Tamara POV.
I inquired as to what he was alluding to, but Jonas kept his mouth shut, which caused me to reflect even more on what he was getting at.
"I need to talk to my wolf later because this sense of not understanding what is going on is making me feel terrible about things I don't even remember doing," I say to myself before turning my attention to the surroundings.
"Wow, an underground market?" I was mesmerized by the brilliant surroundings that had taken me by surprise. You'd never guess it was underground.
"What, don't tell me you've never seen anything like this before?" Jonas responded while putting his motorcycle in the garage.
"Does it count as a sin if I say this is my first time?" I confessed, disregarding Jonas's grin and instead concentrating my gaze around the area.
"Hmm, you'll be able to view the place better if you take this off," Jonas commented as he took the helmet off my head, which I had forgotten about.
"Thank you," I replied as I took a step back to distance myself from him, causing Jonas to raise his brows.
"Aunt Lolita and my father are also present, although they are currently attending a conference." So let's go out and get the supplies you'll need before we meet with them," Jonas says as we walk into the establishment.
"Meeting? To whom and for what?" I inquired because my mother did not say anything to me, and I was unsure of what was going on with her.
"You have the opportunity to question them on your own," Jonas said, which caused me to scowl in his direction.
"Gees, if you have the knowledge, you can reveal to me the answer," I said quietly, trying not to say anything out loud.
Jonas walked into a women's clothing store, and to my surprise, he stopped at the lingerie section, which caused me to blush.
With an arm crossed across his chest, Jonas demands, "Go on, pick some of those before we move on to another section."
"Jonas, could you just wait outside for me?" I glare at him while pushing him to the other corner, away from the crowd.
To add to my dismay, Jonas declared, "Tamara, I'm not interested in lingerie; I'm prepared to see you naked." This made me even more agitated.
I decided to turn around and speed up my choices to avoid Jonas' mocking.
After a few minutes of searching, I returned to Jonas with the products I had chosen, knowing that Jonas would pay for everything he needed at the cashier.
(Really? What is it with all the young ladies in this town?) I made a remark when I noticed Jonas flirting with the two sales ladies.
"Hey, are you finished yet?" Jonas inquired as soon as he laid eyes on me.
"Yeah, if you're too busy, just give me the bill, and I'll continue my shopping on my own," I say sneeringly in response.
"See, I told you both... my sister would be furious if she found out I was talking to ladies," Jonas said, putting his arm around my shoulder with a smile on his face.
"I am not! What-"
"We'll go ahead," Jonas adds, virtually dragging me out for a walk.
-----
By the time we finished our shopping, it was three o'clock, and I was already hungry. On the other hand, Jonas appears to have no intention of eating.
"Hey, are we still here-"
"Not yet, because my father hasn't returned my calls until now; he said we'd eat together," Jonas said, picking up the phone to contact uncle Alfonzo.
As I looked at my wristwatch, I reasoned, "Perhaps they have already left."
"I don't think so. Our parents are planning to buy aunt Lolita's gown. That is why they also want us there," Jonas explained.
After several calls and still no answer, Jonas and I decided to go where our parents were. Because we ride a motorcycle, we chose to leave all of our shopping bags with a security guard.
"Are they in danger?" I asked before I hopped in.
My father is meeting with the Blue Moon Pack, and they are calling for unity. But I have a strong suspicion that they have other plans," Jonas says, his voice rising in pitch as he is furiously angered.
"If uncle Alfonzo wasn't sure, why did he take my mother ?!" I asked incredulously.
In defense of his father, Jonas says, "Your mother knew the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack, so she came along, and for the record- your mother insisted on coming, even though my father didn't want her to."
-----
After a few minutes of riding Jonas' motorcycle, we arrive at our parents' location. It was a mansion with a massive fence around it, so we had no way of seeing inside.
"Are you certain that this is the correct location?" I inquired of Jonas as he parked his motorcycle on the shoulder of the highway.
"Yes, my father sent the address to me earlier," Jonas responded to the question.
"Maybe we should call the others," I suggested and looked at Jonas.
'You wait here, and I'll come in by myself,' Jonas says as he glances at me with a grim expression. I was worried because Jonas' aura had changed in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. Jonas looks like he will slaughter a whole town.
"No way, I will stay behind! I'm coming!" I respond and chase Jonas, who is now walking in the gate.
Jonas repeatedly rang the doorbell of the house until a guard opened it.
"Hey! What exactly do you think you're doing?! "Do you have any idea who owns this property?" The guard state causes me to lose my cool.
"Perhaps you're unaware of who we are as well! We are Alfonzo Hale and Lolita Morningstar's children!" I declared while raising my forehead.
The guard was clearly taken aback when he heard our name, and he directed his attention directly to Jonas, who remained calm but with his fist clenched.
"I don't give a damn about who your folks are! "Get out of here!" As soon as he recovered from his amazement, the guard shouted and pulled the gate closed.
But Jonas was quick to respond, blocking the gate with one hand and declaring, "This is my town, and I don't care who owns this property!"
