*Look at the size of that thing.*
*I can't tell which is the beast. Is it the stone one?*
*It has to be the black one.*
*See how human like it is? It could be a demon tier at the least.*
All social media platforms were in uproar as hundreds from Desper, RedZone and beyond streamed the fight between the beast, Agent Stone, and Agent Grace. Most of the viewers were battling with each other on whichever creature was the beast while those who knew Stone and Grace cheered for them to win.
A few of the viewers, mostly from Desper, were spewing hateful comments and hoped for the downfall of Desper. Reasons were simply because Desper prospered more than RedZone and instead of her citizens working harder, they'd rather conduct illegal business.
*High time Desper fell. Sick of those rich snobs.*
*Are you insane? There are innocent children there. We shouldn't wish for such upon them.*
*Oh boohoo. Desper's too overcrowded anyways. They deserve it.*
As a fight on the internet broke out between Desper and RedZone viewers, the real fight between beast and mutants was taking a rather shocking turn.
Agent Stone and Agent Grace breathed heavily with their hands supporting their chests as the beast hunched with black blood oozing out of the many wounds on its body. Its eyes seemed more human-like and became more and more evident. For starters, the skin on its face started to turn into that of a human and its claws turned into stubby human fingers. Nonetheless, it was still as violent as ever.
"Grace, look at that." Stone pointed out as gravel from beneath his feet absorbed into his body in order for him to heal. "We may be up against a rogue mutant after all. They might not know how to use their mutant abilities yet."
"That's not it at all." She said as her skin began to light up again with flames. "That beast fights like it's not a part of this world. Its anger, its fire, and the way it moves is not something I or anyone else has ever come across, I suppose. Enough chitchat," She said with flaming wings developing on her back. "Let's finish this now."
"Right. Let's show these Desper citizens why we Mutants are superior." Stone grinned while slamming his palms deep into the ground.
The gravel began to soften as Grace sped for the beast with fireballs ready in her palms. She quickly threw them at the beast which just shielded with its forearms. However, when it looked up, the woman that was attacking it a few seconds ago was no longer there.
"Gotcha." Stone jerked the gravel like it was a rope and manipulated it to harden at the beast's feet. With a mighty swing, he propelled its body to the sky where Grace was waiting with an explosive attack to the beast's chest. The force from the explosion sent the beast crashing into the ground, only for the process to repeat five more times.
Having had enough but with also little strength left, the beast vomited a hot puddle of lava at Grace's foot before latching his tail onto it. Once it did so, it fell to the ground with her and attempted to slam her head into it.
Just before they smashed into the ground, Grace generated an explosion from the soles of her feet that inched her away from the beast and scorched it at the same time. The beast fell to the ground one last time and was now surrounded by Grace at its front and Stone at its back.
"Give it up, you mutant." Stone remarked while forming another stone hammer in his right hand. "We know you're human. Just deform and end the madness you caused."
The beast snorted a paralyzing smoke that choked Grace until she passed out. Quickly and without wasting time, it ran to Stone's left side and prepared to jab him with the tip of its deadly claws. However, the stone=based mutant quickly swung his hammer and barely hit the beast which swooped to his back. With one kick, it sent Stone skidding across the gravel before he got back his footing.
'Damn it. It's too fast.' He said while using the stones beneath him to slow him down. 'Maybe if I….' The beast appeared to his right and kicked his head just hard enough to finally knock him out.
Victorious but gravely injured, the beast let out one last mighty roar before disappearing into the dead of night with its hands pressed against its bleeding sides.
------
*Wow. Can't believe Agent Stone and Grace have been knocked out.*
*Now what? What's going to happen now that the beast is still on the loose?*
*Where are the Police? I'm not paying my tax credits to some idiots that won't do their jobs.*
Barry and Katy ended their livestream and joined the rest of the civilians that were getting medical treatment. Even though they sustained no injuries, they sought to help as many people as they could in any way since most of them lost everything, thanks to the beast.
Meanwhile, an MFP hover vehicle landed where Stone and Grace lay unconscious and returned them to Neveah where they'd receive treatment for their wounds.
"This has been one heck of an evening." Barry sighed while re-watching his recordings. "That beast was so powerful and yet, we've been able to defeat it."
"Stone and Grace did," Katy interrupted. "But still, those two are some of the strongest mutant fighters Neveah's ever produced, and even they couldn't kill it."
"What's going to happen next?" Barry asked but then, he suddenly saw Chief Prince and a few other policemen and women being carried away on stretchers. With his camera in his hand, Barry signaled for Katy to continue with the news while he took shots of the injured.
"Citizens of Desper." She started with a heavily burdened tone. "Today marks a sad day for many of South Eastern's residents after they watched their homes, schools, and businesses burn to the ground by an unknown beast. So far, eight hundred people have been reported dead, and one hundred are still missing."
"As you can see behind me, the police, medics, and firefighters are doing everything in their power to help as many more as they can. More developments will be given as the story advances."
She ended while Barry showed Chief Prince and others being taken to the hospital.
