" I will ask again. What did Adam do for her exactly?" Paul placed the file on the glass table. It was hard for Paul to consider the fact that Adam gave a girl this much attention.
" I just told you. But let me repeat that, Mr. Adam called a doctor for her when she fainted the other day and sat next to her until she regained consciousness afterward; he fed her with his own hands and kept calling her baby." Marry said the same lines for the second time in one breath while rearranging the files in the cabinets.
"That's new. But it is all in the past now." Paul laughed as he scrolled down on his Ipad and saw Carl entering the office.
"Here comes my pal." Carl and Marry both were unaware of the fact that made Paul so excited this morning.
"My guy...No, our guy scoured on that dimwit last night. So, no more trouble chasing after that girl." Paul put the Ipad on the table and sighed loudly, tucked his hands behind his head, and sat on the couch.
"Nope, she is different. She clearly said no to every royal treatment we offered. Not even a chance." Marry scoffed and slammed the cabinet door and twisted toward Paul at one heel.
" Tell me something new..." Carl said with a fake laugh because he knew, Adam for years and his charms. Carl walked directly and stood behind Adam's chair. Because it was about time for Adam to reach the office.
They postured their backs when the glass door opened, and Adam stormed in, tossing his phone fiercely on the marble floor and cursed, "Fu"ck. Holy fu*king dimwit..."
Three of them couldn't dare say a word to Adam. They had to wait for Adam to spill the beans on his own, which he did.
"That girl fucked Adam Kingston..." Adam unbuttoned his coat and moved close to his chair near Carl, poked his index finger in his chest, and again stated, "That awful dimwit fucked me, Carl."
Carl did not move an inch but nodded in response without a single word coming out of his mouth. Paul on the other hand knew the art of reasoning with Adam,
" I saw your text last night. You scoured, and pretty much it's the same thing. You won the bet."
Adam had his finger still pointed at Carl, but the moment he heard those words coming out of Paul, he strode toward him, holding him on his shoulders "You don't get it. You just don't Paul." Adam tapped his hands lightly on Paul's shoulder.
Adam was devastated this morning. He sighed loudly and walked to his chair, but stopped and again turned to face Paul standing near the couch," I did not win. My heart is aching and so does my mate in my pants, who was fucked by that dimwit. We both just got mugged to her desires."
Paul was concerned now. His forehead wrinkled and said, "Tell me about it."
"It's tough," said Adam, sipping on to his coffee. Marry stepped close, leaning her hand, " I will make another one, it's cold."
" Oh, no I deserve this cold coffee," Adam said in utter distress, and sipped twice.
Adam set the cup on the glass table, moaned again with his eyes closed, cleared his throat, and gave all three of them a flashback.
Flashback from the early morning.
I woke up before her, showered, and dressed for the office. I came back to the room and stood close to the door, and saw her putting on that dirty t-shirt and jeans she had, she scrolled through the phone and looked a little shocked. She had tasted the comfort of a luxurious life in one night.
I stood all prepared to give that dimwit a reality check, " Dimwit was like all other girls, she will ask for my number, call me honey, budge me all-time for things, demand for cash. She tried to play hard but what now? I did her pretty nasty last night." I thought to myself with my arm crossed with my eyes tracking her every little movement.
"Here, you are.." Dimwit ran her eyes all over me and again said, " You look good."
There it is. Just as I presumed. Now, she likes me. Soon she will be planning a wedding in her brain. I stepped forward, shaking my head gently, pointed my finger at her, and started, "So, I wanted to…"
"Adam, wait..." She halted me by putting a hand in front, "This can't work out for us. It's good for the first time but it's not practical at all." She shoved her phone into her back pocket.
What? What did she just say? THOSE WERE MY LINES. I am the superior progeny here. I widened my eyes and said, " Look, the thing is...''
"No, Mr. Adam, you are paranoid with yourself. Like you can just snap your fingers, and turn the tables around. But with me it's different. I saw that article your people published. Thank you for that, but I sort of earned it by working for Natalia, which happens to be your girl. But still thank you for giving a good rating to my agency." Her body language confirmed that my mojo did not work on her. She wasn't attracted to me. I could see in her eyes that she wanted to leave.
She bashed me at my own game. I desired to be the one articulating that but look at her, with these big lines coming out of her poor mouth. She was a different case. A case I never handled before. " You poor, nasty little dimwit, get out and don't dream big. I, Adam Kingstone just played with you." My insides wanted to smash those words all over her body but I remained silent. Because I had a bet, and my self-esteem knew that I lost it.
I tried my best to mask the expressions from my face, and I again heard her saying, " Adam, I need to leave. I have a life and a job to do. But I have just 70 bucks to pay for now. But I will contact Casino and pay in installments. I know it's a lot for a person like me, but I will pay for the damages." She was determined to take responsibility. What is that kind? I had never seen a girl like her. Usually, they wake up by my side and try their best to loaf around me but what is she? I had an expressionless face, I didn't know what exactly to tell her?
" Adam, are you upset?" She asked. Shit. Is that all too visible on my face? " No, it's just not a thing for me. But I wanted you to stay?" I stated in the politest way possible. But I lied I never intended to say that. All I craved was, to call my maids to toss her outside when she would beg to stay after our, one-night stand or a fu*king date. But she turned did not just turn the table but my whole Kingston heights upside down.
"Adam, whatever happened last night was just a poor mistake. We both got carried away. I am getting late...." She took her dirty bag from the floor and walked out of the room like she didn't care for the billions of dollars I carried. She just simply left. Like really gone.
It was hard to accept, and I froze at the scene. But soon I felt a sudden adrenaline rush in my body, with my cold feet turning hot in anger, and veins popped out with my blood pressure increasing every second. " How can she walk out on me? I will make her beg for me. I, Adam Kingston promise on the souls of the Great Kingston of all times, my forefather, that I will make this girl pay. For every single word, she said to me." I roared to myself as I heard the elevator sound and dashed out of the room to catch one glimpse of that dimwit.
But the door closed, and I could barely manage to peek at her face as the elevator closed. She just left for her poor life happily, all proud because she scoured on a billionaire, but for me, I just got played.
" Why would I run to see her just for a second.." I asked myself.

BACK TO REALITY
"That's enough I am calling her agency right now and they will fire her." Paul got heated up and took his phone out but waited for Adam to give his response on that.
Even Carl's blank face looked concerned for Adam. But Marry stood in the corner with her back patched to the cabinet and had a laugh plastered on her face. Because this time she was one step ahead and measured Stella perfectly.
"Care to add something, Because I fu*king pay you for that Marry." Adam straightened his back and growled at Marry.
" She is poor and poor people tend to hold self-respect as they lack money. And that girl is not a fling, timepass, or hookup material. She is pure and marriage material. So we should drop her and find you another one. Plus, poor people hate fancy things and you are all that."
Adam nodded positively as he found something and said loudly
" Fu*k, I need a plan, and there it. Good. Keep it up, Marry. Give her a raise this month Paul. Because I will purpose her today."
Paul and Carl looked dumbfounded because they knew Adam would go to every length to satisfy his dignity, but proposing someone was never the plan.
Adam stood from his chair, buttoned his coat, and said, "That's enough. We will start our day because I have certain plans later." Adam sounded confident as he walked out of the room, and they all followed.
