[Ding. You have gained one new skill]
Ryan's eyes almost popped out of his socket after seeing the buzz of amazing notifications, one after the other.
He only wanted the special Tamer class. He did not expect all of these additional awesome rewards. This was simply too good!
If only he had obtained something like this before… in his last life... maybe things wouldn't have been that difficult.
Huff… Ryan collapsed next to the husky on the dirty street, hugging the dog with one hand. The truth was that he still couldn't wrap his mind around what just happened, but here he was.
The information that he knew was correct. The apocalypse began right on time, and he even managed to obtain the special class with the knowledge that he had.
All of this pointed to one and only one thing. Somehow he was back.
Ryan clenched his fist and silently stared at the husky in its dull blue eyes. Just like him, this dog had also gone through a lot, it seems.
"It's ok, buddy. Things are going to change now." He patted the dog. "Right, let me check out the skills."
In this new world, two things were important. One was points, and the other was skills, and now he had a jump start on both of these things.
Ryan hurriedly clicked on the first skill.
Tame Beast (Active): Bind a beast to become your companion. Casting time: 20 seconds. Any interruptions will void the process.
"Damn! This is a core class skill!" Ryan was shocked. He then nervously clicked on the second skill.
Bandage (Active): Bandage the wound to improve the healing process.
Unlike the first skill, this one was very vague and simple, but Ryan knew the importance of this skill all too well.
"With these two skills, I really hit the jackpot." He rubbed his hands in a hurry as he was itching to test the [Tame Beast] skill.
Near him, the three-legged husky was the only animal around. "Well, since you started my journey, you will be the first one I tame. Do you want to become my pet?"
Ruff? The husky tilted its head and looked in confusion.
Ryan grinned and muttered, "Tame Beast." Almost immediately, a weird tingling sensation spread across his body. 20 seconds later…
[Ding. Taming Successfull]
[Ding. Do you wish to name your pet?]
"Phew. That was easy. Name huh?" Ryan looked at the husky up and down. "Let's call you three legs."
Ruff! The dog looked happy with the name, so he quickly moved on to the next thing, his stat points and skill points.
In a bit, everything was about to become crazy, so he wanted to be prepared.
He opened the system interface that he was very familiar with and looked at his stats, the thing that was important for a tamer was...
"Hey! It looks like we have company today!!" Interrupting Ryan's actions, a loud voice sounded. A group of seven guys walked into the small alleyway.
"What are you doing here, dude?"
"The whole world is going crazy right now with the Apocalypse Online or whatever. What are you doing here in this dustbin area?"
"You better get out and leave that dog behind. This is our spot."
Ryan sneered. These guys probably had no idea who he was, but he knew them very well. In his last life, it was this bunch of assholes that had made his life miserable for a good few weeks.
After that, he escaped, but because of this incident, he lagged behind everyone else. His level was among the bottom-level players, and his growth stagnated.
However, that was all in his last life.
They say every bad incident has a silver lining, and it turned out to be true in Ryan's life.
Though these guys made his life miserable once upon a time, it was thanks to these bastards that he was able to get his special class.
More specially, it was thanks to the guy at the center who was the tallest among the bunch. Seeing the stick in his hand, this group had wandered over here to make history repeat itself.
Unfortunately for them, they were a step too late. Ryan had already stolen their fate.
"Are you calling this dustbin your spot?" He answered mockingly, not showing any fear in his eyes.
"Hey! Watch it, dude! Just because shit is happening doesn't mean we will let you off easily. Scram or else…"
Interrupting him, one of the guys carrying a big stick walked forward. He curled his lips upwards and revealed a big grin.
"Hey, Dante! Don't be hasty. Maybe our friend here doesn't need to leave after all." He winked at the other guys, and the group exchanged knowing looks among themselves.
"Hey, look here. We don't mean to be rude or anything. We just need that dog near you. You also got that flashing screen right. We just want to figure out what it means."
"This dog is a good test specimen. So just step aside. You can also observe us if you want. It's a good chance to learn."
"Oh? Is that so?" Ryan's smile widened. Now he understood how these bastards ended up with a hidden class in the first place. They had tortured this poor dog and made it submit.
And if Ryan was correct, they were planning on torturing him as well to experiment with the system and find more things about it. A cruel bunch but also a rather clever one.
More importantly, there were about seven of them.
Perhaps if his skills had been different, he would have been able to take them out, but with these two starting skills, he needed to think of something different.
"Hey? Are you listening or not? Are we not talking to you politely enough? You best listen while we are still talking."
"Right. Sorry, my bad. I tuned out there for a second." Ryan ruffled his hair and started walking out of that alleyway.
He then stopped and turned to look at the guys, "Actually, I noticed something strange a few feet from here. Do you guys... I mean... would you be interested in seeing what that is? Aha ha ha. I am just too scared to go there alone."
"Hey, you fucking-"
Dante stopped him. "Let's go see what that is first." The two exchanged looks with the rest of the group, and soon they were all following Ryan.
Ryan was at the front, so no one saw his expression at the moment. He was grinning from ear to ear. Revenge was always so damn sweet.
