Lenny cringed at the feel of the soggy carpet beneath her feet as she took a step into the room. The whole carpet was soaked water. Lenny noticed the white duvet was sprawled across the floor. She walked closer to it, examining the bed and the rumpled up duvet.
A large gush of wind breezed against Lenny's skin and she flinched at the cold feeling. Her eyes quickly turned to the direction it had come from. It came from the bathroom and the door was slightly ajar.
Lenny swallowed and walked slowly towards the bathroom. A slight foreboding and eerie feeling had etched itself in her mind ever since she stepped into the room. Why was she feeling this way? Something about the countenance of the room didn't sit right with Lenny, especially the way the room was unusually dimly lit, even though it was still bright outside.
Lenny placed her hand on the door knob of the bathroom door and swung it open further. The tap above the bathtub was open, filling the tub to the brim with water until it spilled over to the ground. Lenny had found the reason why the whole ground was filled with water, but who had turned it on?
She walked over to the bathtub and a small yelp escaped her lips. Her grandmother was submerged in the water, floating jus above the surface.
"Grandma!?" Lenny screamed in shock.
Without hesitation or taking her time to think, Lenny reached into the water filled tub and pulled her grandmother out of it. Her grandmother was particularly light, so it wasn't straining for Lenny.
Her grandmother's eyes were shut tight, her body showed no signs of movement. Lenny body began to tremble as panic filled her mind. What could she do in this situation? Was her grandmother still alive? How long had she been in the water? Lenny's mind was a whirlpool of questions.
Lenny pulled the old woman out of the tub completely and lay her down on the bathroom floor. She stared at her, her eyes darting up and down her body. Still no signs of movement. Was she...dead? Lenny felt a the blood drain from her face at the thought. She needed to do something and fast.
"My phone! I need to call mom...or 911." She muttered frantically and pushed herself up from the ground.
Lenny felt a cold hand grab her wrist, forcing her to look back. The old woman's eyes were wide up, and she was staring at Lenny.
"Dont...call any one." She croaked, her red eyes still focused on Lenny, never blinking.
Lenny was frozen in one spot. She was filled with fear, anxiety and discomfort. She just nodded like an obedient dog and sat back down on the floor. The old woman's grip on her wrist loosened and her eyes slid shut.
"Take me to the bed." She said.

Lenny pulled the duvet over her grandmother and listen to her sigh with satisfaction. The old woman looked at her grandmother and a weak smile curled up her lips.
"Im sorry dear, did I out you in a tough situation? It must've been awful seeing me in such a state." She said, her voice trembling a bit.
"Well...it was a bit shocking." Lenny admitted.
The old woman chuckled and sighed.
"I got into the bathtub to take a short dip. I turned the tap on and I suddenly felt weak. I don't really remember what happened after that, but from the looks of it, I'm sure I fainted." She explained.
Lenny looked down at the soaked carpet.
"What about the carpet? It's all wet."
"Dont worry about that, I'll have someone change it."
Lenny nodded and looked at the old woman.
"Um, are you okay? I can call my mother, maybe she'll be able to help w-"
"No." The old woman cut in sharply, her face hardened with an emotion Lenny couldn't phantom.
Her face softened and she smiled at Lenny.
"What I mean is, there's no need for that. Your mother is very busy, so there's no need to bother with such a trifling matter, okay dear?"
Lenny swallowed an nodded. Something about the way she looked and smiled at Lenny was completely uncomfortable.
"Why don't you leave this old woman to rest hm? I'll call you if I need anything."
"Okay."
Lenny walked to the door and out of her grandmother's eerie room, hoping she wouldn't have to step into it again.

The night was unusually quiet. It wasn't particular noisy every night, but today was different. A dead silence had taken over the night and Lenny wished she hadn't been awake to feel it. She lay in bed, her eyes fixated above her in the dark room. For some reason, Lenny couldn't fa asleep no matter how much she tried. Was it the bed? Or the uncomfortable feeling of the bed sheet brushing against her skin each time she moved? Lenny couldn't tell. But it was probably because she was worried about the sudden burn out she was having.
Lenny was worried about the fact that she hadn't been able to draw or paint for the last few days. Art meant everything to Lenny, and not being able to do it was equivalent to dying. Why couldn't she paint? Something was definitely wrong with her.
Lenny sighed and reached for the small desk lamp on the bedside table. She flicked it on and the small light illuminated a small portion of the room, particular the bedside only. She reached for her phone and checked the time. It was 3:45 am, too early and too late to be up. Lenny placed her phone down and pushed herself up on the bed.
"I wanna paint." Lenny muttered under her breath.
Then, an idea struck her. She flung herself out of bed and picked up her phone, switching on the flashlight. As long as she was quiet, everything would be fine. She walked out of her room quietly and tiptoed down the corridor to the painting room. Lenny swung the door open slowly and closed it behind her slowly.
