"NO! I AM NOT LEAVING!!"
It was Lady Carol throwing tantrums for not going back. She was behaving like a spoiled little brat forced to do something against her will. Everyone had gathered in the big hall. Lupa was stressed with this situation. He was sitting there in a chair with his hand on his head along with disappointment. He looked troubled. There was one more person, who was very tensed and fuming... Marquis Willington.
I was standing in shadows in order to avoid another tensed situation. Roger and Fiona stood in front of me as my shield and were frowning over this whole drama.
"I AM NOT GOING BACK FATHER! You love me right? It is not my fault! You always told me it's never my fault! IT WAS HER! I HAVE TO SAY HER TO KILL HER! If she is dead I will be the only one….!"
"CAROL! STOP IT! NOW! THIS IS MY FINAL WORD! YOU ARE GOING BACK!"
"But she is Quiii…mmmm"
Marquis Willington signaled his men to cover her mouth and capture her. She was basically being dragged out… At this point I felt a bit sympathy for her… but if this is not done, I might die before I go back! [Goosebumps]
"You're Highness, King Lups… I wish to take my leave now."
Lupa nodded him a farewell with a relief.
Carol was fighting back as she was being dragged out. Still she was unable to do it. But during this time her eyes met mine. The anger and hatred in her eyes was just about to burst out when I smirked at her with a evil grin and her expressions turned horrific as if she was petrified.
Carol was dragged into her carriage and set out back to her home. Everyone, including the servants, were relieved as this big trouble was taken away.
"That felt rather a difficult one…." Fiona yarned
"[chuckled] Big trouble is away for some time.." Roger remarked
"Haaaaha!" Lupa sighed out.
"Who is following her? I inquired
"Aurgum Autuman, the leader of thorn battalion, form the Knights of Earth." Lupa answered proudly.
"That's great news! (finally, the trouble is gone… and it is time to relax. Haah! What a peaceful atmosphere….)" Roger exhaled.
("I hope we could get their info as early as possible… before something else happens…")
I could hear Lupa's and Roger's inner voices yet I was unable to hear anything from Fiona.
("Why is that? First prince Leo and Now Fiona…. What is so mysterious about them?")
The palace was peaceful again. Everyone was happy around and were busy in their day to day tasks. All the trouble was out for a while and now it was time to go to Vendogri Village.
"When are we going to depart to that village?" Roger asked.
"Hmmmm… I do have some work for now, so, how about we go tomorrow morning?" Lupa asked.
"It is fine by me."Fiona answered back.
"Me too!" Roger responded.
I was lost in my thoughts when I noticed others looking at me waiting for my response.
"Why will I have any type of problem with that?" I replied annoyingly.
After all this we all were separated for a while. Roger was in Lupa's private library going through some books. Lupa was busy in his official work whereas Fiona was nowhere to be found. I was loitering around the palace and finally decided to go into the common library so as to find something interesting to read. Library was filled with numerous books based on known and unknown topics like history, geography, telekinesis, magical creatures, etc. I went ahead going through books from various shelves when an interesting book grabbed my attention. It said a familiar work 'FAIRIES'. It immediately reminded me of Fiona. She had told me 2-3 times that she is an Earth Fairy… I got curious about it and wanted to give it a try.
The book was situated on the top shelf where it was difficult to reach my hand. I tiptoed and tried my highest to get that book but still it was some inches away from me.
("I wish I was a bit taller…")
Then I looked at the book's title and spelled it out,
"Fairies – The… secrets of… nature…"
As I spoke out its name, the book moved itself out and floated down in my hands.
"[Chuckles]…. Amazing?!"
The book named 'FAIRIES - THE SECRETS OF NATURE'
It had a wooden cover with the name carved in it filled with glowing material. It was big enough, so I went through its index where I came across that term 'Earth Fairy'.
"A theory proceeding all around is fairies are intelligent species. Magical entities who personify a particular force of nature and exert powers over these forces…..Hmmm….. Interesting intro…..[turning pages]….. A fairy in today's society is detected by the clairvoyance stone after one's birth. The fairies are chosen up by deity through the stone determining one's powers. Being a fairy is a blessing to those as they are important factors representing the nature's force…. Hmm…[turning pages]…. Earth Fairy is a blessing by deity to be the most important factor of nature. The earth fairies are blessed with immense beauty and various abilities such as the ability to manipulate plant life, make flowers bloom and move vines to restrain as opponent; the ability to manipulate the soil of an area; the ability to talk to animals and phase through solid matter as long as it happens to be earth element. A fairy is blessed with protection from any psychic power as other fairies can posses these powers….."
("So this is the reason for being unable to hear her thoughts… So that means there are other fairies too….")
I wanted to read more but then I saw a lavender butterfly sitting on the book page. It flew up high around me. It had a beautiful lavender scent too. It flew towards a shelf and sat on a books as if it wants me to read that book with the title,
'THE BOOKS OF ORACLES'
