LILYANNA'S POV
I missed the first day of classes. It turned out that being drugged took a heavy toll on my body. I managed to email each of my professors, thankfully they were all understanding. I had problems sleeping, so I spent most of the day watching a new show called Wolves and Lovers.
~I know Una will give me so much crap for watching a spicy werewolf show…but they are just so good!~
It was finally time to go back to school. I managed to catch up on what I missed in yesterday's classes online. I got dressed and grabbed my backpack, filled with all the books and materials I needed. Una came out of her room shortly after I packed up my things. She was wearing her nursing scrubs, and bags had formed underneath her eyes. As soon as she looked up, Una walked over and embraced me.
"Hey, you're up already? Are you sure you're ok enough to go back to school? It's ok if you need to take a couple more days off."
"I'm fine Una, I promise. My headache is gone and I don't feel like I'm going to pass out anymore."
"What about mentally?"
"What? I'm not crazy Una, I promise." Una gave me a slight frown and sighed at my comment.
"That's not what I mean, Lily. You have been through so much these past six months. It's ok to not be ok."
"Honestly, Una, I don't wanna think about it right now."
"And that's fine. But please don't bottle up your emotions, it's important to let them out occasionally."
"I know."
"Hey…I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. I should have never left you alone at the party."
"Una…that was never your fault." I squeezed her tighter and she began to sob as tears fell down her cheeks. "Please don't blame yourself for what that guy did, you couldn't have known"
"I know that I just feel so guilty. I forced you to go to that stupid party when it could've got you killed."
"But it didn't, I'm right here, Una. Alive and well, please…please don't cry anymore." She looked up at me, her dark brown eyes now tinted red.
"Ok, I'll stop crying," Una let go of my hug and walked into the kitchen, she opened the fridge and grabbed a sandwich baggy and a bottle of water. She placed the baggy into my hand. It had a bagel with strawberry cream cheese inside. She also forced me to take the water bottle as well.
"Here, you're going to need to stay hydrated and I know for a fact that you haven't eaten anything yet." I gave Una a soft smile as I placed my breakfast in my backpack.
"Thank you, Una. You are always looking after me."
"Of course I am. That's what best friends are for. Did you want to drive to school together?"
"Of course, that sounds like a great idea." We walked to the car, Una took the driver's seat as I sat in the passenger's seat. It didn't take long for us to reach the campus which left me speechless. The campus was huge, with about twenty different buildings on the campus grounds. Una reached in her glove box as we parked and handed me a map of the campus.
"This should help you find your classes. Do you have your school schedule?"
"Of course I do."
"Hey, I'm just making sure. Message me when you get out of your last class ok?"
"I will promise." I stepped out of the car and waved Una goodbye. I pulled up the map to find which building my first class was in.
~It looks like my first class, Creative Writing 102, is at 10:30 am.~
I looked at my phone and realized that I had an hour before class. I found the campus's common building which had a small cafeteria. It was also connected to a small coffee shop, the school kitchen, and the school's bookstore. I ate my bagel at one of the empty tables before I had to head to class. The day was pretty uneventful so far, as I spent most of the time grabbing the syllabus and taking notes. It was finally my last class period, Literary Theory and Criticism 101 in building seven.
~Thank goodness, my last class. I can't wait till I get home.~
As I entered the classroom I noticed that some students were already taking their seats. I walked over to my professor's desk, she appeared to be running through papers muttering under her breath.
"Professor Willis," the professor glanced up from her desk and gave me a kind smile. "My name is Lilyanna White. I missed yesterday's class and I was hoping I could grab a syllabus from you."
"Ah, Miss White, I am aware of your situation. I have your syllabus right here." She took an orange sheet of paper from her desk drawer.
"Thank you, Professor Willis, if I am not mistaken I have an assignment I must do with a partner?"
"You are correct, unfortunately, you won't be able to pick your partner since the other classmates have already chosen theirs. Though, I was able to pair you with another student that also missed yesterday's class"
"Thank you, Professor."
"It's no problem," She looked back at her papers and returned to filing and stacking them.
"Um… Professor Willis?"
"Yes, Miss White?"
"Who is my partner?"
"Oh, I apologize. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body. Let me look here." She pushed in her glasses as she stared at her computer screen. "Ah, it says here that your partner will be Indigo Woods."
"I'm sorry, did you say Indigo Woods?"
"Yes," Professor Willis pulled down her glasses slightly, staring directly into my eyes."Is that a problem Miss White?"
"No," my body tensed, "Not at all Professor."
"That's great to hear, you should take a seat now. Class is about to start."
"Yes. ma'am." I took a seat at an empty table, letting out a heavy sigh as I slumped in my chair.
~Is this some kind of joke? Why is he in the same class as me? And now he's my partner?~
Suddenly I remembered what Una said at the party. That he was 'Only the most desirable man on campus'.
~Ugh, I'm so stupid! Why did I think I would never have to see him again?~
I banged my head on the table letting out a loud groan.
~What am I going to do when I see him again? What am I going to say to him?~
I heard the chair next to me drag across the carpet as I felt someone sit next to me. I was going to look up to see who it was, but I didn't need to. As soon as they sat next to me, a bolt of electricity shot up my spine in a way that made my body ecstatic. My cheeks became warm and my breath heavy.
"Hello, waterlily."
~Fuck me, why did he have to sit right here? There are so many other seats.~
I then felt him lower himself closer to the table, his breath right in my ear.
"You can't hide from me forever, waterlily." He whispered, causing my whole body to shake. My core became gradually warmer as I got hypnotized by the rhythm of his breath. He must have been able to sense my body's reaction because he let out a low growl. Causing a warm sensation to spread throughout my whole body as I became wet.
~Fuck, Fuck, Fuck! Get your shit together, you can not act this way in the middle of class!~
I lifted my head and faced Indigo, he had the biggest smirk across his face. But his eyes…his eyes looked like they were ready to devour me.
"Hi, Indigo. It's nice to see you again."
"It's nice to see you too, how are you feeling?"
"I'm…I'm great. Thanks for asking."
"No problem. I'm glad to see you healthy and more energetic."
"Alright, class!" Professor Willis stood in front of the whiteboard, "Welcome back to Literary Theory and Criticism 101. I am aware that some of my students were not here yesterday so I will go over the assignment one more time. For your final, you and your partner must pick a novel from the board and analyze it using the material you will learn throughout this class. I am giving you all semester to complete your assignment, which means I will not accept it late. Your final has to be 20,000 words long and must be turned in the last week of class. Any questions? No… alright then, let's dive back into what literary theory is."
I tried taking notes during class, but it was so hard! All this man had to do was sit there and it was like he turned me on like a light switch!
"Alright, everyone! Class is dismissed! I expect everyone to be present and on time tomorrow!"
I immediately got up as fast as I could and ran out the door. I needed to get away from Indigo. If I stayed any longer I would burst. As I got outside I texted Una, trying to regain my breath.

"Did I do something wrong, waterlily?" I looked up from my phone and found Indigo standing next to me. His eyes were filled with worry and sadness.
~Fuck me, why is this so hard?~
