Jane waited for hours but Shaun was nowhere to be seen. Jane was angry that he ditched her without any notice. He could at least text me she was thinking. She got up and went to her car. She started driving to her house but she suddenly changed the direction and started driving to Shaun's house.
"The least you can do is call. Just wait." She was talking to herself in the car.
She arrived but she was afraid to get out of the car because it was too quiet and dark. She tried calling Shaun several times but he didn't pick up. She waited in her car for Shaun to come turning off the engine and lights. But then suddenly she heard a sound from behind. She turned around slowly her face turned pale and she started shivering. She saw a big gray wolf coming and walking towards the house. The wolf turned to the back side of the house but she could see everything. The wolf suddenly turned to human anyone who knows him could recognize it was Shaun. She got out of the car and he heard the sound of her getting out. Shaun was shocked the moment he met Jane's eyes he ceased any movement like a statue. Unlike his expression Jane's expression was quite relaxed without hardened facials. They stood looking at each other for a long time.
"Jane." Shaun was very careful not to shock her.
"Shall we talk inside? It is cold out here." Jane answered to Shaun's surprise and she looked very calm. How can she he couldn't understand at all.
He made her tea to warm herself up and to calm herself even though he didn't see any signs of anxiousness or disturbance.
"That explains all the books in the library, you got sick twice on the night of the full moon." Jane started talking.
"Look, Jane. I know that you are shocked. I would prefer it if you would ran away from me." Shaun tried to explain but he was confused by her reaction.
"I am not shocked, well I was shocked the first time I saw you."
"What do you mean, last time?" Shaun was more confused than Jane.
"The time you were sick and I drove you home, remember? I was about to leave after you got in but then I suddenly heard a howl coming from inside of the house. I was scared so I waited in my car for few minutes and then I saw a big wolf coming out of your house. And I also saw that wolf shifting to human after few hours." Jane knew from the start even before she asked him out that he was a werewolf.
Shaun stared at her speechless.
"That was way before we started going out. You knew what I was."
"Does that really matter now?" Jane asked him.
"It matters a lot, Jane. I deceived you."
"You didn't because I already knew. Do you think deceiving me matters more or you being a werewolf?" They were both quiet again. "I was worried because you didn't come without any contact."
"My mom, I think she left this town. I have been looking for her for hours but I couldn't find her."
"What do you mean?"
"We had few disputes on the last days and we haven't had a proper conversation. And then she suddenly said she wanted to go on a trip. I said to her we will talk later but she already left when I got back home."
"She could have gone to refresh her mind. Why is that a big deal? And do you think your mom is a child to leave the house because you guys had few disputes."
"She have never done that before. This doesn't feel good."
"Don't worry. I am sure she is just tired of all this a need a little time to let the steam off."
"I should go. Let's talk tomorrow plus I have a lot to ask you about." Jane grabbed her keys.
"I will drive you." He went out with her.
"How can you accept this situation as if it is nothing?" Shaun kept stealing glances being wary of Jane.
"I wouldn't lie. I had nightmares for the first few days."
"So you believe in supernatural beings."
"I keep an open mind."
