Chapter 23 - TRUTH OR DARE

They both arrived at a cake shop. The address was in accordance with the information from Geona. "I am sure this is the right place," Ozora said.

They entered and were greeted by the waiter on duty at the front. "Can I help you, sir?"

"We are friends of Geona. She was the one who advised us to come here." Again, it was Ozora who answered

"Oh… Miss Geona. Yes, we know her. She ever helped us here. Do you want to make your own cake or do you just want to buy a cake?" The waiter asked in a friendly and very polite way.

"We want to make our own cake."

"Okay. Please fill out this form first. I'll call the therapist."

"Are you really going to pay for the cake for me?" Ozora still reminded him of their agreement for fear that she would have to pay for it herself. The woman was known to be very frugal when it came to money. Ozora wanted to have a lot of money so she could travel the world.

"Yes, talkative girl."

After filling out the form they were directed to a room. There were many cake ingredients and various kinds of toppings that could be used to decorate the finished cake.

They started to make dough and El started to get angry because several times the dough was damaged because of following the directions wrongly.

"Try again, El. It's okay to make mistakes," Ozora supported.

Indirectly Eldrick was learning to be more flexible. During this time he was always stressed because he was too perfectionist.

"Enjoy your world while decorating the cake. Just think about what you want to decorate on that cake. Make this cake like your own world. Understand?" The therapist gave instructions for the cake in front of them to be decorated according to what they wanted.

The first meeting made Eldrick annoyed but the results of the cake made him realize that failure still could be tolerated.

"How do you feel?" Ozora asked when they sat on chairs staring at their two cakes.

"This therapy is good for training me."

"Great. I'm pleased to hear it."

Ozora prepared food for Geona who was resting in the main room. The doctor strictly forbade her sister to do activities that could cause harm to her pregnancy. Genoa couldn't even go up and down stairs, so as a result Ozora would bring her food upstairs.

Geona and her husband's bedroom was already crowded due to the arrival of two intruders. Who else if not Eldrick and Nicko. After Geona eating food, Nicko suggested a game so that their weekend activities would be more exciting.

Nicko's idea was welcomed by three people except Othniel. The man didn't want any mess in his bedroom. How could he allow a commotion in the room when the doctor advised his wife to get plenty of rest?

The game continued because Geona begged her husband to keep playing the game in the bedroom. Othniel would always lose to his ego if it was his wife who asked.

Nicko's hand started to spin the bottle. All eyes were fixed and focused to see where the bottle head would lead.

"Ozora!" they shouted when the bottle head aimed at Ozora.

"Now you first, O. you choose truth or dare?" Nicko patted Ozora who was sitting next to him.

"Truth." Steadfastly without hesitation the tomboyish woman answered. She tucked her curly hair behind her ears and leaned forward. Her demeanor gave the impression that she was ready to be asked any question.

"Who wants to ask Ozora?" Nicko gave the opportunity to anyone who wanted to ask.

"I'll ask." El raised his hand and volunteered.

"Well, it looks like there will be an impromptu proposal here." Nicko sneered with his trademark laugh.

"When are you getting married?" That's the question El asked.

Ozora was silent for a moment making the four of them lean over and ready to hear the answer from the curly haired woman.

"I will never marry because I can live alone."

"What? You don't want to get married?" Nicko's brow furrowed. Indeed, many independent women chose that decision but she did not expect that the woman next to him would choose that decision for her future.

Of course it was not just Nicko who was surprised. Eldrick was more surprised than him. The attention that Eldrick had given to Ozora was wasted. Although there was disappointment in his heart, Eldrick tried to calm down. This means that his efforts were not enough to conquer the tomboyish woman's heart.

Eldrick took Ozora home with him. He wouldn't let her take a taxi home. Getting a free ride would not be missed by Ozora because the cost of taking public transportation could be saved. She wanted to set aside some of the money she had to explore beautiful places in various countries. Too much obsession with traveling made Ozora write a list of what countries she would visit. One of them was Indonesia, known as the country which has many thousand islands.

Ozora thought about the money she could save and she smiled.

"Why are you smiling like that?" El asked when the woman beside him smiled meaningfully but he didn't know the reason.

"Nothing."

On the way home, Eldrick wanted to ask but he had to arrange the words in his heart. He didn't want this sensitive question to hurt Ozora. Even though the woman was a tomboy, her heart was still soft and very sensitive.

"O!" He called out in a soft voice while his eyes focused ahead and made sure the road was still safe to pass.

"Yes, what's wrong, El?" Ozora who was called immediately turned to the side. She could see the seriousness on Eldrick's face.

"Are you serious about what you said?"

"Which words?" Ozora didn't understand where the conversation was going.

"A statement when we were still at Othniel's house. Is it true that you don't want to get married?" Eldrick made it clear what he wanted to ask.

"Yes. I don't need a man to live. After all, the marriage will only hold me back. I want to be free and I don't want to depend on men."

"Don't you want to have children?"
