Chapter 6 - ch:6 Eddie Munson is Hot

To start off, I would like to say, I added teachers that were mentioned in the show. :) I'm proud. Anyways, I have no idea when Eddie's birthday is, BUT according to how the timeline is and the year skip I created, HE SHOULD BE 22. Stop being old, Eddie. I got a notification that my book is going on fresh reads! I'm so excited!

After you eat your waffles, Eddie walks into his room. You were about to leave and he came out saying, "You forgot these." He hands you your posters and say, "Oh, I completely forgot." You both walk outside, and he asks you if you need a ride. "Maybe, I'll check with Max." Eddie walks you over. You walk inside and Max hands you a backpack, "I had a spare." "Ok, I'll be right back." You set the posters in your room and grab your schedule and some papers. You shove the papers in your backpack and see Eddie and Max chatting.

Max give you this eye and then hold out her pinky and thumb tipping her thumb to her mouth. You knew she meant her mom was drinking. "Yes, Eddie, we need a ride." Eddie is shook. "How the fuck you get that... from... what?" "Never mind," Max pushed Eddie out the door, "we're gonna be late." Eddie opens your door. "Malady," he gestures inside and shuts the door. He helps Max in. "So Robin and Nancy are going to meet you at the-" "Wait a minute," you count on your fingers, "I'm a year younger than them, shouldn't they be graduated?" Eddie looks at Max. "Actually," Max scratched her neck, "since all that Vecna shit, no one graduated." "That's stupid!" you shout. "I know," Eddie rolls his eyes and pulls out if the park. The car ride was pretty quiet, Eddie turned up the radio cause he could tell you were getting tense. You just kinda hummed. Eddie just smiled at you. "Cute," you muttered, making fun of what he said this morning. He shoved you, "oh shut up." You could feel Max's eyes. He pulled into the parking lot. "I wasn't wrong." He laughed. "Well neither was I," you looked away, causing him to pause what he was doing. "Ok, ok," Max pushed you, "Stop flirting and let me out." Eddie opened your door, again. As Max got out she groaned, "Your driving makes me sick." You giggled.

When Nancy saw you, she greeted you with a hug. "Wow," she smiled, "You're all grown!" You laugh and Eddie and Robin kinda just stare at each other. "So what's your classes?" "Uhm," you think, "well, I have Ms. O'Donnell for English and then Chemistry with Kaminsky-" "Oh my gosh," she smiles, "I had him in Sophomore year, his tests are close to impossible." Eddie butted in, "you got that right." "If you need help studying, you know where to find me." "Okay," you say rushed, "I've got to go." Eddie looks to you and pulls you into the school. He takes a deep breath and says, "god, I really hate it here." You laugh. Ms. O'Donnell let you sit next to Eddie. In fact, all your teachers did.

Eddie probably wouldn't have passed, so he wouldn't have graduated regardless. "Eddie," you whisper. He was too busy doodling in his journal. He drew little people, you weren't sure what he was writing, but you thought it was cute. You threw a piece of paper at him, he jumped a little. "Hm?" he says quietly. "Pay attention." "Shit, sorry." he quickly closed his journal, not quite focused, cause now he was staring at you. He tapped his fingers on the desk lightly. You grab his hand and it seems to calm him down. He wiggles his hand around, but you ignore it. You feel something cold slide onto your middle finger. You look down. He scribbles on a piece of paper, "My smallest ring." You smile.

Kaminsky's class was next. "Eddie," you say to him, "I'm gonna pass this class." "Good luck," he chuckles. "You are, too." "Have fun with that." You sat down next to Eddie. "Chemistry." he says in a singsongy way. As class starts, you decide to take notes. Chemistry is usually your weakest subject anyways. "How many times did you redo senior year?" "Third times the charm." He whispered. "Damn," you "mathed". "So you're like 21?" "Yep," he smiles, "22 on April 1." "On April fools!" You say a bit loud and he shushes you. "So, you're a joke." You giggle. "Shut up," he smiles. He actually begins taking notes, or what you think is notes.

The day slowly passes and it's lunchtime. Eddie takes you into the cafeteria and you sit in line for food. Eddie looks kind of angry, you didn't know what the problem is. A guy was looking at you. You swear you knew who it was, but you couldn't put your finger on it. He licked his lips "Gross," you thought. Eddie notice you felt unsettled and shot the guy a look. Why did you feel so safe around him?

Eddie brings you over to a table with a bunch of people with the same "Hellfire" t-shirt as Eddie. "This is Ellie." "ELLIE?" Dustin and Mike said in sync. "I didn't expect you back after your dad took you out." "Ya, uh, something happened with my dad," people started staring at Mike and Dustin's sudden outbreak, "and uh my mom kicked me out." Eddie saw that you started to shake. "Get up," he pointed to the guy who was sitting next to Dustin, "let Ellie sit here." You just smiled, "thank you." Eddie told you who everyone was and sat down. The boys started chatting, "so Hellfire club." "It's Dnd." Mike shouted. "Aww," you cooed, "I remember when you made me play with your group...before Will went missing." "You were awful," Dustin smiled. "Hey," you put your hands up in defense, "I'd only played it like twice!" You laugh. "You know what pisses me off?" Everyone looks at Eddie. "We're the freaks because we like to play a fantasy game!" "Something else is on his nerves," Dustin whispers in your ear. "But," he gets up onto the table, "as long as you're into band or science..." he sneers toward each of the cliche groups. He slowly walks down to the end of the table. "...or parties," he says in a singsongy way, "or a game where you toss balls into laundry baskets." He specifically aims towards the basketball table. "Loser!" someone shouts. "You want something freak?" the same guy who stared at you earlier said. "Jason!" you said to yourself, "that was his name!" Eddie put up both of his hands to made devil horns and stuck out his tongue. He made this funky growl noise. Jason started walking over to the table. "I actually got a question for you." "Ask away." Eddie says playfully. "Are you dating Ellie?" he smirked. Eddie paused, "no...why?" "Cause, she's hot as fuck." Jason shot you a wink. "You better back the fuck up before you get smacked the fuck up." "Let the woman talk, Eddie." "You know, Jason," you say getting on top of the table, walking over to where Jason and Eddie were, "I liked you better when you kept your dick in your pants." He looked kind of offended and stormed off saying, "prick." You and Eddie sit down. "So, uh, Eddie?" Mike says, "Lucas won't be able to make it." "And why not?" "Because of his 'balls in laundry baskets' game." "Could we maybe... postpone." The whole group starts arguing. "POSTPONE?" Gareth says. "Over my dead body!" "SHUT UP!" Eddie shouts. You jump. "You saying Sinclair's been taken in by the dark side?" You smile. "Uh," Dustin says, "something like that?" "Something like that?" Eddie throws a piece of food at him, and you laugh. "Jesus Christ." Dustin says. "And rather than find a sub for him, you want... you want to postpone 'The Cult of Vecna'?" "I...I don't want to postpone it. We don't want to postpone it." Mike says. "It's just that, you know, most of the subs will be at the championship game." "Oh, it's the championship game?" Eddie stands up. "Yeah?" Mike says unsure.

"Can I level with you?" Eddie says. "Jeff graduates this year. Gareth's got, what? A year and a half? Me, I am army-crawling my way toward a D in Ms. O'Donnell's. If I don't blow her final, I'm gonna walk that stage this May, I'm gonna look Principal Higgins dead in the eye, I'm gonna flip him the bird, I'm gonna snatch that diploma. I'm gonna run like hell outta here." Dustin laughs. "Didn't you say that last year?" Gareth asks. "And the year before?" Jeff smiles. "Yeah, yeah, and I was full of shit." he says playfully, "This year's different. This year is my year. I can feel it. '87, baby." Eddie had a different tone when he talked to the kids. He was by no means nice, but it was in a way that made him fun to be around. "This gives me deja vu." Dustin and Mike nods. "You said that same exact thing last year." "Well," you say unsure, "I could sub." Eddie looked at you. The whole group was silent, waiting for Eddie's approval. "We do need a sub..." Eddie said, "and it's not like I don't know you. It'll work." The group looked relieved. "Sweet," you said, "I'm going to need a refresher, though." "Wednesday, theatre room."

Eddie eventually walked you over to P.E.. You change into your uniform, and they announced you where going to play dodgeball. Today couldn't get more awful. It's not that you sucked at dodgeball, it's that you were the target. Jason was a little heated still and he got the whole team against you. When the period was close to over, you went to get water from the water fountain outside. You hear footsteps and see a familiar pair of shoes. You wipe your mouth, "Eddie?" He had his backpack on and leaned against the wall next to you. "Cute outfit." He points to you. You laugh and say, "can't wait to see you in yours." "Yeah, that's not happening." You have a little laugh, "why are you here early?" "I was getting bored, so I asked to pick you up early." "Ok," you say, "I'll get changed." When you come back in with your backpack, Eddie was talking to a girl.

"Eddie," the girl whined, "I really need a refill." "I have things to do," he begins to turn. "I'll tell them," she whispers. "Fine," he gives in, "I'll grab my stuff, meet me at the table." The girl then leaves and you walk up to Eddie. "What the hell was that?" You ask. "I'll tell you later, ok." he grabs your shoulders, "meet me at the van with Max." "Ok," you say. He hands you the keys, "keep warm in the van." You and Eddie walk to the van. He grabs a metal lunchbox and walks into the forest, "I'll be back!" he yells. A few minutes later, the bell rings.

Max walks up to you, "how the hell did you get here so fast?" "Eddie got me out," you say, scanning the tree line. You wait for 10 minutes in silence and nothing happens. Most of the cars in the parking lot were gone and you started getting cold.

"So," Max says leaning on the van, "What's going on with you and Eddie?" "Nothing," you groan standing in front of her, not looking for Eddie anymore. "It doesn't look like that." "Well, what do you want me to say?" "How you feel." Max says almost serious. "Fine!" you shout, "Eddie Munson is hot! He is so very hot! There is nothing I can do about it, cause why would he like...me." You look down. "Well we're about to find out, turn around." Of course, Eddie was standing behind you. "Do you mind saying that again?" he smiles. You just stare at him. "Come on, say it louder." You look down. He gets closer to you. "Sweetheart, look at me." He pulls up your chin with his finger. "I'm sorry, I-I..." He tilts his head, waiting for you to finish your sentence. "Ok," you say, "I find you very attractive." He just looks at you and smiles with his dimples showing. You blush and cover your face with your hair, "don't look at me like that." "I find you hot, too." He pushes the hair out of your face. "Fuck," you say to yourself, "I fell." "Hm?" he says. "Nothing." Eddie looks to Max, "sorry about that." He opens the door for Max and then you. You wait for him because you know he loves doing it.

The ride back was quiet with faint music playing in the background. Max and Eddie were both looking at you. You didn't know what to do, you met this guy not even 3 days ago, and you're already falling relentlessly and undeniably in love with him. You are almost mad at yourself. You've never had love last, and you don't want to lose a man like this. "Well," Max says uncomfortably, "Nancy wanted to invite you to a girls night to welcome you back. It would be me, you, Nancy and Robin." You turned around, "I would like that." "Sweet," Max said turning to Eddie, "do you mind dropping us off at the family video in an hour?" "No problem," he says. "Ellie, would you come over real quick?" Max is giving you, 'GO' eyes and you say yes. Eddie pulls up to his house and Max takes both of your backpacks to her house and you follow Eddie to his room. Something clicks in Eddie's mind and all of the sudden, he seems shy.

You lay down on Eddie's bed and you just kinda stare at him. "What?" he asks. "Oh, nothing..." you say unsure, "just thinking." "Bout what?" he says hovering over the bed. "Someone that I like." you say smiling. "Oh," he says shocked, "is that so?" You nod, "he has long hair and brown eyes. I don't know much about him, but I know he's the one." You sit up, till you are face to face. He pauses for a long time, "and what were you doing." "Guess we'll have to figure that out." He gently kisses you, bringing instant butterflies. You kiss him back. His cold rings are on your jawline and his fingers are wrapped around your neck. He pulls away. "I'm sorry, that's a little forward, and we only met three days ago and-" You cut him off by kissing him. He grins into the kiss. When you pull back you say, "ya, but I don't really care." He pushes you down while kissing you. You wrap your arms around his neck. He pulls away after a minute, leaving you almost empty. "Ellie," he says panting, "I've been waiting to do that since I met you." He gets off from on top of you.

"You never did tell me what that girl wanted." "Were you jealous?" he smirks at you. "Maybe," you blush, "that doesn't answer my question." "I'm basically the local drug dealer, but my buddy Rick is the supplier, he's still in jail though." He grabs his metal lunchbox and shows you.

Before you knew it, you were both on the floor smoking weed and making out. Eddie had music playing. Eddie always smelled like smoke and leather. You loved it. Eddie pulled you on his lap. You heard tapping on the window. Max was peering in. "Shit!" You say looking at Eddie, "I totally forgot!" Eddie got up and pulled you with him. "Shit, do I smell funny?" you ask him. He sniffed your shirt, "smell fine to me." "I'm gonna change first." Max looks pissed, "what the fuck took so long?" "Sorry," you say, "call Robin and say we're running late." You go inside and Eddie follows you, luckily Max's mom wasn't home. You grab some clothes and head into the bathroom to change. You spray perfume on you just to be sure. You felt a little distant, like you're trapped in your mind. All you could think about was Eddie. You felt really happy. When you came out, Eddie was waiting on your bed. "Hurry," you say rushed, "we've got to go." Max is leaning on the van when you come out. "Nancy is running late, too." Max says almost angry.

Eddie opens your door and you sit and you hold his right hand. He picks your hand up and kisses it. "So-" Max starts. "Don't you dare." you interrupt. Eddie laughs. You started humming 'I Was Made for Lovin' You' cause it had been stuck in your head. As you pull into the Family Video, Eddie says, "I'm going to grab a movie while I'm there." Eddie opens your door and lets Max out of the back. You all walk in and Robin and Steve are at the counter. "Hey Ellie!" Steve cheers. You didn't know robin that well, but from the looks of her you knew you would be friends. Eddie walks around for a bit, and then Nancy showed up. "Hey!" She shouts, "we gotta go the movie starts in 15 minutes!" Robin rushes out. "See ya later, Steve!" Max pulls you out and Eddie says, "bye sweetheart." "What are we watching?" you ask once you got in the car. "The Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors!" "Cool," you say. Max is sitting next to you smiling. You feel kind of... well high. It all kicked in. "Ellie you good?" Robin asked. No response. You started humming again. "Ellie?" Nancy asked. Max hit you on the shoulder. "Hm?" they were all staring at you. "Are you just ignoring us...or," Nancy tried to understand. "Ignoring?" you say. "Is she ok?" Robin asked looking at Max. Max sighs. Nancy pulls up to the theater. "Her eyes are kinda red." Robin says worried. Your body felt very relaxed, and you felt like you had clarity. Colors got brighter, and it made you happy. The sound of the engine was way louder. You got out of the car along with everyone else. "Wow," you said, "I love this!" Max looked at you. "What?" "I feel like I'm flying." Robin and Nancy just stared at you. Once you get inside, you all have a blast. The movie was pretty good, but you had a hard time focusing. The movie felt like it was 4 hours long for some reason. Robin leaned over to you, "are you ok? Your reaction time is like insanely slow. You jumped like 10 seconds after the jump-scare." "You smell weird." Max says. "Could you guys leave me alone?" you ask annoyed.

When the movie ended, you all went to an ice cream shop. "Well, how was your first day, Ellie?" Nancy said. "It was pretty good, but Jason was being an asshole." "Doesn't surprise me." Robin says laughing. "Why don't you tell them what happened after school?" Max nudged you. "Do you want all of the details or a summary?" you said. "Oh, so it's long," Robin smirked. "DETAILS!" Nancy giggled. "Well," your start, "after school Eddie went to do a deal with a girl. I was arguing with Max and she told me to tell her how I really felt about him. I said that he was hot and he would never like me. He was right behind me the whole time, and he asked me to repeat what I said." "Damn," Robin said. Max shushed her. "We went back to his place, and I started telling him about the boy I liked. He asked what they were doing, and I said I guess we'll see." Nancy covered her mouth. "Well, uh, we made out and then smoked some weed." "Damn!" Robin said. "So that's why you're so crazy right now." Nancy said finally understanding. "You're high." Max finished her sentence. "And it feels really fucking good!" you shout. They all laugh and you get a second ice cream. "I'm getting tired," Max says, "can we go home?" The group agreed and headed to the car. "So you and Eddie Munson?" Nancy says still shocked. You just smile. "You know he's called the freak." Max says. "I'm surprised he's doing well after Chrissy." Robin says concerned. "Chrissy?" you ask. "She doesn't know yet," Nancy whispered. "Eddie told me not to tell her yet because she's still settling in."

Once you get home, you were downright exhausted. "Goodnight," Max said heading to her room. You laid in bed staring at your ring and 'Munson' bracelet. You fell into a deep sleep.

I spent my whole day writing and rewriting this. I hope you're satisfied! My search history is hanging by a thread. I'm not really happy about how fast Eddie and Ellie got together but it was hard coming up with content without having chemistry, so.
