Diana drew back a bit and rushed towards the fence.
She grabbed onto it and climbed up, but as awful as she was at this, she ended up falling heavily to the ground.
"Ouch!!" She groaned in pain and hurriedly stood up from the ground.
She glanced to her left and right and a deep breath of relief exited her nose on seeing that there was no security.
She looked up ahead and walked towards the door that led into the building, then slowly pulled it open and stepped inside.
She quickly made her way up the stairs and glanced at both doors at the end of the staircase. She stepped into the one on her left, as it was the one that had the hallway that led to her room.
She hadn't been given an open room like the one the others had, so you can say that she was alone most of the time, because she was always locked up by her father and rarely allowed to step outside.
A smirk formed on her face and she quickly shook her head.
She turned the door handle of her room and pushed it open, then stepped inside.
She glanced around and smiled on seeing that everything was in order.
Quickly, she shut the door and moved toward the bed.
She bent down and pulled out an ash-colored suitcase, then opened it.
Everything, including some documents that belonged to her mother, came into view, and she stood up to grab her backpack.
Before her mother died, she had asked her to keep the things and documents inside the suitcase safe.
Although she doesn't know what the documents are for as she hadn't read through them, she had kept them safe and away from the notice of her father.
Diana packed everything into the backpack and zipped it up.
She shut the suitcase and pushed it back under the bed, then stood up on her feet.
She hung the backpack on her back and proceeded to leave, but the instant she opened the door, someone who was none other than William walked in, resulting in her head bumping on his chest.
She hastily stepped back and raised her head to look at his face, which held a smirk.
"William." She arched her brows in confusion. "What are you doing here? I thought you were in New York."
She asked, and William chuckled softly.
"Surprised to see me? Huh, little sis?" His smirk widened even more, and Diana scoffed at him in disgust.
She proceeded to walk past him and leave, but William, who wasn't going to let her leave just like that, grabbed her by the arm and pulled her back into the room.
"Where... do you think you're going, little sis?" He shut the door as he asked, and Diana's face darkened deeply.
"I have warned you never to call me sister, Williams. We are not siblings! I don't know who you are!"
She glared at him, and as though a bit hurt, William's lashes fluttered.
"Well, that hurts, but regardless of what you say, you know we are siblings." He smiled at her and moved closer to her. "I may not be your biological brother, but I am your brother nonetheless. I am legally adopted after all."
He said and reached out his hand to pat her head, but not wanting him to touch her, Diana gripped his wrist and glared at him.
"If I were you, Williams, this would be an even bigger reason for me not to step back into this house. I know what your stupid plan for returning here is, but you don't know what you're getting yourself into. You're really underestimating father! Hide as much as you can from him, but the moment you proceed to hit, he will put a bullet through your forehead without batting an eye!!"
"Don't forget that Eric is still around. He may not be home yet, but he and Julia are the only ones that he will ever take a moment to think about. You and I are just mere prey that he would tear apart in a split second, so if you know what's best for you, fuck off and drop that ridiculous plan of yours, because you will only fail miserably!!"
She yelled at him and proceeded to storm out of the room, but yet again, William grabbed her by the arm and stopped her on her track.
Her face clenched in anger, and she slowly turned her head to look at him with fury in her eyes.
"Take your hands of-"
"You care, don't you?" William asked in a soft voice, and Diana stiffened.
She looked at him, unable to utter a single word.
A pessimistic smile formed on William's face, and he turned around to face her.
"I know. I know what you said. But it's not going to stop me." He said to her, and a look of disgust emerged on Diana's face.
"Suit yourself, then!" She scoffed and snatched her arm away.
She gave him one last glance and stormed out of the room to hurry away from the building.
A deep sigh left William's nose and he walked towards the glass window.
He gazed through it and smiled gently on seeing her boarding a taxi that she had already flagged down.
"You're the one that needs care the most." He sighed and turned around, then stepped out of the room and shut the door behind him.
"She was here, wasn't she?"
An annoyingband familiar voice flew into his ears and he instantly flinched back in surprise.
"Julia!" He scowled and the person who was Julia chuckled mockingly.
"Surprise!"
