After the three of them were at a cafe and ordered apple juice, Itsuki started to talk.
"Here's the story ...."
"This is about the theater behind our school. There is a terrible legend circulating that reaches the ears of the three of us. At midnight, the sound of a piano will be heard from this empty theater. People who hear the sound of the piano, then people it will be cursed." Itsuki said while putting on a serious face. So, no one would think that it was just a lie.
After all, Itsuki had also done something to Riku's memory, so that they all believed Itsuki's words and it was as if the three of them had indeed experienced it.
"That's right, Taku-chan! That's why the three of us came to the theater at night. Just to prove whether the rumors were true or not." Riku added to the story from Itsuki earlier.
Then next, Takumi could imagine what happened to them according to what Itsuki and Riku told him.
Takumi began to remember that he had indeed come to the theater at night just to satisfy his curiosity.
Takumi, Itsuki and Riku came in the middle of the night to the theater. The three of them only brought flashlights. The three of them crept into the theater. They even passed through the wall at the back of the school, so as not to be caught by the security guard who was always on guard in front of their school.
"Why did we have to run to this place in the middle of the night huh?!" Riku, the shortest of Takumi and Itsuki asked.
"Blame that Akazawa's lack of work! Why is his curiosity so high that it drags us into a tense situation like this! I must have been hypnotized to want to invite that damn Akazawa to this place!" Itsuki grumbled. He shone his flashlight around, trying to stay alert to his surroundings.
"Don't be so apologetic like that, Itsuki!" Takumi who was walking in the front answered. He paused for a moment and turned to Itsuki. "We will be cats killed by curiosity if we don't prove it ourselves," he continued.
After that, there is no more dialogue. The three of them pointed their own brand of flashlights in all directions. There is nothing in this theater but dozens of chairs and a stage at the far end of the room. On the stage, there was a shabby red curtain.
Riku and Itsuki know that behind the shabby red curtain lies an old piano, rumored to be harboring a curse all along. They knew the rumors from the members of the Supernatural Research Club. Meanwhile, Takumi rarely hangs out with students from other clubs. Takumi even only joined 2 clubs.
The three of them had arrived in front of the stairs leading to the stage. Their flashlights shone on the shabby red curtain.
"Are you sure there really is a piano in this place?" Takumi asked, trying to confirm. The reason is, they've been in this theater for a few minutes but didn't hear anything like rumors of piano sound
"Of course. Right behind that shabby red curtain, Taku-chan. One of the students from our school has heard of it." Riku replied.
"Who's the student who's heard of that, huh?!" asked Takumi again.
Hearing Takumi's question, Riku immediately looked at Itsuki. Meanwhile, Itsuki just shrugged his shoulders.
Itsuki instead leads an opinion and convinces Takumi that the rumors have really happened.
"If anyone hears the sound of that piano, they will die!" While saying this sentence, Itsuki while putting the flashlight under his chin.
Takumi and Riku even jumped to see Itsuki's scary face because of the flashlight under his chin.
"Ah so it's like that? They will die because they have been cursed." Riku concluded.
"How could there be such a thing, my friend?" Takumi still doubted his friends' words. Before Takumi can prove it himself, Takumi won't immediately believe it. That's why he came to this theater in the middle of the night like this.
"Shall we just go? Come on!"
"Itsuki's right. Let's just get out of here, Taku-chan!" Riku spoke while gripping Takumi's arm.
"I don't want to stay in this place for long!" Itsuki muttered again.
After that, Itsuki and Riku ran out of the theater. They both thought that Takumi would run behind them too. But in fact, Takumi still wants to fulfill his curiosity.
Takumi did intend to catch up with his two friends who ran outside. However, suddenly Takumi heard the sound of the piano playing. Takumi turned around and aimed the flashlight at the source of the sound.
The sound of the piano seemed to come from behind the red curtain. Takumi became even more curious. He walked slowly up some stairs to reach the stage. Takumi wanted to confirm who was playing the piano in the middle of the night like this.
Takumi drew closer to the red curtain. Just as Takumi was about to open the curtain, a hand stopped him.
"Takumi Akazawa! What are you going to do, huh?!" It's Itsuki's voice.
Takumi had not since when his friend was next to him. In fact, it was clear that Itsuki left the theater with Riku.
"I ... I kind of heard the piano sound just now, Itsuki. Someone's really playing the piano here." Takumi answered. The focus of his eyes was still on the red curtain in front of him.
Itsuki flinched at Takumi's confession. A frown was imprinted on Itsuki's forehead.
"Are you kidding me, Akazawa?"
