The corners of my lips rose. I looked at the sea in front. The sun is already very close to setting.
"I'm still adjusting, you know. I guess I will be fine eventually."

I looked down on my glass of juice and remembered the face of my dad. I'm used to seeing him everyday no matter how small our interactions were. But now, we just call each other and very seldomly. I know it's my decision and I should be responsible for it, but I just can't help but feel a little sad.
In the middle of our talk, Jaxon's phone rang. He excused himself for a bit to answer the call. When he came back, there was a worried look on his face.
"Why? Is there something wrong?" I asked.
"Something came up. Dad is nearby, he got his truck flat and he wants me to help. Can you stay here for a bit? I will be be back very soon."
