Otis stared at him and then his other self with a look of confusion.
"All knowing ? sorry, I think you are making a mistake. This eye which only I can see is my other self not the one the humans in my other world get hyperactive, anytime it was mentioned.
The being looked at him and smiled innocently, which was actually creepy, because of the nonexistent facial features apart from the mouth.
"Ohh, the one with the triangle" He laughed casually and seemed not interested in saying anything more about it.
"It seems he never told you the truth". he said after he was done laughing.
Otis stared at the being, then the eye.
"Anything you want to say buddy, now would be the best time to spit it out " .
"Alright, alright. This is the thing Otis, I don't want to be thrown back to earth to live my life as someone else. You know that case where someone dies and then another person is been reborn, who then happened to look like the other dead person".
"Something like Ozil and that other guy" Otis asked with a hint of doubt in his voice.
"Ozil the footballer, yeah, stuffs like that. That would be my own fate too. I would get thrown back on earth and be your lookalike. I don't want that man. After you died, I know you can't remember what happened because you were asleep while I was awake until then I decided to sleep and hoped to time my awaking with yours.
You lost your life and your soul got thrown into the void. I don't know how long but I could feel how long you were unconscious and just drifting across the void and I could tell it was a very long time. I don't want to have a soul cause that would mean reincarnation. I know I'm a consciousness tied to your soul but after learning about the universe while you were asleep, I want to experience another life all together, one filled with magic and super powers. Like the ones humans of your time do create with imagination, unknown to them that it was memories of their past lives. I mean alongside you, if you are interested".
"Okay, that's a new one". Otis said quietly.
"You not going to get angry or something ?" the floating eye asked as it twirled around Otis while smiling through his one big golden eye.
"Nope, ain't going to throw tantrums or something. I'm no kid, besides if you say we are going to a new world with magic and super powers, who am I to refuse that. Also it seems when you were alone, you did sone deep shit thinking which though crazy but nice. A little theory always spices up life whether true or not".
"Yeah!" it screamed with delight.
"You guys done with the heart sharing moment?" the glowing humanoid being asked.
Otis nodded quickly.
Pausing for a brief moment he continued.
"I guess he has told you everything right". he asked to which Otis nodded again in a positive confirmation.
"Alright then, with no further ado. There's a mission for you".
"A mission?" He asked.
"Yes, a mission. It's not really a tedious one, just very simple. But first let me list out the rewards.
The rewards are three wishes, you get to have three wishes, each with a significant draw backs. I ain't no djinn. Besides there are many who are betting on you to give them a good show, so don't disappoint".
"Many ? bet ? something like a pool game with stakes or something?" He asked, at which the being slowly nodded in affirmation.
"Three wishes, so what would it be ?"
"Mhmm. can I keep them and use all later in life, like when I have already been reincarnated".
"Of course you can but then the power vested upon you won't be as great as here". He smiled creepily and then continued.
"In what ever life you are, it would be an anointing but in here, it would be a blessing".
Otis thought for a moment with the eye.
"Alright then. I wish for the this big ball of eye to accompany me". He replied.
The seven ft figure calmly nodded his head and said nothing.
Quickly, Otis continued.
"I wish for the strongest power".
He nodded again and said nothing.
Still thinking, Otis rubbed his bald head for a moment before saying that was all.
"Alright then, if that's all, ye shall have what ye seek. For the Lord is a generous one".
A blessing of light engulfed Otis for a moment before disappearing.
"That's all ?" He asked, feeling light headed and looked around, not seeing the big eye ball again.
"Where did it go?" He muttered sheepishly.
"In here cow brain" He was scolded by the voice in his head.
"Fuck you cow tongue!" Otis retorted.
"Aheem"
The figure before them interrupted their bickering.
"Now for the mission you need to carry out. Like I said earlier, it's very simple and an easy one."
"Sorry, why do I feel like it's very hard with the recent reptiles you have been making. Besides, what if I say I'm not doing it ?" Otis interrupted quickly.
A soft laugh lightened the atmosphere as the being stared at him, with a grin, he quietly said:
"Not a threat, but you don't want to find out".
He felt his body stiffened. The hairs tingling as he felt the gaze of a predator on him not near but afar. If he could swear, he had been sweating buckets now.
"Sure, sure whatever you say pal. Even me I'm less curious in finding out than you do" Otis answered with a light laugh.
"Good, good". With a deep but clear voice he continued.
"The mission is the book of laws, find it and your task will be over. Your rewards for completing the task would also be three wishes. Three upfront and three after completion, a total of six. But then you have one outstanding.
Till when next you would want to use it, never forget that you can use it anytime. Now go give us a show what our time and dime".
He smiled before levitating in the air. Slowly he began to reduce in height and size, while growing curves at all angles. He was turning into a ball of light back.
"Hey about the draw backs of the wishes, you never said anything" Otis shouted as the illuminating ball of light became smaller than than before.
"Yes, ahh my bad. The there wishes you get after the job has no drawback. In short no wish has no draw back, but a certain nutcase suggested we make the first three have draw backs cause he feels that you wouldn't be able to accomplish your task. So the good thing is that your buddy, that's the glowing eyes becomes a system for you, which would really help you in your journey and you have a shape shifting power which is one of a kind". He paused for a moment as he got smaller, now the size of a tennis ball.
Otis visibly jubilated as he pumped his fist, a system alongside a shape shifting power, though he knew not what it would really be about, but he felt since it was a blessing, it ought to be fantastic. Now this was op he thought to himself.
Quickly he continued as he was almost disappearing.
"Now for the bad news, the draw backs are as follows. Your system would be inactivated when you are reincarnated, and thus you would need to find out how you can get it work or should I say wake up since it has a conscience. And lastly, the shell you shall possess would be crippled."
Immediately he disappeared after saying the last words.
"Mother fucker! " Both Otis and his system cursed in sync as they began to break into pieces of light fragments.
