the crazy thing then was that, it wasn't the heavens who called everyone, we send some to them. I personally did'.
'Besides, what the fuck is cheers! ?'
