It's been a week since that day. Doing his lecture now was better than the first day but he had something bugging on his mind. For five days now, not once he came across Camellia. He didn't want to admit it, but he himself didn't know the reason why he was expecting to meet her anywhere around the campus. Was it out of concern regarding the stalker thing? Or did he feel bad because of him being rude to her on the first day they met?
Walking on the hallway to go to his parking lot, he saw a girl that looked like Camellia about three lots from his car. To make it obvious that he tried to catch her up, he strode wider instead of faster but then stopped and realised something was different. Her hair, which was longer before, probably passed three to four centimetres over her shoulders but this time it was shorter, barely touching her shoulders.
'Maybe that is not her.' he thought, thinking to turn and went straight to his car before he heard her voice.
"No, nothing happened. It's just that I wanted to change my hair style. How is it?" She spoke to the man in front of her while wiggling her hair.
"Don't lie, it's not like I just met you. You love your hair and to cut it this short…" The man touched the end of the hair, "Did she do it? Do you want me to go and kick her a**?"
"No Noah, I told you, it's just me. Trying to go with something different." She was still trying to make him believe what she said.
Alexander slowed his movement and listened to the conversation.
"Noah?" He didn't realise his right brow was slightly cocked and he became tense.
"If you want to change the style, you should get rid of this bang." Their conversation continued as Noah messed up her bang.
"Hello…! This is my signature, the Bang's goddess." She ended up with a loud and boisterous laugh, laughing at her own joke. That was true though, if someone wanted to describe her, they would say something related to her bang.
Alexander smiled! It was either her joke or her laugh that made him smile! Couldn't believe himself, he snapped out of it. He thought he went crazy for a second before deciding to stop eavesdropping on their conversation and went straight to his car.
Did not miss to take a peek at her while walking, he did wish that she would turn and saw that he was walking behind her. Sadly, until he reached his car, she was still excited talking with Noah, who Alexander thought might be his boyfriend. From man's eyes, he could see how different Noah's gaze was on Camellia.
"What are you doing?!" The sound of Noah yelling could be heard when he just wanted to enter the car. Immediately stepped out from the car, he took a look over there where they were talking just now.
His eyes showed curiosity as he saw one more person there. Alexander didn't know what happened just now, but he could guess as he saw Camellia holding her cheek.
"Don't interfere!" The girl that looked tall because of her high heel yelled back at Noah when he stood in front of Camellia.
"What right do you have to slap her face?!" He couldn't accept this, he didn't care if people thought he was a coward. He was ready to slap her back when he felt his arm being held.
"It's okay, I'm fine." Half whispered, she tried to calm him down.
He was in disbelief, "What is fine with that?" He removed her hand from her cheek and saw the faint red on it. Sighing, he glared at the girl, "You better walk away from here Christie before I lose my mind…"
The girl snickered, "Hello….! Look here…here…here." She snapped her fingers to make Noah pay attention to her before crossing her arms over her tummy, "Do I look like I care?"
Her look was so irritating that she might get punched any second but fortunately, Camellia made sure that wouldn't happen. She pulled Noah away from there.
"Who says you can go? I'm not done with you!" Christie pulled Camellia hard.
"I don't want to argue here…" She murmured the words as she withdrew her hand from Christie's grip. She looked around and breathed a sigh of relief when the parking lot was quite empty.
Alexander didn't know why, he ducked when Camellia turned just now. In his mind, he didn't think she would feel great when she knew someone saw what happened just now. That was such a humiliating scene.
"You tell your dad, right?"
"So?" Camellia asked back, didn't give her the answer that she wanted.
"Do you think your incompetent dad could help you?" She started mocking things. That was her favourite's words, incompetent dad!
"Don't start…" Her voice was low but sounded like a warning.
"So what? I needed to remind you once again because your stupid brain couldn't keep it well…" She poked at Camellia's temple and carried one with her words, "You! you need to remember that what you and your dad have right now are all because of us, I could just say my words and my mom will kick you out this instant!"
"Hello Miss Christie, then should I remind you that, at that time, your mom's company was on the brink of bankruptcy." This arrogant girl needed to be put in her place, she thought the world revolved around her.
"Your dad has nothing! My mom picked him up until your good for nothing dad could live a better life now."
"Pardon me, you and your mom could live a better life right now because of my dad's help." She didn't want to explain the situation, the money that his dad got from Alexander's family was what he used to save the company from failure. Even when she explained thousand time, being stupid was Christie's specialty and she chose to not understand anything.
"Do you want me to just make you bald?" Christie provoke, she cut Camellia's hair two days ago when she fell asleep and made her absent from class yesterday just to fix her messy hair that was cut carelessly by her.
"I think it suits you better than me." Camellia pulled her hair right after she uttered the words.
Noah at her side gasped in awe. He knew she's not weak but living in this kind of environment was sure to be stressful for her. So, he decided to just be the watcher by the sideline.
Not back off, Christie fought back by pulling her hair too. Seeing the tense situation, Alexander didn't think he should just be an observer. He moved towards them and fastened his steps when he saw Christie take off her heel.
As if promised, Alexander and Noah caught Christie's hand that was trying to hit Camellia's head with the heel.
Shocked with the sudden stop, Christie yelled to the top of her lung, "And who the hell are you?!"
Alexander didn't answer, instead he glanced at Camellia that was on his left. She was quiet, maybe she was still shocked when the heel almost hit her.
"Thank you sir," Noah thanked him and checked on Camellia straight away, "You're okay right?"
Christie's expression changed when she got on her right mind and saw the man that was standing in front of him. The man appeared cold but at the same time looked hot.
'So this type of man does exist?' Her eyes blinking as she thought of that.
"I'm sorry sir, I don't want you to misunderstand me, but this girl here. She started it first. I could explain further but first may I know who you are sir?" Her tone changed in a split second.
Christie's audacity to lie right in her face made Camellia laugh in disdain.
"Maybe you want to introduce me?" Alexander said all of a sudden.
"Introduce you what?" The frowning on her forehead was so obvious. It was not because she was confused with his words, but her heart was so mad and annoyed right now she just wanted to get angry at someone.
Alexander was startled by her reply, he expected her to use him as her saviour once again and introduce him as her fiancé. Confused, he looked at Noah, then at Christie who was waiting for the answer then looked back at Camellia.
Camellia sent him a glare before leaving all of them there with confusion on their faces.
