Georgia took River out to eat to get to know her and I figured River would rather someone else come to get her than me right now. Can you blame her? I sit at my desk looking at our family portrait thinking of what my mother would say to me if she was here or if I would even be living after what I allowed to happen to my mate. The past is very hard to forget but I need to try for River, my family, my pack, and myself. I do not know how to be a loving caring mate, or if she will even forgive me but I need to try to show her I will never hurt her again.
The maids here were omegas, but they were not mistreated like in other packs they were treated as other members in the pack and were paid fifteen dollars an hour. I made sure to rotate their days, so everyone got some weekends off. I had two of them preparing the room next to mine for their Luna, I did not know her favorite color or anything, so I described her to the ladies they smiled and said, "Do not fret Alpha, we have this handled." Finally, after Georgia notified me to wait one hour and then check my account I did just that. It read Harper Meats $508.39. What in the actual hell did they order the entire cow? I tried to mind link Georgia, but she had me blocked off. She knows how I hate when she does that.
"Alpha," "Yes Lydia," "The room is ready for you to check", "Thank you take the rest of the day off I will go look in a few she will be here shortly." "Thank you, Alpha." I organized my desk and went to her room.
As I checked out what the ladies did, I was impressed I defiantly needed to give them a tip, Georgia mind linked me that they were pulling in. I do not know why but I felt very nervous, and Blaze he was overjoyed she was here and will be as close as she will allow us.
I went to the front door to greet her, and Georgia was headed back to her car and River was standing there looking at the ground. Blaze was whimpering in my mind wanting to look into her eyes, but I explained to him she needed time. He was reluctant but he understood we could not push nor frighten her any more than I already have.
"Hello River, please come in." she did not say anything, but she obliged and when she entered, she raised her head and her beautiful green eyes were scanning the room and her surroundings. "May I show you to your room." "My room?" it was a question, and she was shocked. "Yes, your room", "sorry I figured with being mates you would demand me to be in your room, but yes. Thank you." I surprised her I hope she knows I would never demand anything from her.
We reached her room, and I opened the door for her, and her jaw dropped. The room was painted a dark grey and bordered with white trim. Her King size floating bed had white and grey covers and pillows. They hooked up green lights underneath the floating bed portrayed as a night light in the dark but mysterious in a way. she also had a large dark grey hammock egg swing. They made the room so elegant and beautiful. "So, do you like it, I did not know what colors you would like but I hope you like it." I could hear myself rambling but for some awful reason, I could not stop myself.
"Yes Bain, thank you it is beautiful," she caught me off guard and I smiled when she called me by my name. "I am glad you do. This is your place as well as mine, do as you wish if you need me since we cannot mind link, I bought you a phone as well and entered my info in there if you need anything I mean anything let me know okay." She nodded and still was looking around her room. I did not want to suffocate her, "I have to go help with the training I will see you at dinner I hope, you have your own bathroom if you want to shower and rest." I turned to leave, and she grabbed my arm and then gave me a small hug which I gladly accepted. "Thank you very much Bain, this is wonderful. I know you're wondering if I could ever forgive what happened and the answer is yes it will take time, but you were looking out for everyone here." I hugged her back gently enjoying this brief embrace. Blaze was over the moon with this slight affection she was showing and when she pulled away, I cleared my throat and began heading out the door for training, "remember text if you need absolutely anything." She smiled and it made my day and I headed off to training grounds ready to prove to her I can be the mate she wants.
