But what surprised me the most was that she wore a black skintight outfit that only covered her unnaturally large chest with two triangles for a neckline; that was more of a waistline that barely covered her nipples. Each of her breasts were at least the size of her head and I instantly felt uncomfortable.
She gave us a deceitful smile as she sat with her legs crossed and slid her gloved hands to the edge of the armrests of her chair. "I've been expecting you." May gave her a questioning look. "You knew we were coming?" The witch nodded and her smile drifted into annoyance. "When you're made part of a quest that bastard Theodius set up, it becomes part of your schedule to check if anyone's coming for your spell book that day. For years I thought no one would pass the first test, at least until I found out about you. I'll warn you now, I won't go down as easily as Medusa did."
I drew my sword as I held eye contact with her. "Yes. You will." There was a moment of silence where the witch and I glared at each other, and I stood on guard getting ready to attack. May then quickly interrupted the tension with nervousness in her voice. "W-Wait! We don't have to fight! Can't we come to an agreement or make a deal or something?" Both me and the witch answered her in unison. "NO!"
The witch then acknowledged May's existence with an unamused look. "What's the prince of Reinthoria doing traveling with a flat-chested tart such as this one?" May looked as if she didn't know how to process her comment for a second before gasping. "Hey!" I hesitated then turned to look at May's chest curiously. 'Flat-chested? Sure they're nowhere near as big as hers, but I wouldn't say that they're flat. They're actually quite perky.' May noticed that I was staring at her chest and quickly covered herself with her arms while blush came to her face. "Dedrin!!" I blinked and was brought back into the moment. "What?"
The witch stood up from her chair suddenly and a large leather book appeared in the air next to her. It was lined with gold and had ancient markings and emeralds engraved all along the cover. She gestured to it as she smirked. "Enough of this. Take a good long look. Because this is the last you'll see of my book and the last thing you'll ever see!" She then snapped her fingers and two trap doors opened below us. I fell into a dark tunnel before I could think, gasping as I felt the ground disappear from under me. "Ah!"
May stayed in place, however, for she had been flying a few inches from the ground when the trap door opened. She and the witch looked at each other blankly for a second before the witch's expression became mild irritation. "God dang it."
I slid down the dark slide, trying to think of a way to get out of trouble before it was too late. I panicked once I saw a light at the end of it and tried to stop myself from falling. I quickly turned to slide on my stomach as I stabbed my sword into the stone. My sword caught in the tunnel and the hilt hit the top right as I fell out. I barely held my grip as the jolt of my body weight made the sword shift slightly from its original position.
I was relieved that my plan worked and caught my breath as I pulled myself back into the tunnel. The slide was diagonal so I couldn't let go of my sword without falling, and I turned to look where it was intending on dropping me as I adjusted my grip. My eyes widened as I saw a large pool of water below me with at least ten alligators jumping out of the water and snapping their monstrous jaws. I turned back to my sword and sighed. "Well, perfect."
I looked around while trying to think of what to do. I couldn't climb back up the tunnel since it was too smooth and if I slipped again that would be the end of me. I most definitely couldn't try to fall and land away from the pool since it was too far a drop, and even if it did work, the alligators could just climb out of the pool and devour me. I continued to rack my brain until I saw that there was a small ledge lining the wall that I might be able to balance against long enough to reach the stairs across the room.
I saw it as my only option and slowly moved my body lower and touched my foot to it until I had a good balance. I then placed my other foot on it and took one of my hands off the hilt of my sword to grab a brick in the wall that was sticking out slightly more than the others. 'Okay, just don't die.' I thought as I carefully wiggled my sword so it would come out from the tunnel. I wiggled it harder when it wouldn't dislodge and it unexpectedly came free fast. Thankfully I had a good enough grip on the brick so the pull back made me swing around and hit my back against the wall instead of falling to my doom.
I stopped breathing as I pressed my back further to the brick and looked down at the alligators as I slowly inched my way along the thin ledge that was only half the size of my feet. I continued until I somehow managed to reach the end of it alive. From where I was now, the exit was right below me and all I had to do was jump down and bolt up the stairs.
I took another breath and my expression became determined as I jumped down and onto the stone below me. The alligators climbed out of the pool, lunging towards me once they saw me, and I ran as fast as I could up the stairs. As soon as I reached the open door at the top, I slammed it shut once I was out and continued to run down the hallway.

May continued to fly around the main room, dodging the witch's attacks. She shot beams of magic, each one a different color than the last, and created a different effect once they hit the wall after May dodged. May moved out of the way from an ice attack quickly and tried reasoning with her. "Why don't we talk about this over cookies? I'm sure we can reach a compromise and have this end in friendship!"
The witch shouted back as she shot a beam of fire at her. "Why are you so nice?!! Just hold still and let me kill you!" Once again May was fast enough to move out of the way, but the witch shot a pink beam of ooze right after. May screamed as she smacked into the wall with a splat, and the jelly engulfed her body inside it. She tried to struggle as the transparent pink substance started to form around her head. "Ah! Oh my gods, this is exactly how I imagined how I would die!"
