Five minutes later, night fell as the moon finally came out of its abode. A pack of wolves growled with their saliva dripping out of their mouth and canine teeth, and they were ready to pounce any moment but refrained from acting since they were still waiting for their pack leader to give an order.
However, their pack leader didn't voice any word yet and remained silent as a mute. They were confused, but their desire to fulfill their stomach only clouded their bestial minds. One of them howled and didn't hesitate to continue howling until he received another howl from its brethren.
Howl… Howl… Howl…
It wasn't long before he gained approval from its fellow wolves, and they howled in harmony. However, their strongest ally — the pack leader — didn't follow them, and instead, its eyes were attentive to the weapon that was being enveloped by the viscous blood.
For some reason, he felt deep trepidation toward the weapon before them, and the foreboding feeling he felt only strengthened to the point his four legs were shivering from fear. He wanted to warn his brethren so badly, but his words stuck in his throat, as he couldn't even howl with them.
He needed one single howl! Just one single howl! To express the agitation he was feeling with the single howl he wanted to convey. However, he couldn't do anything aside from watching his brethren blindly follow another leader – who was blinded by power. He knew that the one who started the howl attack was the man who wanted to be the leader, yet the pack would only follow the stronger.
Out of the pack, four of them - along with the wolf who initiated the howl - reached the early Rank 1 common class, but he reached the Rank 1 elite class, which made him unknowingly the leader of the pack. In the jungle – no matter the era – always respected the strong, while the weak should be prepared to serve them.
Having the responsibility as their leader, he should be the one who would warn them of danger, yet because of the fear he perceived, he couldn't perform a simple thing, and even if he warned them, it was too late!
Swoosh… Swoosh…
He still tried to resist the feeling he felt and badly wanted to warn his fellow brethren who had family awaiting them, but sadly it was too late. All of them, except him, pounced on the man who was asleep – unguarded!
At this moment, his eyes never left ahead to the floating liquid, viscous blood enveloping the weapon before it suddenly turned into a solid scarlet bright cocoon.
As his fellow brethren, run like literal hungry wolves, the cocoon suddenly made a cracking sound before it shattered in every direction. All of the fragments, strangely still connected to the weapon's body hovered in mid-air.
All of the fragments turned into one before they were divided into four. The four fragments turned into a spear, which their tail connected to the scarlet-colored rapier sword, and as if they were controlled by the rapier sword. They were precisely dashing towards the four wolves – who didn't pay any heed to what was the rapier sword aimed.
All they knew – the moment earth changed– They were the king of the jungle! Together with their pack leader, no one could threaten them!
They made this reckless decision without the order of their leader. It was because they were trying to appease him with a human to be the greatest meal to their leader. Later they didn't know, was that even their leader felt afraid, not of the man before them, but of the hovering weapon beside the man.
Their leader was wise, and wouldn't act with his desire, and it was for this reason that their tribe was still alive. The leader was sensitive to the danger, and it was for this reason he made use of this, to evade which existence could threaten them.
It was also for this reason that they were here, watching the battle of both existences that could potentially harm them. Although Clover still hadn't yet reached the point that he could kill him, the abomination he faced was the very sole reason that they were here because if Clover couldn't kill it, they would kill it themselves and serve Clover as their celebratory food.
It was already a nuisance for them for the Abomination continued harming nature. They were trying to expand their territory, yet the Abomination continued destroying the land, which hindered their progress. They had already accumulated a hundred members, but only five of them stepped and evolved to Rank 1.
Aside from their canine teeth which increased, their body was also enhanced to the point that their brethren who haven't yet stepped to the ranking but have sharp claws, couldn't even leave a single mark on their fur.
However, they still feel afraid of the Abomination. Out of the Abomination they encountered, the former was a unique one. When even their scout, stepped to the boundary of the Abomination, it wasn't long before their scout bite his fellow brethren and made a rampage.
When the Abomination unlocked its sentience, it suddenly powered up. The leader didn't hesitate to howl a retreat call and tried to evacuate their fellow members. It took them three hours done that, and when they came back with only five of them but had the power to retreat immediately in case something happened.
All they saw, was a panting young man who was like a lamb for a moment, yet as if the young man also suddenly power up, so they didn't make a move yet. However, minutes passed by and they wanted to pounce the young man to be their dinner, yet strangely their leader haven't made a call.
Now they knew why was that. A javelin structure made of viscous blood penetrated their fur, which was they confident of since even a sharp claw couldn't leave a mark on them, they were confident that at most, the javelin should only leave a scratch, yet it fully penetrated their guts and even continued flying to the other side.
All four javelin crimson blood pierce through the four hungry wolves, who were only about a meter to bite the sleeping young man. The latter slept like a log, unconcerned about what would happen to him. The trust in his new weapon was something these four hungry wolves didn't have.
Although their leader was powerful, they didn't fully trust him yet. They believed that once they reached Rank 1 above the elite class, they would be the next ones to rule over their tribe. However, this was something they neglect, a powerful one wasn't only with physical might but also with the mind.
Thud… Thud… Thud… Thud…
One by one, they fell to the ground – lifeless. The blood Javelin retracted and fully integrated with the weapon. The weapon's appearance now was different from before. The round bowl, which was supposed to protect the hand, now turned into a seven-ringed, and the body turned much thinner than before. Three from seven ringed that guarded the hand, curved more to guard the knuckle part.
Although the body thinned, its side was tempered like a sharp edge sword to have better penetration when thrusting an enemy. Since the body was longer than other swords, the body was divided into three parts. The part which connected from the handle, has more defense compared to the other parts, in other words, it was a strong part, which was better for parrying other weapons.
The second part – the middle part of the body – has a false and true edge. The fall edge's purpose was to avoid harming the owner of the weapon, and the true edge purpose, in case the distance couldn't perform the pierce, then slashed with the true edge made it plausible. Almost all the flaw of the weapon was now covered up from the evolution. As for the third part, the edges were weak, but the point was sharpened with the aid of the edges.
