It was Mid noon and the whole residence was quiet, Liam was home because he had no where to go or keep himself busy yet. He had called Zeke earlier to come keep him company and right now Zeke was presently sitting with him in his room.
"Your room doesn't look neat?." Zeke said with raised brows, glancing around with surprise.
Yet nothing was heard from Liam.
"You are comfortable here?" Zeke asked again, because this was shocking. He wondered if it was because Liam now had a personal maid, so doing his own things did not matter to him anymore.
The Liam he knows, always made sure that even if the maids didn't arrive on time he will gets his things clean and done, or else he will not be comfortable and anytime he doesn't feel like it, he goes for a walk and by the time he returns everything will be set.
"Errm, you wanna go somewhere?" Zeke offered because it was scaring him seriously. It was Mid noon and he was still inside this messy room. Strange!.
"I don't feel like." Liam plainly replied shocking the already shocked Zeke.
"What the....?" Zeke halted his curse halfway. He cleared his throat. Okay now this is getting weird. He did nothing but just stare confusedly at Liam who was seated in his king like posture while reading a book, he was as calm as ever.
"Okay, will you like some refreshments or something? I can send someone to bring it in for us." Zeke asked again.
"If you want it send for it, I'm not interested." Liam replied.
"Okay then, don't tell me you want some later." Zeke said to him.
Liam responded to him with pure silence.
Zeke twitched his lips before making way to stand up, and then he halted. "Why don't you call Ermmm what's her name? Vionna, Yeah Vionna. She is your maid right?"
"She is my maid not yours, so go get what you want yourself." Liam responded with his eyes still glued to what he was reading, it was like Zeke was not the one he was referring to just now.
"Wow! Fine then." Zeke grunted before he strode out completely.
. . .
Vionna was in the kitchen, helping them out with one thing or the other. Earlier when she made her presence in the kitchen, they were all against it because they all thought she was not feeling well.
Vionna was tongue tied, unexpectedly she had been trapped in her own web. She gave them a weird smile while her brain was hastenedly cooking up something to counter her previous words. "I am Okay, I have gotten better see!" She said while spinning round to show them that she's perfectly healthy.
"No you are not, now go back to your room Vionna." Mia said with authority.
Vionna frown slightly, She puffed her cheeks and pouted her lips sadly. "But...but... It was just a Minor headache and after Tania gave me breakfast and some drugs, I instantly felt better. You can asked her if you think I'm lying to you." She mumbled and whimpered like a sad child proving her innocence.
Tania nodded immediately Mia casted a questioning gaze to her.
After getting Tania's affirmation, that was when Vionna was allowed to join them in the kitchen, though she was restricted from doing certain things that were stressful.
Vionna stood awkwardly listening to the instructions Mia and Gwen were busy spouting to her. And after they all resumed their task while chatting and making fun if each other.
Zeke came in and met this scene, at this point Tania was the centre of their attention. They were all playfully mocking her about how her pupils dilate when she gets scared or nervous and about her sweaty hands and her habit of stammering when she is caught off guard or caught doing something that she is not meant to be doing.
They were all telling this to Vionna.
Tania had a playfully vexed Expression as she listened to them blabbing on about her.
Zeke cleared his throat, announcing his presence to them, cutting them short of their blissful time together.
"Good Afternoon, Young Master Lan." They greeted in unison. Except Tania who was actually surprised to see him here—In the kitchen, so her greetings came a little late.
"Young Master Lan, do you need something?" Mia asked with her head bowed a little.
"No need, I will just grab it myself." He responded as he strode towards the direction of the refrigerator.
Tania stuck her gaze to the ground, refusing to look up. His footsteps were slowly approaching and she felt his every step closer, was in rhythm with her beating heart.
