Carefully entering the building with no sisters around apart from children playing around here and there, Hubert and Valeria headed for the library. Sitting close to each other, Hubert placed a big book on the table before opening it.
"Do you believe in witches Val?"
She shook her head at his question as she stared intently at the book in front of her.
"But you believe in God?"
"Of course."
"So why then is it heard for you to believe in witches?" He asked and Valeria snapped her head at him in awe and she smiled.
"Because they are not real."
"Then why does God have servants like the nun to do his work for him in rebuking witches and demons?" He stopped flipping the pages and gave her a nonchalant look. Feeling trapped, she defended herself.
" Demons are common, not witches..." He interrupted her.
"Good." She frowned at his response.
"What do you mean by good?"
"Because you said it yourself, demons are COMMON and witches are not which simply means you agree with me." She frowned at his stressed word.
"I didn't say that."
"Yes you did Val. You said witches aren't common which means they are around but don't come out." Her eyes widened at his statement.
"So where are they? In the woods? Do they have flying brooms and long nose with..."
Hubert interrupted her yet again.
"No Val, don't say that. Those are mere children stories, they are normal and beautiful."
"How do you know then?" Valeria backfired and Hubert was amazed at her question before laughing.
"Such a cute little fellow." He squeezed her cheek lightly and she swatted his hand away as she raised a brow at him.
"Now look here, there are different kinds of witches, black witches, dark witches, white witches, demon witches and most of all pureblooded witches."
"Pureblooded?" She asked curiously.
"Yes, they are a special kind, they are very good and immune to holy water and the rest, they can blend in."
"Really? That's awesome, do they have magic powers?"
"They do, what witch wouldn't? Just like white witches, they have elemental abilities. White witches have one elemental ability but pureblood can posses two among the four."
"And what are the elements Hubert?"
"Fire, water, earth and wind." Valeria was fascinated and in awe at his knowledge.
"Apart from that, they have other magic powers, though they cast it as spells."
"You really are amazing Hubert, first you know about demons and witches, so what else will you tell me about?" He giggled at her praises.
"Do you want to become a reverend father like reverend Matthew?"
"No I don't Val, but am telling you this for a reason, because our world is extraordinary than you think."
