Mrs.Asha looked though the peepwhole. Rayan was standing there. She opened the door to welcome him.
"Come inside ,Rayan.Sit here.What would you like ?"
"Anything should be fine."
"Aayat is not at home .She went to meet with her friends.She might be on her way back home.Stay for dinner.Ok?"
"Umm..alright."
Rayan was looking other direction.He couldn't meet eyes with her.Mrs. Asha noticed that.She thinks of rayan as her son."Any problem Rayan?"
"N..No ,aunty."
She thought she would ask Aayat when she comes back."I should call Aayat.It's good that Rayan is also here.I will talk with them today.We souldn't drag this marrige anymore." She started making dinner.
"Why isn't Aayat coming back? I should call her."
At that time Mrs.Asha heard rayan talking to someone. "Who he is talking with?" She went to look for Rayan.
when My mother was talking to Rayan I was enjoying with my friends. Completly relaxed, smiling."Who knows when I will get to enjoy like this."For the first time I guessed something right in recent days. After some hour my life would be turned upside down. But I was completely unware of this that time .It's a good thing human cann't see future.Otherwise no one would be able to enjoy present.
"O my god! It's that late already? I should end this soon.Mamma is alone at home."
"Ok, buddies.I have to go now .Mamma might be worried hell now.I had a good time.Let's meet again sometime,Ok?"
"Yeah ,it's fine."
When I was about to get out of the cafe my teacher called me.
"Aayat ,come to lab right now."
The uncomfortable feeling that was gone came back again.I was not sure But my mind was screaming.I drived like a maniac and reched lab. There was obviously something wrong.The wrong thing was the facility was completely empty.Not a single gurd was there.
" Where everyone has gone?Where are guards?"
As I entered the lab I saw the lab was a complete mess. My mind went blank."What possibly has happened here?Robbery?But how can a robbery happen in such a confidential place?"
I searched for my teacher like a mad .But he was nowhere to be found."Where he is?Is he alright?" All the possibilities was driving me crazy.
"Secret chamber!"
It strucked my mind suddenly. I ran towards the secret chamber praying him to be alright.when I opened the door I found my teacher in a corner, dying, soaked in blood.
"T...Teacher!!!" I screamed like a mad ."What happened here?Who did this?" I took my teacher's head on my lap. I was crying.The possibility of losing him drove me crazy.I was crying thinking the amount of pain he was going through.
"Teacher!Teacher! Please wake up .Look I have come.Please ,,I am begging you." His hands were cold .I started rubbing them like it was my only hope.
My teacher finally opened his eyes.He was unconscious from the shock.
"Teacher, Thank god you are awake.Hold on I will take you to hospital. Everything will be fine." I didn't know whom I was fooling .No one can survive after getting shot so many times.But I was chanting "Everything will be fine " like it will turn back time.I already lost my father's love once.I cann't lose it again.
"My child, I am alright. Get a hold of yourself.You remember the responsibility that I gave you ,right?"
He was unexpectedly calm.Maybe he was pretending just to make me feel good.
"Teacher,it's not the right time to talk about that. Let me take you to hospital.Urgh..where is my phone?" I was looking for my phone that I dropped while running here.
"My child, I don't have much time.Complete your promise now. Everyone has to die. I don't want to see our research in the hands of some mafia.They will tamper with that as they please.Complete your promise and let me die in peace."
The harsh reality that I am losing my father once again slapped me hard.
"Why ?Why I have to lose my father everytime?"
Thinking that I gathered my last bit of courage to fullfil his wish.I cann't let him die with his last wish unfullfiled.
I started working. I took the briefcase in which that device was set. and copied the whole research information in that pendrive.At the same time the virus was spearding and destroying everything.It took two years to complete that research but took only five minitues to destroy it.
When I came back to my teacher, he was sruggling to hold his last breath to tell me goodbye.
"You did good.Aayat do you know who did all this?It was Rayan and your father. They didn't get anything here.I tried to hide your name but they might have guessed it already.Save your mother. This is my last teaching to you,Never trust anyone." The breath he was holding so hard was exhaled at last.
But...
MY MOTHER IS IN DANGER!!
That thought occupied my mind completely.I couldn't think more.I embraced my teacher for the first and last time and leave his body there .I rushed to save my mother.I might be the most unfortunate student who couldn't even cry properly on her teacher's death.I look back for the last time only to see a place that was full of good memory to be the start of my nightmare.
