[Mission: (1)]

"Open the Mission feature," Clover calmly said.

Other than the Mission bracket floating before him, all of them vanished before the Mission moved to the Center. It was then the bracket expanded and new texts formed.

[Mission: Killing an Abomination.]

[History: Abomination was formed through cultivators that strayed from their path, a nemesis of every cultivator they face before shredding on their Mortal Form. In Ancient times, Humans abuse their potential to even have an ego to question God's Authority. They killed a lower God once, which infuriated one of the Twelve Gods, thus they decided to punish the cultivator in the name of the Heaven Rules. The General rule of Heaven is to be always fair at all times. It was then that every human cultivator fell and became a mortal, and if they ever decided to change their fate, an animus was introduced to stop them from doing so. It was through this that Abomination was introduced, on this universe, many planets fall from the hands of Abomination, and after repetitive attempts, humans finally gain their footing in the immortal realm once again.]

[Mission Description: You have discovered an Abomination through their traits. If a cultivator becomes an Abomination, it will cause destruction everywhere. Vicinity will turn grey, as every living thing in their surroundings withered away – sucking their life force in every drop. You have to kill the Abomination before it comes across to the mini human settlement kilometers away from both of you.]

[Rewards: A half-spirit Rank weapon will be rewarded to the host after completing the Mission.]

[Hint: A cultivator before turning into an Abomination without reaching the rank of cultivation is nothing like the zombie you know based on your memories. A cultivator reaching rank 3 before turning Abomination within a year is comparable to a Magical Beast!]

Reading the floating text before him, he understood that the Mission was kinda easy for him – from the hint of the mission. But there was still a single line of text that made him skeptical, he voiced it out to clear his confusion,

"System, are you sure that you will reward me for completing the mission? Surely, it will not be easy, right? You said that the Abomination I will face is compared to the zombie I know. Aside from their bite which they are proud of, nothing else to be careful about."

Clover believed in the saying 'There's ain't no such a thing as a free lunch in this world. This system would not reward me with a half-spirit rank weapon for nothing, right?

[Rest Assured, host for the rewarding system of the God's Record is not a fraud, and the authenticity will be confirmed after you complete the mission.] Although Clover was a little suspicious, and maybe God's Record was twisting facts again, he couldn't do anything aside from completing the mission, which would confirm his doubts.

"Come to think of it, system, since you are residing inside my consciousness, did my animus awaken?" Clover couldn't help but wonder if his nemesis was already awakened, and was now scheming to take over his body.

[Ah, since you ask for it Host… Hmm?... He said that I will not reveal his existence... I shouldn't reveal your existence? Since when did we become friends? I should say that you are not…." As if something on the other side pressed the end call, the conversations ended.

Clover while in the meantime was stupefied. "What was that?" he murmured as he was processing what transpired on the side of God's Record.

The Animus has been awakened already? And it seemed that it was really plotting for something.

Thinking that his life was already in danger, he needed to reach rank 2 expeditiously. If not, he wouldn't know if he would be the one who's next to become something that could cause a natural disaster.

"Only in Rank 2, I can split my consciousness and have the ability to explore the inner me. It was through this Rank could I gain access to my Hidden Consciousness and finally confront the animus." He made his decision before landing down on the ground and walking casually in the direction of the wither land.

"I wonder? Out of the seven deadly negative thoughts, what did I awaken?"

***

A man was standing in the middle of a desolate area where lackluster trees surrounded him. Here: Full of withered trees as if their every cell were sucked dry, a thin curly grey grass devoid of life, and even himself: his grotesque appearance complemented the grim aspect of the field.

He was standing full of corpses below him. Some were still new, while some were old, considering that they were nothing but all bones. His head was gazing below over his right hand, gripping a straight, narrowly thin two-edged sword with a narrow pointed blade, designed especially for thrusting.

The weapon was full of blood, yet the latter was new, at times; as if they were consumed by the rapier. The rapier didn't lose the radiance of the colored crimson blood, as if it was alive sucking the blood to its desire. At first, anyone would be deceived by the weapon as ordinary but only covered with blood, yet the blood had long dried after sucking it a long time, and the colored crimson never changed.

The slim double-edged sword's body was bulging with veins that slithered to the point blade and the handle. It was through the veins was the blood was absorbed, and yet even though it lost its nutrients, it didn't stop and signals for the holder to give it more blood.

The holder, other than the weapon he was holding, understands nothing but to fulfill the desire of the weapon. He was skinny and pale white as if his blood was even sucked by the rapier. His body: not a single peck of hair could be seen, he shine like a head of a bald person, but yet the glimmering aura he exuded was full of animosity.

His eyes were bulging out of his sockets, he was using the weapon's supervision to control him since he couldn't see, as his eyes were gone. Waiting for the weapon's order, the weapon moved, pointing in a certain direction where his head also moved as if they were in one.

He sniffs even though his sense of smell has long gone. He then muttered something in an indescribable voice, "B-Bloooooddd…"

It took him a few seconds to voice out what he desired, or rather what the weapon he was holding – desired. It was pointing in a certain direction, and he had to follow its order and move to accomplish his mission.

Every time he moved, five meters in circumference with him as a center, all the things inside the circle would be influenced by the aura he was radiating, and their life has succumbed to the destruction from the man he caused. He was a walking natural disaster, a plague, and the definition of evil itself.

Meanwhile, a glimmering crimson-colored rapier was shivering from the excitement, it knew that the human whose blood it was about to consume, was a unique one - one that could satisfy its stomach with just one drop of blood.
