"Can I use another room?" I quickly requested. I hate the idea of Jonas' being next to my room, or rather say, I hate my excitement knowing his room is next to mine.
"No, since the other room is already occupied," Jonas answered as he entered the room. He lowered the box and looked at me intently.
"What do you mean occupied? You and uncle Alfonzo live here, and the house may have seven-room?" I respond while raising my eyebrow.
"My pack is made up of rogues, so I took them," Jonas said as if it were not essential.
"Rogues? Your pack is made of rogues?! Isn't that dangerous?" I asked in skepticism.
"They are indeed dangerous. I have to fight every one of them," Jonas explained.
I glance at Jonas Hale, my mother says he is strong, but I'm not sure how strong he was.
Perhaps the member of his pack is just a regular rogue.
If that is the case, I should not be afraid.
"Looks like you are not afraid," Jonas commented and made a step toward me.
"Do I need to be afraid? I'm sure you're subordinate will not do any harm to your sister," I emphasized the word 'sister' out of concern that Jonas might have forgotten my status in his life because the desire in his eyes is visible again.
"Huh, so you already decided to be my sister ..." Jonas exclaimed as he stopped an inch in front of me.
"Of course, I will not jeopardize the happiness of my mother," I respond firmly, but deep in my heart, I am crumbling.
Because if Jonas insists on the attraction between us, I certainly can't promise I won't give in.
But Jonas glared at me and decided to move backward, "Very well ... Then let's focus on avoiding each other since we both know the temptation is too strong," Jonas states while clenching his fists.
The disappointment was all over my face, so I decided to turn my back on Jonas, "Good, then we are settled-"
I didn't finish what I was saying when Jonas quickly pulled me to face him, "If that is good, why do your eyes say different? Tamara, you also hate the idea!" Jonas remarks.
I couldn't contradict what Jonas said, so I quickly removed his hold on me, "Please leave... I have a lot of things to do," I uttered.
But instead of listening, Jonas wraps one hand around me, and the other holds my neck, a reason for me to stare at him.
"Sure, I leave...but after this-"
My strength crumbles as soon as Jonas' lips touch mine. And like earlier, I responded with the same heat as his.
"Ahh ..." I couldn't stop a moan as Jonas' hand slid behind me and gently squeezed it.
This feeling is new to me. That's why the electricity brought by Jonas' hands makes me lose all my sanity.
"Admit, Tamara; you want my kiss and touches," Jonas whispered as his mouth slid into my ear and teasingly bit the tip of it.
I close my eyes and cling tightly to his arm.
Jonas is right. I want him so badly, and I haven't felt it with anyone ... even with David Halter!
Being preoccupied with arguing with myself, I was unaware when Jonas lifted me and laid down on the bed as his lips slid over my skin.
I was surprised as my body arched when I felt his hand enter my blouse.
"Oh, god Jonas! Please stop-"
Fortunately, I heard laughter outside the room because otherwise, something would happen to Jonas and me that I would regret afterward.
"Damn this group!" Jonas whispered, annoyed while hiding his face on my neck. For a few seconds, he remained in that position while breathing deeply.
"Jonas ..." I call again.
Without a word, Jonas stood up and, not looking as he left the room.
Closing the door, I plunged my body on the bed and stared at the ceiling, "Tamara Morningstar, what are you going to do? How can you escape your lush to Jonas Hale? Think about your mother," I preached to myself as I rolled around on the bed.
To divert my mind from Jonas, I started tidying up my room. Since my mother told me to bring important stuff, I only got a little because I'm not fond of things that women my age are obsessed with.
My mother and I also agreed to go shopping in this city since it's more convenient than bringing our belongings.
Due to being busy, I was no longer aware of the time. I was just surprised when my mom knocked on my door for dinner.
"Hmm, it looks like you are done with your belonging, but your room still looks manly,"
I frowned at my mom as I shook my head, "Mom, I'm happy in the room, so don't do anything without my consent," my remarks since my mother tends to meddle in everything.
"Anyway, Jonas will take care of the rest of your needs. I talked to him earlier, and he agrees to accompany you shopping,"
Unbelievably, I stared at my mother. How can I avoid Jonas if my mother herself is giving us a chance to be together? But since I can't voice it- I'm just secretly sighing.
When my mother and I went down, we immediately met three men who I estimated were only a few years older than me.
"Well, Lolita didn't lie when she said to me that her daughter is charming!" Alfonzo remarks as he approaches us. He came to the other part of the house.
"Hmm, thank you for the compliment, uncle. It was nice to finally meet you," I respond with a broad smile.
"Hmm, Alfonzo, don't be deceived with Tamara's smile. I'm sure she has already prepared a dozen of questions,"
"Don't worry, love. I'm already prepared for Tamara, but it would be best to talk while eating," Alfonzo suggested.
"Uncle, you forgot to introduce us!" one of the three guys exclaimed as we headed to the kitchen.
"Tamara, meet Jonas, pack member. The guy in your back is Tito, on your left is Vic, and the last is Joey. They also leave here since they don't have a house yet," Alfonzo explained.
"This is great! It's sad to live in a house that only a few people live in, right, Tamara?" I nodded to my mother's remarks.
"Anyway, where are Jonas and Elija?" Alfonzo asked as soon as we sat at the table.
"Our alpha is in range, so Elija accompanied him to the woods," Joey responds.
"What's wrong with your Alpha?"
"Not sure what makes his range, but as we arrived earlier, Jonas' already in the mood to kill,"
Since I knew why Jonas acted like that, I decided to bow while eating.
