"What's the status report?" Chief Prince arrived at the scene of the event with hundreds of others who were sent as backup. When he got there, he saw hundreds of ambulances hovering injured citizens to hospitals for treatment, fire trucks and drones putting out the fires, and heavy armored police trucks carrying D2 and D3 units in case the beast wasn't able to be detained by the first units.
"It's not looking good, chief." One of the hundreds of officers deployed responded. "This beast's taken out almost half of the buildings it walked past. It's fire's just too hot, the fire fighter's have battled fiercely with it but it's unlike anything they've ever faced.'
"Hold on. Did you say beast?" Prince wondered. "Run it through the beast analyzer. I want to know what we're dealing with."
"That's the problem, sir," his voice cracked. "We don't have it recorded in the database. It's never been seen before, studied, examined, or even named. We may be facing a beast that's at the Demon-tier."
"However, we have good news, Chief," Another officer spoke while handing Prince a tablet. On it played a video of the D2 units handling the creature. "The beast's been injured and we now know it's durability levels. It's not as indestructible as we thought it was."
'This is good," Chief Prince chimed. "Program those D2 units to finish the beast off now. We can't risk capturing it alive since we don't know of its power, understood?"
"But sir, we…."
"That's an order, officer." Prince interrupted. "These are people's lives' we're gambling with. We can't put them at risk simply because we want to study the thing."
"There's no need." A familiar and oh so annoying voice sounded, making Chie Prince scowl in anger. "Don't worry boys in blue. The Mutant Protection Police are here. We'll handle this."
"This isn't your duty, Stone." Prince groaned. "You're supposed to be handling the serial killer who's on the loose."
"Of course, I am." Agent Stone laughed. "We hear that it's a beast causing this chaos and who's to say that this beast isn't the killer?"
'He does have a point."
"Judging by that look on your face, Prince, you agree with me. Now, step aside and let us through.
Agent Stone and Grace walked past the barricade Prince and his forces stood behind and made their way through the fire. "We'll bring this thing in alive, okay?" Stone laughed as he took off his jacket, revealing his toned body.
Grace, on the other hand, rolled up her sleeves and leaped onto one of the rooftops and continued following Stone.
"Well, looks like our job here's done." The officer sighed in defeat as he prepared to shut the units down.
"No, it isn't," Chief Prince continued. "Even if those two manage to kill that thing, we still have to help the hundreds of civilians behind us and those trapped inside. All of you suit up in gas masks and follow me." He said while pin pointing out locations that most likely had people either trapped, or hiding in them. "There are people who need our help."
"Yes sir!"

"Beast Status: Injured."
"Finalize attack."
"WARNING! TAKE CAUTION!" The D2 units quickly leaped back as the beast whacked its powerful tail and missed, leaving a large crack on the ground. The wound slowly burned as it sealed up as good as new. Its eyes burned with a new rage as the pit of its abdomen started to glow. The glow moved upwards until it reached its mouth where it released a thick cloud of fire at the D2 units.
"Brace yourselves." The units rolled themselves into ball shapes in hopes of shielding their important components from the flames. However, as soon as the flames hit, their metallic components melted rapidly until they fell off to the ground. Their crucial components followed next and soon, all six D2 units were decommissioned…permanently.
"Wow. That thing's got some serious fire power." Stone commented after witnessing from a corner. "Its body's practically indestructible but…how far can its regeneration go?"
"Do we strike now?" Grace asked. "We can keep it engaged until the D3 units move in."
"Augh, come on, Grace," Stone cut her short. "Those police units cannot do our work. They'll just melt immediately. Let's finish this ourselves. I smell a promotion coming up." He smiled as his body's size doubled.
His six-foot height changed to eight-feet. His arms were twice as thick, and his body's color started to change into an earthy-gray tone. The clothes on his back shredded as pebbles aligned his backbone. This was his mutant power, manipulating his body into a stone-like golem. "Join me when you feel ready to do your job, Grave."
Stone leaped to the battle field and landed behind the beast. He quickly got to work and grabbed it by its tail, swung it around with its head in his large hand and slammed it down into the ground repeatedly until it started bleeding again. On his back grew a large stone hammer which he used to smash away at the beast's head.
*BAM*
The hammer connected with the beast's head, however there was close to zero damage on it. Upon seeing this, stone lifted his hammer again and struck again so hard that the stone smashed to pieces.
"That should do the job." He grinned. "Nothing's ever survived my hammer hit."
With his guard known and ignorance on whether he really killed the beast or not, Stone wasn't prepared for this next attack. The beast pushed its head back, causing its horns to dig into his legs. It then broke them with its claws, jump and tilted in the air and finally landed with a kick to Stone's stomach.
The hit was so powerful that a crack was left on the mutant's body. The beast, on the other hand, was getting ready with yet another attack. The tips of its tail grew three-inch long spikes as it spun and whacked Stone right in the face. It then leaped into the air, stomped on Stone's jaw until it snapped and went for its finally attack, two claws to take out Stone's eyes.
