Al tried to sleep but it prove futile because of the noise the old people were making. He got tired of it and stood up to go and tell them how they are disturbing the household.
Few steps to their door he met Jules.
"Hey," Jules said.
"They are disturbing you too right," Al said.
"Of course... My room is in the house. Although now am wishing otherwise." Jules mumbled which made Al smile.
"I will tell them to keep it down." He suggested.
"I've already done that and it didn't get me anywhere," Jules said.
"So do we do now?" Al enquired as he looked thoughtful.
"Apart from pleading with them I can't think of anything," Jules said.
"Wait. How about we choke them to sleep." Al look as if he had discovered something great.
"You think it's a good idea. " Jules questioned him.
"It's three against two. Not forgetting the fact that they may be old but they are strong. And I can't choke one of them out. Rather we will be the ones who will end up choked out." Jules pointed out.
"So it is a bad idea.?" Al asked and Jules nodded.
"Couldn't you just say that?" Al said annoyed.
"It felt great pointing out your mistakes." Jules smiled.
"Well, the only way to stop this is to have the sleep," Al said thoughtfully.
"Wait...you are on to something," Jules said.
"What?" Al enquired.
"We can just add sleeping tabs to their water and they will sleep in less than 15 minutes," Jules suggested.
"Good plan. Nice work." Al commended her.
"Now let's get to work."
Jules went for the sleeping tab from her room and went to the kitchen where Al had the glasses of water ready. They dropped one tab each into the glass and asked for a maid to send it to their room.
They shook hands when they were done. Now it was left with them to drink the water.
They sat on the chairs in the kitchen waiting for results before they retard to bed.
"So are you okay, with the idea of spending the rest of your life with me?" Jules brought the topic up and Al smiled.
"Who talked of spending my whole life?" Al raised an eyebrow.
"So the what?" Jules questioned and Al explained his plan to her leaving the part where he gains more money.
'It's not like she will even care about it.' Al thought.
"I see." Jules nodded and there was silence again. After some minutes Jules smiled at Al.
"What?" He questioned frowning his eyebrow.
"There are asleep." Jules drew his attention to the breeze of quietness that swept over the house.
"Hah..." Al took in a deep breath.
"You can go to bed now," Al told her.
"Where are you going to?" Jules asked.
"Going for the glasses. Otherwise, if they wake up they might suspect." Al pointed out.
"Okay, then. Goodnight." Jules smiled.
"Sweet dreams," Al said as he went to do his job.
Al slept immediately he touched the bed while Jules thought bout Al's plan.
"Good morning everyone." Al greeted them when he got to the dining table.
"Morning, son." Grey smiled at him while the rest didn't mind him. He took his seat and began to serve himself.
"How was your night," Al asked the old people.
"It was fun but what I don't understand is why we slept all of a sudden." Old Grey said which made Jules and Al chuckle.
"Perhaps you were tired." Al smiled.
"Perhaps we were drugged 'cause we all slept at the same time." Butler Sam pointed out. He looked so tired.
"There's no way that is possible, perhaps old people sleep at the same time," Al said and there was a little silence as they went back to concentrating on their food.
"Dear wife, why are you not eating? Don't you have an appetite for this food?" Al asked when he noticed she has not touched her food.
"Wife, should I ask them to prepare something for you?" Al asked with a serious face that caused a little laughter.
"Will you stop calling her your wife, 'cause she's not?" Louis warned.
"But she will be very soon." Al smiled.
"Why don't we eat in silence and discuss this later." Old Grey suggested.
There was complete silence after that.
After breakfast, Al went into his room.
"Son..." Grey knocked on Al's door 30 minutes after he went to his room.
"What's it?"
"Austin is in, you need to come downstairs."
"Okay, I will be there in a minute," Al said.
