Chapter 1 - Ch.1

Paimon

"You know your brother won't allow it." My friend, Aosoth, casually said as if I hadn't just told her I wanted to go up to Earth.

"You do realize what I just said, right?" I sat down next to her on my bed.

She nodded and finished doing her nails. I don't know why I bother taking to her. She doesn't listen.

"I do listen. It's just a stupid idea." Aosoth put the cap back on the bottle and turned to face me.

"You've been saying this for years. That's why I'm not paying attention. You are gonna get yourself and your hopes up and the minute you see your brother, you're gonna pussy out." She smiled sweetly and I glared at her.

She was right. I have said this a few times... and maybe every time i didn't follow through. But it was a different story. I was older and honestly my brother didn't scare me anymore.

"You're wrong. I'm going to do it this time. And while I'm on Earth, feeding off of fresh humans and enjoying exotic drinks and human food, you'll be down here. Eating the same Goat and Lamb dishes, 3 times a day." I shook my head and stood, stretching.

"Whatever. I'll see you Friday?" Aosoth smiled and walked towards the door, just as it swung open.

My brother, The Devil himself, entered.

"Aosoth. You look lovely." Lucifer smiled down at Aosoth, which sent heat to her cheeks.

"Thank you Sir. You look lovely as well." Aosoth bowed and left the room.

My brother, better known as Satan, smirked and turned to me.

"What a charming girl. Why aren't you with her yet?" He walked deeper into the room and took a seat at my desk.

I hated when anyone, with the exception of Aosoth, was in my room. Although having to live in the Castle, I always had maids or servants in here. Sometimes during the events we host, a few guests will sneak in here with a succubus.

I shuttered at the thought of such disgusting things happening in my bed. I've ordered around 14 new beds this year...Why can't people respect boundaries?

"Aosoth deserves better then the both of us combined. So keep your hands off and leave her alone." I crossed my arms and glared at him.

Lucifer threw his hands up in defense,"I'm not interested in a relationship anyway."

"Which is exactly why I said keep your dirty hands off of her. She isn't some toy you can use and abuse over and over." I checked my watch, the next boat to the portal was due soon.

"Alright. I'll consider it,but if she comes on-"

"If she comes on to you, Big if by the way, you're going to pretend you're a decent guy and decline her. Politely." I smiled and he nodded.

If I was anyone else in the kingdom, I'd be headless.

"I came in here to ask if you are going to attend the festival tomorrow? There will be tons of Succubus." Lucifer winked and I felt bile rising up my throat. I hated casual sex. Which is what made me a shitty demon. I'd never be a ruler or a leader of any kind.

Wanting love or anything of the sort was a sign of weakness. Our parents weren't in love, which supposedly made my father an excellent leader.

I think the opposite. I'd want my children to have loving parents. And I'd want a significant other who loves me. I'd better myself for them and for my people.

"It's at the Castle, so I really have no choice." I shook my head.

"Good! I have a wonderful demoness, who's eager to have children and get married." Lucifer stood and clasped a hand on my shoulder.

"That's great. I'll meet her tomorrow then." I faked a smiled and removed his hand from my shoulder.

"Ill see you for dinner then." Lucifer sent one last smile my way before exiting my room.

What a prick.

————————————

"Paimon!" Thanatos, one of my best friends, greeted me with a boney smile.

Thanatos was what Humans referred to as the Grim Reaper. Sure he took the souls of sinners and escorted them into the circles of hell, but he was as sweet as a puppy.

"Hey Than. How's it going?" I smiled and extended my hand, which I regret because he pulled me into a cold what he called a 'Bro Hug'? He was a weird one.

Thanatos wasn't what the stories made him out to be, appearance wise. He was definitely still boney, but he had a skin and blood and facial features.

He had black eyes and black hair. He was taller then the average human, he was around 6'7ft tall.

"I'm wonderful. I've missed you my man!" He smiled and we walked towards his paddle boat, only way to get to the portal.

I returned the smile,"I need a favor." I said bluntly.

"I figured as much. Ride to the portal?" Thanatos pushes the boat into the shallow end of the water.

"How'd you know?" I cocked an eyebrow at him.

"You would have came to the kingdom of death if you wanted to hangout."

I raised my eyebrow higher and crossed my arms.

"Okay maybe Aosoth told me you'd be coming by today. And maybe she mentioned you might need help to the portal." He scratched the back of his neck, causing a scratch to form. He was so fragile, yet so tough. I admired him.

"I'm going to kill that girl." I said through grated teeth.

"Too bad you won't have the chance. We need to go now. Someone just passed away in a small town in Maine. I can take you there unless you have somewhere else in mind?" Thanatos hopped into the boat, I shook my head and followed.

It took about 25 minutes to reach the portal. The creatures in the blood sea must've been riled up about something. The waves were enormous and it was hard to get through them safely.

"Why is Paimon with you?" The keeper of the portal glared at Thanatos and didn't bother to look in my direction.

"Satan assigned him to watch over me today. Check in on my work tactics." Thanatos stood from the boat and I did too.

"Humans have been reporting seeing a demonic creature and it could compromise Hell." I shook my head and shot a fake glare at Thanatos who quickly looked away.

"Well, enjoy your time today Sir. The portal will be inactive till tomorrow evening." The portal keeper castes a spell which opened the now glowing red portal.

"Waterville Maine." Thanatos spoke to the portal and walked in. I nodded to the keeper and walked in as well.

Soon enough, I was standing knee deep in a body of water, with wide eyes watching me.
