[U have the talent card [genius of magic (SSS-grade)] in your possession, would you like to synchronize with it?]
When this message appeared, he felt extremely exited and of course curious.
Because the only thing that the person in his previous live didn't tell the public, where the effects of the card, the one thing he did tell everyone is that the effects are insane.
Before his thoughts could drift any further, he confirmed the synchronization.
"yes, synchronize with it"
[synchronizing with the talent [genius of magic (SSS-grade)] this may take a couple of second.]
After about 5 second he heard another message.
[synchronizing complete you may now open your status screen by thinking or saying it out loud.]
Normally he would just think it because saying it was too much work but for such an important moment, he couldn't help but say it out loud.
"STATUS!"
Then the all to familiar screen came up in frond of him but this time a lot better.

"What 3 [S-grade] passives, this talent is insane"
Before he could gape any more at his status, he focused on his talent so he could see a more detailed explanation.
----------------------------------
[genius of magic (SSS-grade)]
-Decreases cast time by 90%
-Decreases mana needed for casting by 20%

Description: A talent that can bring even the worst magician to the top of the magic world.
----------------------------------
Before he could even read the whole thing, another message came up.
[Player Oliver Smith has gained the right to choose 2 affinities that will be greatly increased, please make your chose.]
[List of available elements: [Fire][Water][Air][Earth][Lava][Ice][Lightning]….]
The moment the list appeared he was stunned, he already had a plan to increase one of his elemental affinities, but that was only a miner increase, nothing in comparison to the great increase that's given here.
Great increase was generally between 75-100% if you know that only 1 out of 5 people have any elemental affinities and that those are between 0-60%, this increase is insane.
Since he was already planning on increasing his affinities, he naturally knew what affinities he wanted.
His first choice was the affinity [Space] because of its excellent use in defense and for miscellaneous things like teleportation.
His second choice was the affinity [Lightning] because it has the strongest destructive power of all the elements.
[Choice confirmed player Oliver Smith will get a great increase in [Space] and [Lightning] affinities.]
After that was settled, he looked at his new passive skills.
----------------------------------
[silent cast (S-grade)]
Description: The caster will gain the ability to preform any spell without having to say the name out loud.
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
[multicast (S-grade)]
Description: With this skill you can cast +3 spells at the same time.
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
[meditate (S-grade)]
Description: gives you an extra (1+1*magic affinity %) to your max mana for every 30 minutes you circulate your mana in your body.
----------------------------------
After looking through everything for nearly 2 hours he felt truly blest.
Never would he have dared to imagen that an [SSS-grade] talent would be this insane.
It was truly worth of being called the [genius of magic] talent.
Now that he had a good grasp on his talent the next stop should be an obelisk, from which the first one should be appearing in exactly 7 days, at least that is when it was discovered.
Luckily this was not that far from here, you could get there by car in around 3 hours, so he decided to take a taxi there now before even more chaos broke out when everyone started hearing about what these cards could do, he set out on his journey.
"I was quite stressed for the test of the obelisk but with time and the meditate skill that should be a piece of cake"
After arriving at yet another grass field he yet again set up his tent and started using the skill [meditate (S-grade)] for around 18 hours a day for the following 6 days until he felt a strange energy coming from outside.
Before touching the obelisk, he took 1 last look at his status.

Strength: 10
Agility: 10

Stamina: 10
Defense: 0
Luck: 5
Magic affinity: 166
Elemental affinity: [Lightning- 87%] [Space- 83%]
Talent: [genius of magic (SSS-grade)]
SKILLS:
-Passive: [silent cast (S-grade)] [multicast (S-grade)] [meditate (S-grade)]
-Active: /
----------------------------------
"with this amount of mana, it should be quite easy to get a high class and race"
The obelisk he in front of him was the [human] obelisk which means that it contains the race human even though humans are weak, they have incredible potential up to the [S-grade], the same max rank as the more Nobel races like dragons or elementals the only difference is that humans start as the lowest rank of them all, while dragons start as [B-grade].
That doesn't really matter because [S-grade] humans have a trade he needs.
The class you get isn't predetermined like talent or race it can be freely chosen before starting the test in the obelisk.
Taking all of this into consideration he touched the obelisk.
[you have discovered an obelisk type [human] would you like to enter?]
without any hesitation Oliver replied.
"Yes"
He was a little nervous because no mater what rase or class you choose the main benefit comes from its rank the higher the rank the higher your growth per level, the division goes like this.
[S-grade] class: all stats growth + 10
Class specific stats growth + 15
[A-grade] class: all stats growth + 7
Class specific stats growth + 10
[B-grade] class: all stats growth + 6
Class specific stats growth + 8
[C-grade] class: all stats growth + 5
Class specific stats growth + 7
[D-grade] class: all stats growth + 3
Class specific stats growth + 4
[E-grade] class: all stats growth + 2
Class specific stats growth + 3
[F-grade] class: all stats growth + 1
Class specific stats growth + 2
And the same goes for race.
[S-grade] race: free attribute points per level + 10
[A-grade] race: free attribute points per level + 8
[B-grade] race: free attribute points per level + 7
[C-grade] race: free attribute points per level + 6
[D-grade] race: free attribute points per level + 5
[E-grade] race: free attribute points per level + 4
[F-grade] race: free attribute points per level + 3
There are other ways to increase your growth but getting a better class and race are the easiest once.
A second after he said yes, Oliver got teleported to a word avoid of color, everything was black, and the floor looked like water, that same water gave of a faint glow through which he can see.
[before we begin the test please select your class]
Then a list of classes popped up.
[warrior]
[mage]
[assassin]
[priest]
[ranger]
[berserker]
[tank]
[summoner]
Of course, Oliver instantly selected the [mage].
[you have chosen the class mage, to make the test fair you have been given [magic missile (F-grade) (1)]]
----------------------------------
[magic missile (F-grade) (1)]
Description: shoots a missile mad out of magic at your opponent at moderate speed that does (100 +intelligence) damage.
Cast time:1 sec
Cost: 8 mana
LVL:1
----------------------------------
It is a quit a good beginner skill the only downside is the long cast time switch for him naturally isn't a problem with his -90% cast speed.
The skill also has terrible magic scaling, so it becomes obsolete rather quickly.
After he got the skill a message appeared.
[phase 1 of the test will begin shortly.]
A few seconds later he could see a green little creature around 20 meters away from him and he also got another notification.
----------------------------------
[Goblin]
LVL: [1]
Health [150/150]
Mana [50/50]
Strength: 13
Agility: 15
Intelligence: 5
Dexterity: 15
Stamina: 8
----------------------------------
Normally you would only be able to get this info when you used an identification skill but for the first fight against a monster, they gave you a freebee.
Even though the info isn't complete, this is better than nothing.
After he was done looking though the goblins information, he noticed that it started running towards him, so he fired [F-magic missile (1)] at it.
As it hit, the goblin got pushed back and there appeared a box above its head.
[-110]
Oliver quickly fired another [magic missile (F-grade) (1)] and killing the goblin.
[phase 1 completed, you gained +1 upgrade point, the next phase will start shortly.]
In the few seconds before the second phase began, he prepared 4 [magic missile (F-grade) (1)] with the help of his [multicast (S-grade)] holding them in place waiting for the goblins.
When the second phase started 2 goblins appeared, the second they did Olive shot 2 [[magic missile (F-grade) (1)] at each of them.
Immediately 2 boxes appeared above each of their heads.
[-110]
[-110]
Killing them instantly.
This simple cycle continued until phase 10 where the goblins leveled up.
----------------------------------
[Goblin]
LVL: [3]
Health [170/170]
Mana [70/70]
Strength: 17
Agility: 17
Intelligence: 7
Dexterity: 17
Stamina: 8
----------------------------------
Now these 10 LVL [3] where some getting use to, after all before this he barely had to move but now, he had to use his insight as a veteran fighter to evade the goblins attacks.
He continued to use this strategy until the last phase, phase 14 where he encountered a single hobgoblin.
----------------------------------
[Hobgoblin]
LVL: [5]
Health [600/600]
Mana [80/80]
Strength: 56
Agility: 20
Intelligence: 8
Dexterity: 60
Stamina: 15
----------------------------------
For most people the hobgoblin would be a bigger problem than the 13 little goblins but for a class like the mage this was a relatively easy opponent, if you could take advantage of its low intelligence and rough fighting style.
The only disadvantage mages have against Hobgoblins is that their relatively resistant against normal non elemental magic, if I remember correctly It should have been a 50% resistance.
So, with these characteristics in mind Oliver shot his first 4 [magic missile (F-grade) (1)]'s at the Hobgoblin.
[-220]
With 1/3 of his HP gone and being completely blinded by the missiles the Hobgoblin arrived were Oliver was standing but unfortunate for him Oliver was already long gone, in his confusion the Hobgoblin got hit again.
[-220]
Now that he was nearly dead the Hobgoblin was in a rage by being played around with, so it rushed with all its might to Oliver who didn't have enough time to make the same escape as last time.
With nowhere to go Oliver took the gamble and started casting 4 more [magic missile (F-grade) (1)]'s hoping they would hit the Hobgoblin before he would hit Oliver.
Just as the Hobgoblins blade was about to crack open Oliver's skull-
[-220]
[the skill [magic missile (F-grade) (1)] leveled up to level 2]
[congratulations on completing the 14th (and last) phase of the test, you gained +1 upgrade point]
