Angie gasped after Maths stole a kiss from her, It was unbelievable. She stared at him shunned while a devilish smile curved on his lip. She marvelled at what has gone wrong with him. He was looking so cold and all of a sudden, sweet.
But, she kinda felt better seeing him dig into the burger she has prepared with love. She just stood and watched him, joyfully. He looks more handsome than before and she was grateful she was part of his life.
Maths heard her sob and swerve around to face her. She wept quietly but her cries filled the room. Maths took her by her hands, pulling her a little closer to him, having no idea why she was crying at the moment. She was beaming at him not quite long.
"What's wrong?" he asked, his right hand taking up her chin to face him. He felt vulnerable seeing her cry.
Without saying anything, Angie pulled him into a hug, clogging him tightly like she was never going to breathe again if she was restrained from it.
Worried at her gesture, he tightened the hug until they could barely feel their thumping heart. They just stood unable to disengage from the hug.
"Thank you, Maths. Thank you so much," she muttered between her breath.
Maths could not understand her utterance but he continued to listen, reserving his question after that moment.
"What made you cry?" Maths asked after they'd both settled down on his mattress. Angie was too shy to look at him so she bent her head, playing with her fingers.
"Don't you want to talk about it?" he asked again and she couldn't help but strain her face back to his. His questions were becoming too much and she wondered if he would get angry if she kept giving him silence treatment.
So she decided to return her answer with a question. "Do you now accept me as your girlfriend?" she asked, still facing him.
Maths chuckled, revealing some set of his white teeth.
Angie hit him softly on his chest for pranking her and he was quick enough to clench her hand and placed it on his chest. He sneered at her as she tried pulling back her hand forgetting her strength was nothing fit for his.
"How much did you have to cry because of me?"
"That was because you keep making things harder." she lamented ignoring the fact that she made a promise.
"Making things harder?"
Then she realized her words. "You made me think you just felt like flirting with me on that day, at Coney Island." she was happy she was quick to cover up her secret.
Maths heaved a heavy sigh remembering how he has forcefully kissed Angie that night. He wasn't in his right senses but he has never done it before, coercing a girl to kiss him. He never knew where the urge came from.
"You did a good job at stealing my first kiss," Angie revealed.
"First kiss?" Maths growled while she nodded. "It was your first kiss."
"Yes, feeling guilty right?"
"Why should I?" he returned her question with another question. He was now playing with her fingers, caressing them softly.
Angie shook her head at him. She was certain he kissed her on purpose. She was right about her thought for him, he was a flirt.
"I'm sorry," he mumbled. "But I don't regret doing it".
"I realized it the moment I confronted you, you did as if the kiss never came to pass," she said frowning, taking her hand away from him to fold them on her chest.
"I did apologize."
"It wasn't sincere." Angie scoffed
Maths didn't say a word to her and kept quiet. She won.
Angie checked the time the moment she realized it was getting late in the night. Maths room's coverage won't enable her to know the time.
She stood up immediately taking Maths by surprise. "It's almost 7, I should get going."
Maths nodded, standing up to escort her out.
Angie went to his slab and grabbed her bag, just then she remembered he hasn't taken his drug. She turned to face him.
"You haven't taken your medication and I want you to have it in front of me," she said, opening up the pills.
Maths wrapped his hand around her waist, pulling her onto him and whispered into her heart seductively, sending shivers down her entire body. "You don't have to worry, I'll use it after seeing you off."
Angie freed herself from him and turned to have facial contact. "I never knew you were such a freak."
