The man refused to let go of her hand. He stared at the girl intensely, and Doris couldn't help but gulp hard. She was feeling scared with the man's gaze towards her.
"Can I talk to you?" The man suddenly said, breaking the silence as he sensed that Everybody's eyes were on the both of them.
"Yes" Doris didn't know the spirit that forced that word out her mouth.
The man took Doris hand, left the dance hall.
They walked outside the castle. The man halted after he saw that they were in a place where no one could see or distract them.
"…." The man signed
"What do you want to talk about?" Doris said without hesitating.
"What's your name?" The man asked
"My name is Doris and Urs?" Doris asked him back
"My name is Kai" Kai said and Doris jolted
"Are you the prince?" Doris asked because he bore the same name with the prince, but she couldn't see the Shadow of a crown of his head.
" Why? Because my name is Kai?" The man asked in a teasing tone. She guessed as much as she could notice he was nothing to be notified as a prince, but looking at his appearance he looked wealthy and young. She could say very handsome with his mask on.
"So, who are you?" Doris asked as her purple eyes glinted with curiosity.
"Someone you would soon get to know. Just be a little patient" Kai said as he smiled. His smile was really breathtaking that she forgot to breathe.
Doris just watched him as he smiled.
"Let's go inside. It's time for the prince to choose his maiden" Kai said, and he held Doris hand as they walked inside the castle together.
Everybody's eyes were searching waiting for the prince arrival. Their hearts were thudding loud. The maidens were all nervous, the expression could easily tell with the expression on their face. Kai left Doris as he walked upstairs to meet the other guys.
"It's time, Your Highness" A person said as the Prince approached them.
"I know" He cut them off as his gaze fell on a particular girl. He smiled devilishly as he licked his lips slowly.
Doris could hear people's heartbeat, beating loud. Her 'I don't care' attitude made her pissed off. She didn't know what her reaction should be. Her gaze fell on Betty, who already grip her dress hard. Betty's expression made her smile wide.
"Oh my, the Prince must be Charmin" Doris chuckled. Even though she hasn't one-on-one with the prince but with the lady's expression, she could tell how breathtaking his beauty would be.
