Chapter 19 - DISCLOSURE OF A DEFIANT PERSONALITY

Sitting on the stairs of the mosque and lacing up his shoes, Humayun becomes amazed by catching a sudden sight of a fallen girl. Crowd begins to gather around her which doesn't let him see the face of the girl. Becoming more eager and conscious, he stands up and moves to get indulged in the crowd to check who the girl is. As he goes closer, he hears freaking sounds of a few boys, hooting a girl for riding a bike and the scenario indicates that those boys hitted her bike while overtaking her just to ridicule her. Everybody becomes surprised when they see that the girl stands up immediately instead of crying and feeling vulnerable, leaving her bike away, runs hurriedly closer to the boys, holds one of their collars and pulls him down from his bike.

Consequently, the bike rider loses his grip and balance and hence stops the bike to avoid falling. She slaps the held boy forceful enough that he falls away. Humayun peers into the face of the girl to make sure that she is Sara. As soon as he becomes sure that the girl is Sara, he runs forward to stop her but suddenly he stops himself with something in his mind. The whole crowd pridefully witnesses that a young girl beats and punishes three rascals very bravely, without getting hurt herself. The boys themselves are surprised because they didn't know that this all will be going to happen with them.

At last, they join their hands and say sorry to her. She lets them go with a warning and then asks the crowd angrily to leave the show and do their work. As the crowd leaves and dissolves into the environment, she turns to her bike and becomes amazed to find that her bike has already been stood up by Humayun, who is still busy examining its engine.

She calls him, "Hey! What are you doing? It doesn't need work anymore!"

Humayun stands up with a very calm reply,

"No, it doesn't! But it needs to be driven carefully otherwise it will get hurt!"

Sara replies with a smile, "Really! Do you care about the vehicles only? Do you literally love them?"

She laughs mirthfully, sitting upon her bike.

"May I drop you sir? To your sweet showroom!"

Sara asks, smiling.

"I can go myself more safely. I don't want to be injured."

He replies very calmly with his hands in his pocket then turns to his way, without looking back at Sara who is standing there and looking at him, but still hiding that he is feeling thrilled.
