Chapter 59 - ANGELA

"Angela, that's her name." Maths revealed to his grandmother. It had taken long before he could even get to know her name but now he loved the name. It sounds so nice to his hearing and he blushed at the thought.

"I see..." Mrs. Albert paused and gave him a suspicious look. "That girl is doing something to you, you're blushing all of a sudden."

"Was I?" Maths asked afterward, took his hands to his hair and stroked it out of shyness. He had no idea he was flushing hard.

Mrs. Albert didn't say anything and just watched him avoiding her gaze. "How did you two meet? Where does she live? How old is she? Which school does she attend? Who are her parents? What grade..."

"Granny stop!" Maths snapped her out of her questions. He clasped his head, reacting to all her questions. That was his grandmother's problem for him. She doesn't seem to calm down at things. No wonder she had issues with her heart.

"So you won't tell me who she is, right?" she asked again trying to play smart.

Maths stood up and pace to the kitchen. The kitchen was constructed within the sitting room so he could still communicate with his grandmother.

"I just happen to like her and that's all. I don't know any information about her whereas we just met. She attends my school." he uttered, making use of the coffee machine. "Also a friend to Nancy," he added.

"Thank goodness, she is Nancy's friend. You met her at school, right?" Mrs. Albert questioned again trying to get more information. She knew he was hiding some information from her.

Maths nodded to her question.

Mrs. Albert stood up from the sofa she was sitting on and went to stand beside him, where he was making coffee.

"Nancy doesn't have friends, where did they meet?"

Maths nudged a cup of coffee into her hands and left her standing, heading back to his seat.

Mrs. Albert sighed but still followed him. "You aren't going to confide me about her, are you? Why then did you have to tell me about her?"

Maths said nothing as though the question wasn't referred to him. He kept to his silent and gulped down the coffee. His grandmother wasn't giving him the space he needed and he regretted ever telling her about his feelings for Angie.

Whereas, Mrs. Albert was already thinking of how she was going to ask Nancy about Angela, her grandson's first love. She smiled sheepishly, watching him savor his coffee.

In the evening|

Angie sat in the sitting room, a movie was playing in front of her but she wasn't concentrating on it. Her mind was far away from home and her meditation was all about yesterday's time with Maths.

It was so overwhelming to think of the fact that she was able to get Maths to like her even though she has not gotten a chance to fix him back to a calm and loving person, not only to her but to everyone around him.

She thought of the reasons he wasn't at school that day. She has gone to search for him in college after she couldn't see a trace of him around the rooftop and the swimming alley. Yet, she didn't catch a glimpse of him.

She missed him. She was speechless to see herself becoming attached to him even when she thought she was never going to be fond of him not to mention her falling into his arms.

She grinned and her brother who was sitting on the other side of the couch noticed.

"What's so funny about this scene?" Dennis asked, suspiciously. She has been acting weird right from when she came back from school.

Angie came back to her world when he asked her that question. "Nothing." She shrugged and sat erect on the chair, her arm folding on her leg placed on the couch.

Dennis scoffed and focused back on the movie. He has low interest in annoying her that evening all because he didn't want to miss any moment of watching 'Clouds'

Angie laid her head on the couch still in contemplation and dozed off a while later.
