As Raizen left the shop, he met a familiar individual. It was precisely that Crimson King who challenged him.
'What does he want now? Humans are such pestering creatures' Raizen thought, sighing.
'But that's what makes them interesting and that's why they have come a long way' Raizen laughed.
"Brother Zen, I wish to invite you with me to clear the dungeon" Crimson King said while bowing a bit. He wanted to observe this player more if possible and learn from him.
"Oh..ok. Tell me when you go to this dungeon" Raizen said, surprised that this guy is very well mannered even if he was humiliated badly.
"I will add you as a friend and I will message you when it's time. I still need to go and look for a suitable weapon" Crimson King said.
"Yeah, you still need a good weapon" Raizen said shamelessly. At this time he got a friend request from Crimson King and he naturally accepted it.
Before leaving Crimson King asked one more question "Brother what do you mean my spear is too forceful and predictive?"
"Figure it out by yourself or else where's the fun?" Raizen smiled mysteriously.
Crimson King reluctantly looked at Raizen for a while but eventually left. After taking a few steps he suddenly turned, remembering something.
"Ah, brother, the dungeon's minimum entry level is 9. So, try to get to level seven as soon as possible" saying this Crimson King left, not bothering Raizen anymore.
'Haha, a good lad, polite and not very arrogant. Rare for people his age' Raizen thought.
Raizen looked at the spear he bought, thinking about what he should do next. He is currently level four and he needs to level up fast.
'I will learn some spear skills and start grinding to level 9' Raizen thought. After playing for some time he had picked many gaming terms like grind, Npc, mobs, noob etc.
Raizen wanted to learn some spear skills to increase his levelling speed. Even though he felt this weapon was enough to kill low-level monsters. If he had a skill he could easily one-shot some.
Raizen learnt recently that there were many ways to learn a skill in Reverie. The easy and widespread method is to get a Skill Book.
These things could easily allow one to learn a skill without doing anything. But those were rare and costly. Sometimes if you are exceptionally lucky, you could get one from monster drops.
Another method is for the Npc's to teach you the skill. On some occasions, some Npc teaches some skills that they acquired to others as a form of passing on their legacy.
But you need high affinity with that Npc, spend more time with them to get a favourable impression.
The last method is a bit unconventional. It is to understand the movement and intent of a skill and perform it themselves. This is how Raizen accidentally unlocked basic sword mastery.
Some people liked this method while some hated it. It gave people more freedom to explore. Some people who were experts in combat in real life used this method to gain some basic skills.
Raizen also noticed that some skills were based on real-life martial arts techniques. He had a good idea.
'Let me hunt some monsters while at the same time learn some skills' Raizen thought as he moved towards the Wolf Den.
Whenever Raizen moved through the forest, he always saw the familiar scene of people doing various things. This time one guy was even roaring loudly, hoping to lure some monsters to hunt.
Raizen reached the outskirts of the wolf's area. He noticed many people hunting lone wolves that separated from the pack. Only a party of four to five members engaged with groups of wolves.
Raizen started moving deep into the forests hoping to avoid players and hunt peacefully. Some surrounding players saw this scene and sneered.
"Just level four and he dares to enter into the forest alone"
The level of wolves started from level four and it went up to level ten. In the outskirts of the forest, most people met level four or level five wolves.
As Raizen moved deeper into the forest, he started to encounter level six to level seven wolves. Raizen avoided the wolves that were in packs and only aimed for the lone wolves.
After a while, luckily he stumbled upon a lone wolf. The wolf was moving through the forest when it suddenly sensed some movements.
Its ears pricked as it turned in the direction of Raizen and growled, threatening him. Since he abruptly found the wolf, Raizen had no choice but to confront it.
The wolf had dull grey skin with sharp claws and canine. It showed its canine and threatened Raizen.
He took the Shiny Spear from his inventory and prepared to attack. The wolf's body stiffened as it sensed this human's danger.
Raizen quickly checked its stats before engaging in combat.
[Gray wolf
Level-7
Health- 350/350
Attack- 75
Defence- 30
Skills- Claw Slash, Bite, Evade, Fury, Call of the pack]
'Hmm, I should be able to easily kill it as long as I don't get hit directly' Raizen thought.
The wolf kept on observing Raizen, hoping to sense any weakness in him. It kept moving sideways as it eyed Raizen.
'Not going to attack first ah' Raizen sneered as immediately created an opening in his left, baiting the wolf to attack.
The wolf sensed it and immediately pounced. Its sharp canines glistened ominously.
Raizen calmly dodged it. Seeing its target evading, the wolf didn't panic and quickly swished its tail.
Sensing the opportunity, Raizen grabbed the wolf's tail. He stared at the wolf's eye for a second and violently threw the wolf towards the tree.
As the wolf was hurling through the air, he readied his spear and aimed it.
Swish!
He threw the spear toward the wolf violently. The spear's tip was faintly covered in white light. The spear accurately pierced one of the wolf's eyes and embedded the wolf into a tree.
"Howwwwwwllll" the wolf cried in misery before losing its life.
'I wonder if Fenrir is doing well?' Raizen thought as he removed the spear from the wolf.
