At the Mo residence,
A car could be heard driving into the garage through the drive way. Excitedly, Stephanie rushed out. She stood outside at the threshold of the entrance door.
The harsh wind made contact with her skin as it came blowing roughly. Her smile was wide as she awaited her father to alight.
And the moment he did, she rushed towards him not waiting for him to fully reach the front.
"Princess." Davis Mo chuckled as he held her in his arms, relishing in the welcoming daughterly hug his loving first princess offered. His daughters were everything to him. He wasn't blessed with a son but the double bundle of joy he got gave him content.
"Welcome Dad!" Stephanie greeted after she was released from the tight hug.
"Thank you princess, where is your sister dear?" Davis asked after Naomi, his last daughter.
"She's not home yet Dad, neither is Mom."
"And why is that? This is pass nine o'clock and she's not at home? I thought I warned you girls about staying out late." Davis said with unpleasancy written all over his face as he checked the time on his expensive Rolex watch.
"Don't worry about her Dad, she's old enough alright. Now come in! I have prepared something delicious for my darling father." Stephanie defended Naomi. She pulled Davis in excitedly.
"Wow! can't wait to have a taste. Ohh and I have good news to share with you princess." Davis muttered forgetting the earlier matter as the walked into the mansion.
"Really Dad!" Stephanie said almost squealing, she already had a guess about what this Good news is about, and if her guess is affirmed correct, then! she will really be the happiest girl on planet earth.
By the time they reached the dinning hall, the dishes were well laid and spread out on the table, releasing an enticing aroma so attractive and worth salivation.
"Wow!!! My daughter made a mini feast for me huh?" Davis Mo said chuckling loudly.
Normally he is not a vocal Man but when it comes to his beautiful princesses, that character completely goes down the drain, like it was never there.
He smiled then took a seat. Stephanie served him the meal.
She was eager and itching to hear what her father have to tell her but she had to calm down and not be in a hurry. Who knows if it is a negative news, her doubts began to kick in.
In the middle of serving the food, the click clack of heels was heard approaching, catching their attention.
Behold it was Sara Mo, and Naomi right behind her.
"Mom." Stephanie rushed over and hugged her mother, after she pull away she hugged Naomi too and gave a small pat on her head.
"Dad!" Naomi strode over the direction of Davis and gave him a hug while he was sitting.
"Why were you out so late?" Davis questioned, going back to strict mode.
"Uhhh Dad! you didn't even ask how I am, you just want to go ahead and scold me. I'm not happy." Naomi whined while still in hold of Davis.
Sara and Stephanie could only giggle at the last born throwing a mini tantrum. Sara walked over to them and pulled Naomi out. She chuckled before hugging her husband and placing a peck on his cheek.
"Don't mind her honey, we were at a party thrown by the Li's. They offered an invite so I had to take her with me since she was less busy and Stephanie was out shopping with her friends." Sara Mo explained to Davis as she walked and took her seat, ready for dinner.
"See Dad! I didn't disobey you, I only obeyed Mom." Naomi said.
"Oh come eat you blabber mouth." Stephanie said as she pushed Naomi slowly to her seat.
The dinner was going smoothly and sweetly. "Dad! you said you have good news to tell me." Stephanie could not hold it in any longer, the suspense was too much already.
"Ohhh, I almost forgot."
"What's that?" Sara asked while Naomi had a look of curiosity as she paused her meal. She had a feeling she knew where this was going to.
"Like I said the last time we had a discussion regarding this. Today I went to the Liu corporation and paid my old friend a visit." Davis started.
Just by hearing the surname involved, their expectancy all grew in heights, especially Stephanie, she was really attentive and patiently waiting for what her father was saying. She didn't want to miss a word.
"Wow, Master Liu right?" Sara asked while slicing the steak.
"Of course my dear. And indeed I brought forth reason for going over."
"And what was the reply?" Sara asked.
Stephanie and Naomi were all curious now.
"I propose an arranged marriage with the youngest son of the Liu's with our first daughter, Stephanie." Davis said.
Stephanie spoon immediately dropped from her hand. She looked shocked at first then surprised, It took some time to get it registered before she stood From her seat and sprinted towards her father. She hugged him tightly. "Thank you Dad! Thank you so much Dad, I'm really happy. Arrrhh Thank you so much Dad!." She excitedly screamed while squeezing Davis in her hug.
They were all happy seeing her this way, it was not new news that Stephanie had a huge crush on Liam Liu, and hoped to be by his side one Day. The time the news got to her that he had relocated abroad. She was utterly broken and devastated, thinking her chances with him were gone.
But after four good years, he decided to come back again. The reason is not known to her but she doesn't care, it's none of her business.
"So what was his reply?" Sara asked, making the over hyper Stephanie calm down, realizing that her Dad didn't say the proposal was accepted. She frowned a little.
"He hasn't given a feedback yet, but I assure he will, and it will be a positive one. I told him to think clearly about it. Because it is also beneficial business too." Davis replied.
Hearing this, it was plausible and also a good reason. Stephanie face immediately brightened again after hearing her father's words.
Naomi was very happy. Finally her sister got what she really wanted. The was a hole though. Will the Youngest Master of the Liu really accept this proposal. Because he is known world wide not to be pushed to do something he doesn't want to, so technically his parents can't force him. She was somehow worried too, her sister's happiness is on the line here. She really had a favor to ask for from Vionna.
