Chapter 45 - Noah..and

Before we left Mr.Willson's place, Noah came to me.

"Is there anything you want Noah?"

"Can I meet her?" he asked looking at his hands.

"You mean Sarah?"

He looked at me.

"Mr.Willson, why don't you and your brother join us for tea tomorrow," I said inviting him.

"Thank you, Mr.Ben. We will be happy to join," said Mr.Willam.

Since it was the weekend Alex and Meg had planned to go on a little trip. So I was at home with Sarah to welcome them, After I told the whole story to Sarah, she said she made a basket of food for the evening picnic by the big tree in our garden.

"Love, do you need any help?" I asked her hugging her from behind.

"Hmm... well you can make some lemonade if you like," she said looking at me with a piping bag full of icing in hand.

The next thing I know was her laughing at me and at the same time Markus came in with two guests.

They all looked at my face while hiding a smile. At the end, Markus touched his nose to let me know. I look a pan and looked into my face to find a big blob of icing in red. Without letting Sarah know I got that icing on my nose and put it on her cheek, with a little threat,

"How dare you prank your husband," I said with a peck on her nose and went to greet my guests.

"Welcome, Mr.Willson and Noah. Please feel free as if you are at home," I said, and Markus helped Sarah to prepare the lemonade.

"You do have a lovely home. So peaceful and calm," said Mr.Willson.

"Yes, after what happened, I moved here. Away from the busy city. My parents and Alex's parents live on the two next doors," I said.

"Can I go outside?" asked Noah.

"We all will go in a while after the lemonade is made," said Sarah coming near me.

"Honey, meet Mr.Willson and this is Noah,"

Hi," was all she said.

If I am being frank Noah was so pale and fragile for his age. He is about five years younger than us and his brother, Mr.Willson, dot on him like a father.

"Thank you for sending those photos," she said.

"Welcome," was all Noah said and his eyes wandered toward a photo. A photo of Dave he had sent, enlarged and kept on a bookshelf.

"You should really love photography?"

"Yes sister, but I cannot be out so much now," he said looking down.

"But if you like you can come here on weekends when we are around to take photos in the garden if Mr.Willson permits?" I said as I felt bad for him. He is just a young kid like any other.

"Noah, if you like I will bring you here," he said stroking his hand lovingly.

After handing Markus and his team a share of the picnic preparations, Sarah, Noah, Mr.Willson and I went near the lake with the big tree for our little picnic. It was so much fun and to see Noah enjoying every minute felt so good.

"Noah, you need to have this," said Mr.WIllson, handing him some pills. After he drank it Mr.WIllson went to walk around and I joined him.

"Mr.Ben, thank you for your hospitality. Seeing him so happy and laughing is all I need," he said while holding my shoulders. But I felt something was bothering him, he was in pain."

"I am sorry for asking such, but is he really ok?"

"hmm... if I am being frank he doesn't have much time left,"

"What do you mean?" I knew something was wrong by the look of Noah but never thought it to be so serious.

"Heart disease, only option a heart transplant,"

"We can try to find one,"

"hmm because of his rare form of blood group, it's hard to find a matching one,"

"Does he know?" I asked as I felt bad about it. The situation was serious.

"He got to know about two months ago. That's one reason he wanted to help you find who did it."

there were tears pooling in his eyes. I hugged him.

"Noah, made a promise with everyone, to let him go when his time comes refusing a heart transplant,"

"Mr.Willson, we are here with you. I can see how happy he is with Sarah You can bring him anytime he asks for her,"

"Thank you, Mr.Ben. It means the world to see a smile on his face after many years,"

"We will let him enjoy the time he has to the fullest by doing what he loves best," I assured him.
