Once again walking towards the exit of the village, Mason was already thinking about tactics to kill the big beasts. The tactic he thought of that he liked the most? Of course it's brute force. He was planning to spam some skills and kill the beast easily. He had read in a book that most Mages are able to kill the lowest level beasts after around half a year of practice. And he had a year!
'My body is still weak, After I'm done today i should check out the shop and find if there are some solutions to that.' Mason thought
[Host can a stronger from rewards in the Wheel of Fortune, aswell as the shop function!]
'This thing can answer my questions and read my mind? Thats kinda scary, especially since I'm in my teens.' Mason knew his thoughts weren't always as clean as he would want them to be.
10 Minutes later, he arrived at the edge of the forest. Looking at this big forest made him kind of scared, since he almost died here 2 days ago. But he was stronger now and could probably easily kill the beasts, so he shook off those negative thoughts.
'Damn, finding these beasts is harder than I thought it would be' Mason got annoyed after walking around for half an hour.
After finally spotting another bear, his face suddenly brightened up and he smirked a little. The beast felt a slight chill course through his body, but it decided the wind was just extra strong today.
Mason was trying to position himself to be in the best position possible. His body was still weak so he couldn't get too close, he would die in a single hit from the massive beast. His range with Ice Magic was around 30 meters after practicing a whole day. How would he use this to his advantage? He would use the famous tactic used by every shitty gamer in a battle royale, bush camping.
After positioning himself in a bush 25 meters away, so he was sure he wouldn't accidentaly miss. He started to prepare.
'Okay, all I've got to do is use my Ice Domain, and follow up with Freeze. After the fucker is frozen, I spam it with ice bullet untill it dies. Sounds easy right?'
[Killed Level 3 Bear, 10 system points rewarded]
And it was as he was like an adult playing in a kids' dodgeball game, but the adult was tryharding anyway. He killed the bear easily and after gauging his own level, he went on with the grind.
After about an hour of slaughtering bears as if it was his life goal, he decided to check his rewards.
[Rewards earned]
[Killed Level 3 Bear x4, 40 system points rewarded]
[Killed Level 4 Bear x3, 45 system points rewarded]
[Killed Level 5 Bear x1, 20 system points rewarded]
[Total: 115 system points]
Mason didn't know if it was because this was a low level hunting area or not, but all he could find were those stupid bears. He wasn't complaining though as they were relatively easy to kill because of their big body and slow movement. They couldn't even reach him before they died.
'I only have about 120 mana left so I should take some time to recover it, since I have a bunch of time now anyways, I should take a look at what 115 system points can get me.'
First of all he opened the Wheel of Fortune tab, a Normal spin cost 200 points. But after that it got crazier. A Premium spin would cost him about 10 000 system points. An All-Powerful spin was something he shouldn't dream of right now. Sitting at a sky-high price of 1 million system points.
After that, he opened the Shop tab. In the shop he found all kinds of things, well thats still underestimating the Shop. Everything he thought of, could be bought. Mason suddenly got a crazy idea, he typed in the search bar: God-level Power. Not so surprisingly, this could also be bought. It's just that... the price was extravagant to say the least.
[God-level Power: 100 000 000 000 000 000 system points]
"Fucking hell thats a way to crush my dreams." Mason cursed out loud
Since he was low on Mana, he once again searched for something.
[Low-grade Mana Potion: 20 system points]
Mason decided he needed to know the effects of the potion first, so he asked the system. It would be bad if he bought a Potion just to find out it barely had any effects on him. He didn't want to waste his precious points for nothing.
[Low-grade Mana Potion will recover 500 Mana]
Mason decided it was definitely worth it so he bought 2 and almost fully refilled his tank.
After that, he decided it was time to start the grind again. Not knowing that a danger he wasn't ready to face yet was now looming around the forest.
