Chapter 34 - Wait Here

Kayla didn't really know what to do when she was standing there. She just decided it best to keep playing the terrified human. She'd listened to the conversation that this woman, and the one name Vincent had a moment before. She figured that this was Lust. While Savon dealt with her, she let the echo of conversations wash over her. It was a handy gift to have sometimes.

She just watched the two of them as she did so. Lust was very demanding with what she wanted. She just walked right up to Savon pretty much throwing herself at him. All that Kayla could really think was that she was definitely a bitch, plus a demon to boot. She hated her on sight. More so that she was touching Savon. If only they could kill her, but that would be the last move they ever made here.

Which surprised her with how jealous she suddenly became. It was kind of irrational wasn't it? With how things looked, chances were he'd end up going back to her room. Not like you could really deny one of them. It would make them stand out, and Kayla really didn't want to be pulled into that. Though they were going to have to do what they must to make it through. However she found herself being pushed into a normally lit hallway as Savon somehow managed to brush her off.

"That was Lust right?" She whispered once they were in the hall. Her name suited her. Bitch.

"Yes." Savon sounded dark and moody. Not a good combination in her opinion. They moved down the hall and there were plenty of sounds that came from the rooms that they passed. Some sounding pleasurable and others not so much. At least they were out of the pounding music and sounds of the main hall.

"We need to find the entrance to the next level." Savon said to her. Now that they were up here this was where they needed to find the rooms that belonged to Lust and Vincent. It was their best chance at getting to them. They needed to see what would be the most direct route to get to them. However you needed to know what rooms.

They came to a door that was slightly different than the others and Savon opened it. They went in and there were stairs there, like a back way. They moved fast going up and looking at the next level, there wasn't anyone there. Or at least a few, these were private rooms now. They made note of the structure of this area and moved to the next level. They had to be careful, if they were caught, even pretending to be demon in the wrong place was going to get them in serious trouble.

"Where do you think they would be? I mean how much of the high rise are they really using?"

"The first five floors." Savon said, he could feel the presence in them and knew that this was where it was. His senses told him that above the fifth floor was vacant, nothing worth much up there.

They were on the fifth floor now, and he didn't feel a single thing above them. Just here and this area was different. There was one hall and a set of double doors. They were locked but Savon picked it easily and opened the doors.

It was like a living area up here, looked more like a house really. They moved fast through the rooms and noted them all. There was an elevator here that went down to the basement level and up higher to the roof. It was exactly guarded but most demons were not stupid enough to cross Lust and Vincent. Their pride let the real enemy walk right in, after all no human was going to make it this far on their own.

"We have to leave." Savon said. They'd spent enough time up here. When you came in the double doors it was like a living room. To the left was a kitchen area and then a study just off of that. To the right was an odd room that looked more like a holding cell and then a bedroom where the elevator was.

"Agreed." Kayla said and they left the room locking it as they closed the doors. He moved following her down the stairs to the third level. They came out there but he stopped. He looked at the stairs and then moved into the hall.

"Something wrong?" She asked him nervously, not that being surrounded by the enemy wasn't a problem. He took hold of her and moved down the hall. He picked a door and opened it, they went in but he stopped in the open door while she was in the room.

"Stay here. I want to see where the stairs go, where they come out. It will be our best bet for a quick entry and escape. Plus I have a rather deep gut feeling there might be more than we know farther down. I can move faster on my own. I will be right back." He said and moved to leave the room.

"Savon..." Kayla said not liking being left in a dark room. They were not to split up, but she wasn't going to go running after him and make noise. The only light coming in the window there was dim at best. The door swung shut and she was left alone. Kayla felt nervous and scared being left here.

The room had a large bed that was messed up from previous occupants. It had an odd smell to it as well. She just moved over and sat down on it figuring she was stuck here until Savon came back. So she sorted through the conversations in her head. Though she was mentally counting in her head how long he was gone. Minutes felt like hours.

It was a good amount of time that she sat there and she got nervous every time that she heard someone come near the door. Kayla stood up looking around when the door opened quickly and he came back in the room. It was a rush of relief to see him. He shut the door and came over to her fast. She let out a surprised sound when he grabbed her and forced her back on the bed.

"Don't fight me." Savon said and there was a warning in his voice.

Kayla was very confused at the moment, but he moved quick. He tossed his shirt and undid his pants glancing at the door. He grabbed her hands pinning them next to her head before lifting her slightly gripping her thigh.

"Wrap your legs around me." He said and she did as he said. His mouth coming down on hers and she heard loud sounds out in the hallway. Savon moved his mouth a second later and turned her head. He bit into the side of her neck, and she made a sound of pain. The door to the room opened and she blinked back the light as it burned her eyes.

"No." Someone shouted, and the one that was at the door moved off fast. Savon looked up as the door swung shut sliding his tongue up the side of her throat. Then looked down at her. The side of her neck throbbed slightly. Why did she suddenly feel like they were going to have to high tail it out of here?
