Diana took a quick shower and stepped out wrapped up in a white towel.
With Lily's help, she quickly dressed up in a white gown, which its arms were long at usual.
She looked at her self in the mirror and adjusted her hair a bit.
She nodded in satisfaction once she was done and proceeded downstairs with Lily following behind her.
She walked into the living room and halted on seeing Lorenzo ready to leave with Flora by his side and the four ladies following behind him.
"Hey, wait for me." She hurried towards them, and Lorenzo halted on his step.
He turned around, and the moment his eyes fell on her, he scrutinized her from head to toe.
He fixed his gaze on her face and his brow arched in a bit of a questioning manner.
"Where are you going?" He asked, and Diana drew her head back in confusion.
"Uh... what do you mean? I thought you were taking us out."
She inquired in perplexity, and Lorenzo found himself smiling in a bit of astonishment.
"Oh no no, you seem to have got this all wrong. You are not allowed to go with us. You're in that monthly situation, so... you're staying back. I already told your maid. So don't worry, she will take good care of you."
He smiled at her, and Diana's eyes blinked vigorously.
"What...? But that stops nothing, does it? It has nothing to do with me ea-"
"Take good care of her. Wouldn't want her to fall sick, alright." Lorenzo, who wasn't ready to listen to her words, turned to Lily and said.
Lily nodded in understanding and watched as Lorenzo turned around and left with the ladies, leaving Diana to gaze at their disappearing backs in disbelief.
"Miss... Diana..." Lily, now feeling quite bad about what had just happened, proceeded to talk, but Diana simply waved her hand at her and walked away towards the elevator.
She made her way back to her room and pulled the door open.
She stepped inside and walked to her bed.
She sat on it and curled her legs towards her chest.
Her excitement was crushed just like that!
"Asshole!" She cursed with an annoyed expression on her face and quickly raised her head when she heard Lily walk in.
"Miss Diana...I am really sorry about what happened. I just had no idea that-"
It's a fine lily. I really don't mind." She shook her head at her with a smile on her lips, and Lily lowered her head, still feeling quite guilty.
"Lily... I want to ask you a question." Diana said, and Lily raised her head to look at her.
"Do you really want to be here? Like, are you happy here?" She asked, and quite confused by the question, Lily looked at her in confusion.
"What... do you mean?" She inquired, and Diana half smiled at her.
"It's just a question. Just wondering, that's all." She replied even though that was not the real motive behind her question.
She knew that once a demon committed a crime against the law in hell, they would be banished out into the earth where their punishment would be to serve humans, and serving humans was one of the most humiliating things a demon could do.
So she honestly can't understand what crime a girl as young as Lily could have committed.
Sure, she wasn't the only maid demon serving in the mansion, but she was the youngest of them all.
She just wants to find out if she's really happy or just putting a fake smile on her face.
Pfft, why even ask such a ridiculous question? She obviously isn't happy. I mean, which demon would be happy to serve a mere human whom they could end in a matter of seconds?
She sighed and gazed at Lily with a cynical expression on her face.
"It's fine. You don't have to answer. No one would be happy to work as a maid, anyway." She said on seeing the reluctant expression on Lily's face, but Lily, however, allowed a quick smile to emerge on her face and shook her head.
"No! No!No!I am happy to be here. I really am." She quickly corrected, and Diana drew her head back in a bit of surprise.
That is absolutely impossible. But who knows, maybe she just doesn't want to tell the truth since she probably thinks Diana is human.
"I see. Well, that's good." Diana smiled at her and she nodded before leaving the room to get her breakfast ready.
