Peter was still trying to find something to do so that he could destroy Edmund. Everyone he had gone to ask for help from had declined and he realized that he was all alone.
The only person left that would help her was the enemy. As he made his way to Mateo's territory witches were already surrounding him.
"I come in peace", he said as he raised his hands.
"When did the enemy ever say they come in peace", said Mateo as he made his way to where Peter was standing.
"I think both of us can work together", said Peter.
"And why would I do that?" _asked Mateo sarcastically.
"Cause we want the same thing", said Peter.
"Do we?", Mateo asked him.
"Yes we both want Edmund out of this town and am here to help you", said peter.
"You k ow if you could get him out of this town you wouldn't need me at all and so you being here is proof enough there is nothing you can do. You hating him won't make him leave don't involve me in this sick plan of yours", said Mateo as he walked away.
"We can use the sister to make them cave", said Peter, and Mateo stopped in his tracks.
He could not believe that Peter was suggesting that abduct Katelyn and using her as leverage.
"She will kill you even before you make any move", said Mateo before looking back.
"What happened to you? You were so bent on destroying us and now that the Watson's are back it's like you went soft like you are scared of them", said Peter.
"Now listen here, I don't know who told you that I can help you because I can't and I won't you give from here in seconds otherwise you'll be dead don't ever step here ever again", said Mateo as he waited for Peter to leave.
"I just", started saying Peter but in seconds witches were surrounding him and he gave up and left.
No one wanted to help him and he was tired of it all, he could do it himself.
"Hey wait up", said someone behind him and he turned to mind Arnoldo.
"Did Mateo send you to kill me?", Peter asked him.
"No it's just that we both want the same thing", said Arnoldo.
"I thought we didn't want the same thing a few minutes ago?", Peter asked him.
"That is what Mateo said not me", said Arnoldo.
"You think I'll believe that?", asked Peter.
"I don't think if it matters if you are goo g to believe me or not. See you could have left a long time ago, the people who had left with you finally decided to join Edmund and I k ow it's because they didn't have any other choice", said Arnoldo looking at Peter.
"You stayed back because you still want your people back and you are the only person who can fight for them. I want the Watson family home as much as you do. So why would you say no to getting help because we both know that there is nothing that you will achieve if you are alone", said Arnaldo.
"Well what will Mateo say if he finds out that you helped me when he specifically said that he wasn't going to help me?", Peter asked Arnoldo.
"We'll just have to make sure he never finds out because if he does am not working with you", said Arnoldo.
"I have to think about it then", said Peter.
"You don't have much time to do that you better decide within an hour", said Arnoldo as he walked away.
Just like Peter, he could not u understand what had happened to Mateo. A few weeks before that he would have jumped to that opportunity and done what was supposed to be done.
He wasn't a person who backed down from fights but he somehow let Watson take over what was once his so if it was Arnoldo who would save the day he was not going to let that chance pass him.
He saw Mateo outside his cottage and went over to him.
"Hey", said Arnoldo.
"Hey, where have you been?", Mateo asked him.
"I just went to town to catch up with the boys", said Arnoldo.
"You don't smell like liquor", said Mateo as he loomed at Arnoldo.
"We weren't drinking", said Arnoldo as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Okay, you will believe who was just here asking for help", said Mateo chuckling.
"Who?", Arnoldo asked him.
"Peter, he wants us to help him drive away the Watson family and I said no. This is a win from us you know. If they are already weak and someone wants to destroy them from the inside then that's a win from us", said Mateo.
"How is that a win for us? ", Arnoldo asked him.
"Well the best person to destroy you is someone that you trust so if I refused to help Peter he is going to find someone and he loomed pissed which means he will find a way", said Mateo.
"He sure will find someone else to help him, and if I may ask why didn't you want to help him?", Arnoldo asked Mateo.
"Because I don't want to be caught in the middle of any crossfire it is best if I stay clear of all of this. If we attack them they will attack us right back and I don't want my people to die in a fight that we will never win", said Mateo.
"How sure are you this is a fight that we can't win?", asked Arnoldo.
"This is the Watson that we are talking about. The most powerful vampires to ever exist anyone would be a fool to think that you can defeat them by war", said Mateo.
"Well if one can't defeat them by war then how will one be able to defeat them?", asked Arnoldo confused.
"The only way you can ever be better than them is they betray each other. They do not trust anyone else apart from themselves. They have something very dear to themselves, the family you can't defeat that.", said Mateo.
"Okay so the only way to defeat them is if they fight against each other, turn there we have a solution we just have to make something that will draw them apart", said Arnoldo.
"No, we can't do that they will never fight each other no matter how bad they wrong each other and that is what makes them the most dangerous because no matter what you throw at them they will always unite to kill you", said Mateo.
